The spot to go whenever you have a sweet tooth. I love coming here at night for a sweet treat (my favorite is the strawberry mocho donut!) since there's always a great selection no matter the time you come (I've literally come in 5 minutes before close and still left with a bag of pastries). It's a also a good place to get some work done with their free wifi. Coffee is good and they have seasonal drinks as well. Overall it's in a great location since it's part of the WOW shopping plaza. This pastry shop is my favorite chain in houston. They have so many options of things. I feel like if you don't like one thing you will find something you do like. My favorites: * Chocolate Croissant shell with chocolate melted on top and chocolate filling inside.. buttery shell just falls apart and melts in your mouth. * Dubai Chocolate Mochi Donut is good. The chain company provides creative tasty baked goods you can't find elsewhere. Yet I don't really recommend the strawberry cream croissant nor the pistachio cream croissant, both creams taste like essence. everything else is likeable. Paris Baguette is a chain. But I think highly of their quality. A Biscoff cream filled croissant-muffin was just excellent. Historically, my default was the coconut custard filled croissant. I like the softness of their baked goods. They are not dried out or stale tasting. For me, it is one of the five closest options for the types of pastries that one might find just about anywhere in Spain. It is interesting for me that, historically, the pastries of a typical Mexican panaderia, even with their roots in Spanish culture are very dry and need to be dunked into hot coffee or chocolate (conchas and other breakfast pastries). The good news is that with the latest crop of young graduates from Mexican culinary schools, the pastries are getting better and better. I don't like the pricing of their products but I hope the prices reflect their use of better ingredients. (I hope). read more

I went to Paris Baguette for the first time, and oh my goodness it's such a charming little café! There's plenty of cute decor and bright lighting, making it an inviting space. It reminds me of 85 Degrees but with a French twist. You grab a tray, pick out your pastries, and check out at the register. There's a decent amount of seating available, and I could see myself coming back here to study. The options for pastries are ENDLESS. The pictures don't even do it justice. There are so many to choose from that it was hard to choose just one. I ended up getting an almond pastry, which had filling that I wasn't expecting. I usually don't go for filled pastries, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I wish I remembered the name and took a picture of it! I am new to Houston and love to explore, I set out on a Saturday to got to the businesses in the WOW shopping area. I had seen this bakery on Instagram and really wanted to try it as it looked so good. Well they did not disappoint the ambiance is good and the staff are extremely attentive. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Sunday we were out and about. We got Ramen for lunch and I was craving something sweet. I had no idea where to go, but I wanted a pastry. Pulled up my trusty Yelp app and was given a few suggestions, but decided on Paris Baguette, and boy am I glad that I did. Walking in, it was nice and clean. I was offered a tray and noticed that you just pick your own pastries then go up to the counter to check out. Let me just say, leaving me with that much control is a bad thing for my big back. Everything, and I mean everything looked delicious. But, I've had pastries before that looked great, but just tasted ok. I loaded up my tray with wayyyy too many pastries, not surprising for me. My husband loves Red Velvet cake and I noticed that they were even selling that per slice behind the counter, so I had to add that to the huge amount of pastries that I already had. Why not? I went to pick up the birthday cake I've ordered and it took way longer than it should have. Girl at the register asked me so many questions before heading towards the back for god knows how long. I noticed she even offered to give him candles and a paperbag to put everything in. (As she should have-- but we'll get into it later). When she was done with him, she looked over to me and asked me if I've been helped because the original girl was still MIA. I saw a little ad thing they were selling the Dubai Chocolate Latte so I got intrigued. I figured while I was still waiting I'll go ahead and order 2 of those lattes. But to my surprise, after I've paid that girl went off and started roaming around towards the pastries... so much for making use of my time. The original girl that went to get my cake finally came back and proceeds to ask me more verification questions for this darn cake. I told her I had ordered two drinks while she was gone. She took again forever to put the cake in its box and taped it. Afterwards she just slid the box over trying to hand it to me like