Made the drive to check these guys out. So cute! But the fillings were a little too intense for my liking. Recommend trying one before you commit to more as they are kinda pricey. Quality is great! Recommend trying one for sure.
November 29, 2025 Drove in from Galveston with my niece who drove on from Buna, TX She's had this candied fruit before but with ice cream. This time we wanted to try these with mousse. We got strawberry with strawberry mousse and banana with chocolate mousse. Both were fantastic We also got Dubai chocolate which was delicious, too.
Had to come here to try out the viral fruit-shaped desserts. This review is based on that food item only. Staff/Atmosphere: All the staff were friendly. If there is a line don't worry, it actually moves quickly. There are a few tables if you want to eat-in. Fruit- shaped desserts: If you've wanted to try the fruit desserts, this is the place! I've tasted them at another local bakery and didn't like them. Suzie's does them right! I got the strawberry, mango & coffee fruit desserts (also that's my order for how I liked them). All 3 were very tasty, not overly sweet or artificial tasting. I wasn't sure what to expect on the inside but was pleasantly surprised. The mousse inside is light & airy and is the flavor of the fruit/coffee bean. The fruity ones were my favorite. The coffee bean is good it's just the fruit ones are more refreshing tasting. The outside chocolate covering on all of them has a nice crunch & is not overpowering. I definitely recommend you give them a try. They are quite unique. Btw. They are $15 each so it's a bit of a treat for the small dessert but share with someone so you can try multiple flavors. And go straight home with them cause they need to be in the refrigerator. Other Desserts: Many other sweets looked good--watching them pour the Dubai chocolate over the strawberries, cake slices, baklava, & gelato. Parking: The parking can get really hectic in the small strip lot shared with other businesses. If they're really busy, you might need 1 person to go get in line while the driver waits on a parking spot.

I came here in search of some treats and tried some items, but the treats here left me disappointed. I'm not sure what all of the items were called, but I did not enjoy the ones made with phyllo dough. They were soggy and had a mushy texture. I did think the pistachio and Ferrero rocher cakes were okay - they were fluffy and soft but the flavors didn't come through very much. They did have a good variety of desserts to try, so it might be worth trying the other items. Parking was easy. The ambiance was low key and quiet, and the employees were kind. There were a few tables to enjoy your treats if you wanted.
Despite its compact size, this pastry shop offers an array of dessert options to satisfy your sweet tooth. One of its greatest advantages is that it's open late (M-F 9am-10pm, Sat-Sun 9am-12am), making it an ideal destination for a late-night treat after dinner. I'm a big fan of chocolate, especially dark chocolate so I ordered a bar of Dubai Dark Chocolate since they make it here. It's not very common to find Dubai DARK Chocolate so I was thrilled to see they have it here. Service is friendly. The cashier offered a complimentary surprise treat for a review, which I assured him I already planned on writing one. Nevertheless, he promptly placed a small container in my bag. When I got home, I tried the complimentary surprise treat and it was not a pleasant surprise. I don't know its name and I am uncertain of its composition but I wouldn't order it. Ever. The texture was soft and gooey and the milky-yogurt-pistachio flavor was more on the bland side. It also had a slightly rancid taste to it. Sadly, I had to discard the entire container after just one spoonful. On the other hand, the Dubai dark chocolate was a delightful treat. It wasn't excessively sweetened and as expected, it had a nice crunch to it. The bar is gorgeous looking with its gold decor. Considering the size of the bar and quality, I found the price of $7.50 to be quite reasonable. Whenever I crave a good Dubai dark chocolate bar, this will be my new go-to place for one.

The first time I went around 3pm on a Sunday and the line was out the door but it did move quickly. The next times, I came around noon during the week and there was no line. The service each time is pleasant. Everyone is so helpful and welcoming. I really love the pastries but you must either eat them right away or put them in the refrigerator a little before consuming because the inside will liquify more. I did try their dubai bar and while it's tasty, I have had an even more tastier version at another pastry shop. Depending on if it's busy, parking can be a hassle as the parking lot can get filled quickly. I am definitely a repeat customer.

Service is great, and desserts are delicate and great flavor without being overly sweet, you'll definitely need some coffee or tea so sit tight and order some with your pastry.

