I will admit that the location is off putting, however I still wanted to go in and try the mango sticky rice which was sold out. I ended up getting the mango Millie crepe cake which was also satisfying, as I enjoyed the texture of the cake and the mangoes were ripe and sweet. I would add ice cream on the side as well. This is one of the multiple locations of this popular HK dessert chain and my preference for going to their locations can partially correspond to how many other spots in the neighborhood offer the same things for less as the locations in terms of flavors tend to be pretty consistent. I personally prefer for instance another spot or two in Flushing for Mango Pomelo Sago so it's less likely that I'll stop here. The most notable thing otherwise are the "Snow White Juice" items which is a secret recipe but is rumored to be made from coconut and a few other things and it adds a smoothness and light sweetness to desserts. I otherwise like the durian desserts here though I prefer Kulu and a few others. As noted by others, the outside of this specific location is not inviting which is unfortunate. My preference is still the Special Mango Juice Sago & Pomelo with Mango Ice Cream which is $8.25 or you can get it without ice cream for 50 cents less. The mango tends to be high quality even when it's not in season (though it is a bit sweeter when it's not summer/spring) and there is a pleasant tartness from the pomelo. Whatever ice cream brand they use or ship between the different stores is good quality. The dessert in general is refreshing and sweet and the portion size is big enough essentially to justify the price point. Our Snow White Juice option was with Red Bean and Green Tea Ice Cream for $7.75. It was mildly sweet overall from the red bean and juice with the dessert also had some pieces of nata de coco/coconut jelly which added a good crunch. The ice cream again was pretty good quality. My least favorite option that we got was the Mango Coconut Sticky Rice With Ice Cream for $9.50. The presentation is nicer compared to what you find in Thai spots but I didn't like the texture of the rice and it didn't work as well mixed compared to other places. It has a fun concept especially with the customizable amount of coconut to pour on top but I wasn't a huge fan. The fact that it is also more expensive than the other better mango desserts doesn't help either. Are these the best HK desserts? Not really. But it's a good chain and it's much more reasonable than let's say Spot and the quality tends to be pretty good. Mid 3 like every other location. read more

So I had gone to a similar place in London and I was dying to find one in NY, luckily my friend put me on to Mango Mango, and lo and behold, they had the same kind of dessert I had been looking for!! I will say that the cake was very dry so I wouldn't recommend it. I would recommend sticking to the crepe cakes. The mango sago was delicious though -- you can never go wrong with ordering this! We came as a party of 3 and had our desserts ready at our table almost immediately after ordering, which was very pleasant. However, my server had forgotten to give one of my party a utensil to eat her food - we had asked for an extra utensil. We really liked the Mango Pancakes (S2). The bathroom is incredibly dirty when I went and they did not have any toilet paper available. Additionally, there were no paper towels to dry my hands and the hand dryer has been broken. Came here on a Friday and considering that I've been to some other better locations for mango mango, I'm not quite convinced I want to come back to this location. This is to comment on the store as a whole, and not quite the service. It was a pretty busy night. No one was waiting at the door but the cafe was packed. The first thing I notice is that the poor man was the only person working the cashier AND was the only server for the entire cafe. He was insanely busy and we felt so bad for him, and so we just question why they were not able to better staff the cafe especially on a busy Friday night. In addition, the ambiance at a first glance from afar looks okay, but once you look into it more there's a bunch of trash piled in front of the store, and our table, chairs, and even the plate seemed like very poor quality. Overall the store and storefront just didn't give that clean and refreshing feeling you should get when walking into a dessert shop (which is drastically different from their Quincy location near Boston). The food itself was pretty good, but took a while for it to come out. We got the mango pancake which was pretty standard. We have been coming here for years and although I miss the bench booth seating it seems roomier and bright. This is one of the cafes I love coming to for desserts. Recently tried their mango strawberry latte with crystal jelly and it was so fresh with real fruit inside and the jellies add a fun touch. It also came in a cool insulated bag to go. The mango pomelo is a hk favorite and always refreshing to have. I love the flavor of the mango crepe cake and my favorite part is counting the layers while I eat it. The mango pancake is so soft and fluffy that it is like biting on a cloud with a shot of mango burst flavor in there. The service was pretty good also the waiters kept trying to greet and seat people coming in for either eat in and take out. It took about 10 minutes to prepare the stuff. The situation escalated into an argument because of the staff's poor attitude. This was not handled with basic courtesy. As paying customers, we deserve polite and respectful communication. What made it worse: * There was no clear phone number or complaint channel available. * The male staff member refused to provide his name. * His behavior was dismissive and disrespectful, including eye-rolling and an unprofessional manner. However, this time, I was only with one friend and already ate so much at lunch (yes this is an ongoing issue, will try to eat less next time haha). I was very excited to try this place as mango is my favorite fruit, and while it wasn't a disappointment, it also wasn't as stellar as I thought it was going to be. My friends and I split the Combo B and a slice of the mango mille crepe cake, which ended up being the perfect amount of food for 3. My favorite was probably the mango juice with mochi and ice cream, with the mango pancake coming in second purely for the novelty factor. Everything was pretty lightly flavored, and as all Asian sweets go, lightly sweet. If you're looking for a sugar bomb, this won't be it, but if you're looking for something light after a big meal in Flushing, this is a good place to go. Where they lose points is on the rest of the experience. The cafe looked like it had seen better days (stained, broken furniture), and our table was dirty and uncleaned. Service was pretty abysmal. Menus got tossed at us, and whenever we needed anything from the servers, they looked annoyed. The entrance of the store was cluttered with garbage cans and garbage, just looked dirty and unwelcoming. The store was not very crowded and we were seated right away.