that. Hello? Where is the candles and bag? I held off on saying anything, figured I'll wait for my drink to he be finished. She took a long time to get my drink done and this is where I'm really getting antsy. She comes back with only one drink...I told her I had orderd two. Turns out her co-worker only rang me up for one. Tell me why one drink is almost $9. So she rang me up a second time and of course more waiting. What's crazy to me is that the line was forming and her co-worker is on the side and just playing on her phone...I know for a fact she saw the line because each time the door opens and people would walk in, she'd look up to greet and welcome in the customers. The girl finally finished my forgotten drink. I told her she didn't give me any candles for the birthday cake yet. She answers "we don't give them out, we have it for sale." Getting a little more irritated by the minute...I let her know I saw her co-worker handling the candles to the previous customer even directed her to the cabinet behind her. She walks into the back and gave me candles (unwrapped not in their usual sleeve) and slides it underneath the handle of the cake box. Without tape. I don't know what she was thinking...like the candles will slide right off once the box is picked up. I think she just expected me to walk off with my lattes and cake while having to balance the loose candles on top. To save her time and my own time, I had to tell her to please just put everything in a paper bag. Oh. The best part, the drink tasted nothing like Dubai chocolate. YUMMY! My daughter has enjoyed her big croissant with Nutella, and I loved both the coffee cronut and regular cronut with lemon icing. My husband said the cronuts here were not as good as that at the Dominique Ansel- Uhhhh....so I gave him a huge side eye. Wonderful staff! The pastries were organized very neatly and all of them looked yummy! I got a few to try out. My favorite was the creme brulee bombolone: sugary candied top and good amount of custard filling. Everything else was delicious but only one was disappointing. The cream cheese donut was very hard on the outside that it was inedible. The cream cheese on the inside was sad. Paris Baguette originated from South Korea. I had been to the ones in South Korea so I was excited to try the new location on WoW (West on West). The interior is brightly lit, clean, neat, and beautiful. Half of the cafe is filled with cases of pastries and cakes. The other half of the cafe is filled with tables and chairs. There was a good selection of breads, pastries, and cakes. However most of the baked goods were the same as what you can find in other bakeries. It would be great if they had more unique items. The pretty whole cakes did look delicious in the display shelf though. I bought the mochi nut, red bean bread, and fruit pastry. The fillings weren't sweet which was a plus. The bread and pastry were soft, and the mochi nut was chewy and soft too. The staff was friendly. There is ample parking space. This big Korea bakery chain open a new location here in Houston today. It's also my first time going to a Paris Baguette. It was nice and clean and big this one has plenty of tables and chairs for you to enjoy your coffee and baked goods. They only have plastic one use utensils and no free water. My friend asked politely and the cashier was hinting that I can buy a bottle of water. But one of the other employee give me a cup of water. Some of the baked goods are too sweet. I had it delivered via Uber Eats Delivery today and it took about an hour and a half to receive (location is about 15 min away) - however, that's on Uber Eats not the bakery. Overall I'm rating the food and coffee I got here today a 5/5, and I will be adding them to the very short list of favorite dessert places in the US. What I ordered and thought about each item is below: Ham & Cheese croissant - arrived cool to touch, heated up for 15 seconds and was perfectly warm and still crispy on outside (very important to me). It was heavier on cheese than ham, with ham being thinly sliced - this is NOT a compliant. I think it all goes perfect together and is not overwhelmingly meaty or cheesy, as it balances extremely well with buttery deliciousness of flaky croissant. I rate this a 9/10, def would get again. Caramel Macchiato with Almond Milk- sooo yummy, perfectly prepared. I got mine with almond milk instead of cow milk. They did have an option to order extra hot and I think for delivery I should've done that but still yummy. 9/10 Chocolate cream bread- I was nervous because it came in plastic packaging and I don't know but I think the sticker on it means it's made on the 30th (which is today). I am not a chocolate person so I was nervous for that too, I didn't really know what to expect with it or if I needed to heat it up? so I split in half and kept one room temp and heated up the other side for 10 seconds. I took a little bite and it's actually really good. The chocolate is more like a ganache, it's creamy and not overly sweet, which goes really well with the bread. Overall even tho I'm not a chocolate lover, it's pretty good. 6/10 cold 7/10 warm Croissant- this sucker is big, about the size of my entire hand. Great color, good crisp, flaky and buttery. Def a good traditional French croissant. 