They offer an array of delicacies to choose from. They have a multitude of sweet treats to pick from and the knife sold by the jar if you want to bypass the chocolate part. The folks working behind the counter are efficient and friendly and help explain what everything is if you're not familiar with the multitude of middle eastern desserts. They also offer Gelato which i didn't try and will be checking out when I inevitably return for my dubai chocolate fix. All and all these place is great and you should visit if you are looking for Dubai chocolate and additional sweet treats!
I heard about this bakery on TikTok, it's super popular, and the reviews are amazing. They have a huge variety of desserts, and everything looks absolutely stunning. I came here specifically to try the chocolate-covered strawberries and the kunafa "Dubai style." The place itself is very cute, and the staff were incredibly kind and polite, that really added to the experience. The only downside for me was the chocolate-covered strawberries. They keep pre-cut strawberries in cups, and I think I got one that wasn't fresh. I attached a photo, you can't really see it under the chocolate, but you know the taste of strawberries that aren't fresh. That was a letdown. Overall, it's a charming bakery with a huge selection of desserts, wonderful staff, and beautiful presentation. I just wish the strawberries had been fresher

When I first walked in, I was impressed with the looks of the pastries - there's a lot to look at. I wanted to sample most everything. A woman helped me with what I came for; namely, the Dubai Chocolates. I asked a lot of questions. The chocolate was fabulous - note that it is refrigerated so if you want to take it home, it needs to be kept in the fridge until you're ready to enjoy it. Note that they also have a "sugar free" Dubai Chocolate but she didn't know the calorie savings - but I guess if you're coming to this place, you shouldn't be a calorie counter. Also tried the Dubai Chocolate Gelato - the best gelato that I've ever had! Note that this place is a drive for me, but I will be back with my wife who loves gelato (and chocolate). What is most impressive and surprising to me is that they make all the chocolates - they make everything here. Check out their website especially if you want a nice cake.

This time I tried the mango and strawberry mousse desserts and I also got a scoop of the Arabic ice cream. The mango and strawberry mousses were super cute. The white chocolate coating was very well decorated as I've seen on tiktok. The mousse itself was light and airy and they tasted like their respective fruit flavors. They also had a fruit jelly in the middle of each dessert that was very sweet. The combination of the white chocolate, mousse, and fruit jelly was much too sweet for me so I could only take a few bites. (6/10) I would definitely recommend getting these to share. Also keep in mind that because these are popular that the price is relatively steep. The Arabic ice cream was a super unique flavor. It was like a creamy floral pistachio flavor. I loved how subtly sweet it was. (7.5/10) I also got to sample the biscoff flavor they had and that was really good as well. The inside is decorated nicely and there are a few tables in there to eat as well. There is such a wide variety of sweets so there is something for everyone and the staff were all very kind. I would definitely come back for more ice cream or to try the strawberry dubai chocolate cup.

My husband stopped by this place last weekend after being told they had great Middle Eastern desserts(BY ME) the same as our former favorite place that has temporarily closed down. I was told these owners bought that place and are remodeling, I won't mention the name , but I spoke to a man last weekend who told me it was indeed true, but they were still remodeling. He said give it another month or so. I said OK, we will try you all out. OMG!! The date Maamoul was out of this world!! The other desserts were very good! I don't EVEN CARE if that other place reopens because the Maamoul ALONE was worth switching loyalty! I will include pictures of everything my husband bought that day. The only caveat is my husband said it was a beautiful cafe( you're going to pay for that) and everything came up to about $27 he said, a little pricey, but that Maamoul literally brought tears to my eyes! read more

I tried the mango and raspberry dessert, and unfortunately both were disappointing. The mousse inside was partially melted and the outer shell was extremely thick, so when I bit into it, it just fell apart and made a mess. There was barely any fruit filling inside, which made it feel underwhelming overall. I also asked about the flavor of the mushroom-shaped dessert, and the employee behind the counter didn't know. He had to ask someone else, and when he came back to answer me, he spoke so quietly I still couldn't understand what he said. I've heard of Suzie's for a long time now so I decided to check it. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and this place was PACKED. The line was outside. I've been wanting to try the Dubai chocolate for the longest time so I got a bar of the Dubai dark chocolate and a mango fruit dessert. Both desserts were phenomenal. I've never tasted anything like the mango fruit dessert. Def my favorite. *Warning* The fruit desserts are $14. I thought it was expensive for the size of it but again, the flavor was amazing. This place was like walking into a candy store. There were so many different pastries, ice cream, Mediterranean desserts, and even the viral fruit shaped desserts. If you have a sweet tooth this is the place you want to be especially if you like Dubai chocolate. They have a variety of different Dubai chocolates. I got the mushroom shaped dessert which was basically a red velvet cake, sugar free Dubai chocolate which tasted similar just without all the sugar, and the smores Dubai chocolate and that one was the highlight-had graham cracker, marshmallow fluff, and the pistachio filling all encompassed by the chocolate shell. The lady was helpful in recommendations as well. The ambiance was like I said like walking into a candy store. read more
It's pistachio heaven! I was here for the dubai chocolate bars, and ended up leaving with baklava and a cup of chocolate covered strawberry also. Everything is so good! I love pistachios and they had quite a selection of pistachio goods as well as other sweets. The shop is very well organized. There are some tables where you can sit down in eat in store. I was there on a Saturday so they were busy, but service was very fast! I'll definitely be back for more. read more