9/10 Red velvet cake - this is normally one of my favorite desserts and I haven't high standards for it, so when I saw it I was worried because I could see air pockets in the cake. However, when I used my fork to prep a bite, it just kind of melted (in a good way) onto the fork. There are strawberries in between each layer with the frosting, which I thought would be too, much it's actually really good. It doesn't make it too sweet they use a really aerated or fluffy icing to balance the sweetness, it feels like a natural sweetness. It's pretty darn good. If you don't like strawberries, I would recommend staying away from this one, each bite you will get at least 3 to 4 slices of strawberry. It tastes more like a strawberry cake than a red velvet cake, perhaps they should consider calling it a strawberry red velvet cake. The only down side (kinda) is how the aftertaste is kinda like fruity pebbles. 8/10 for flavor profile, but 6/10 if u want true red velvet cake Berry tart - this tart is by far one of the most beautiful and delicious desserts I've ever had. I could eat the filling with the crust as a dessert all by itself. It is sweet, but not overwhelmingly sweet. All the fruit is extremely fresh, and crisp where it needs to be. It adds a bit of refreshing sweetness to the dessert. I would say this is one of the best desserts I have ate in my life and will note be my latest hyperfixation food. Oh my gosh, get this, get this, get this - you will thank yourself later. 10/10 Tiramisu tart - full disclaimer I have no idea what a tiramisu cake tastes like normally, but this taste like cream cheese, cheesecake, mocha coffee powder, and a coffee-chocolate graham cracker crust. It does dry your tongue out after a bite, but it has a really good flavor and pairs amazingly with coffee. It is probably this pairing why I'm giving it such a high rating. If I weren't drinking coffee, I probably wouldn't eat this. 8/10 read more

I'm writing to express my serious dissatisfaction with the customer service I experienced at Paris Baguette location on Westheimer Road in Houston, specifically with Marieme. My visit, intended to purchase a birthday cake, turned into a frustrating, time-wasting, and disappointing ordeal due to your so called store manager's (Marieme) unprofessional conduct and lack of customer care. First, I was told that the store was out of birthday candles. When I asked, "You don't have candles that comes with the cake?" Marieme bluntly replied that they "just happened to be out today." No apology. No alternative offered. No accountability. I had to purchase candles separately -- a completely avoidable inconvenience if your team had basic courtesy or foresight. Second, I spent $68 on cake plus other pastries and attempted to log in to my Paris Baguette rewards account. Marieme spent over 30 minutes trying to help, only to fail. I asked what the points would have amounted to -- she said 68 points, enough for a free pastry. I asked to take a pastry to account for the app's failure. She said no, claiming it had to be redeemed via the app. So I spent a considerable amount, wasted time, and received nothing for it. What's even more appalling is that Marieme decided to stick to the app process even though it clearly wasn't working, instead of making it right for a customer who's clearly earned a reward. That doesn't feel like great customer service, especially coming from a "store manager." I expected a better judgement especially when she claimed she's the manager and the issue was small and fixable. Despite my time wasted, and I was the one who came up with a solution and offered a reasonable alternative, she decided to follow a rigid policy over doing what's reasonable for a customer who clearly qualified, even after wasting my 30 minutes trying to figure out app not working, not even an apology. Where is the common sense that puts customer-oriented service first? That's disappointing, and honestly, it feels like she was not willing to do the right thing. The most infuriating part? I asked her to call the owner. She did -- but stepped away to speak privately. I was not allowed to speak directly with the owner. I have no idea how she framed the story, and it was clear she was protecting herself. The owner, based solely on her word, sided with her without even hearing from me -- the paying customer. This is unacceptable. Your store's handling of the situation was not only inflexible and inconsiderate -- it was deliberately non-transparent and dismissive. I deserve to be heard and respected as a customer. At the very least, I expect a formal apology, compensation for the missed points and time wasted. I left feeling completely dismissed and disrespected. This approach to the customer service sets the wrong tone.