Been here previously for chocolate and cakes because they have a big variety but came for the Dubai Strawberries! So very delicious, real chocolate! So soft silky smooth when you first receive it fresh. Ate some, had leftover- took it home. If you're craving baklava, there's probably no better place for the selection and variety than Suzie's. I first discovered Suzie's after finishing a meal at restaurant Al Aseel, which is a couple doors down in the same strip center. When I first walked in, I was impressed with how many different types of baklava they had on display. The baklava is sold by the pound. The top shelf is sugar free and costs $21.99/pound and the bottom shelf is $19.99/ pound. You can mix and match and get different kinds which include pistachio, walnut, and cashew. They also sell cakes and Dubai chocolate. This time i ordered a few different baklava, including my favorite with walnut, a pistachio and cream cake, and a Dubai chocolate ($7.50). I recommend trying Dubai chocolate if you haven't tried before. It has a chocolate shell with some kind of cream inside. I liked it! The staff are very friendly and patient in answering our questions. There are a couple of small tables inside to eat at, but most people just order to-go. I was surprised mid-afternoon on a weekday there was a steady flow of customers, but the line moves pretty quickly. The parking lot is kind of small, but I've never had issues finding a space. I highly recommend Suzie's. read more
it was really hard to choose what to get from this pastry shop! it is wrapped around with all kinds of desserts- cultural and trending. the staff was very fast to assist. there is indoor seating but no public restrooms. nice parking lot for easy access. overall really enjoyed the sweets i got (the dubai choco brownie and chocolate mouse mousse). very dense and rich in flavor, and satisfied my sweet tooth :) read more
I came here with a friend for the viral Dubai chocolate and strawberry cup it was eeeeverything. The ingredients were so fresh. Especially the strawberries. It was only $16 so it was definitely a reasonable price. They had a lot of other delicious treats plus gelato. I asked to meet Suzy. Came here with one intent - to try the Dubai chocolate bar and the strawberry cup. I've had the chocolate bar a few different places and this one is by far the best. The milk chocolate was really good. We asked for thinner piece so that the pistachio filling wasn't overbearing and glad we did (they kept pushing us to get the thicker bar and to grab two, but had to kindly tell them we only wanted 1). The strawberry cup was made fresh. The cup was about $15 (honestly not that much strawberry in there but delicious) and the bar was about $7-8. It is definitely on the pricey side but worth a try! read more

The area is pretty packed and with minimal parking, so just fyi! I came here specifically for their version of the viral Dubai chocolate. As I walked in, I was beyond surprised at how many desserts they had! The chocolates are a bit pricey, but honestly, it's expected for how delicious they were. I tried both the milk & the dark chocolate versions of it, and omg I love the satisfying crunch in them plus the flavor! I'll most definitely be back to get more along with try the other pastries/desserts that they have! read more
Suzie's is always my go to when I'm craving dubai chocolate. It is a 50 minute drive from me but it's so worth it. All of the staff are so welcoming and friendly. The shop has quick service and even when the line was long the shop was big enough to fit all of the customers comfortably. It is always super clean inside. read more

Very huge bakery with many selections of treats to choose from. All the ladies working there were extremely helpful and friendly. It was clean inside and organized as well. I got the fruit mousse desserts and even tried the baklava as a sample. The sweets were sooo delicious that I went back the following day. And I'll definitely go back when visiting Htown. I even enjoyed the vibe of that area as well. read more

We decided to try the viral fruit pastries found on Tik Tok. They had a special. Buy 5 get 1 free. They were $14 each which is comparable to other places. The woman helping us was nice but seemed irritated when we didn't want anything else. I even tipped! We took them to go. The place was small but cute and very clean. We were really happy with the flavors! We got banana, mango, strawberry, lemon, the mushroom, and tiramisu. All of them were delicious! They all had a mouse filling and some type of other fillings. Loved the place, clean and friendly service! But not worth the hype in my opinion. I got the strawberries and chocolate and a mango pastry. I paid $31 for both. My strawberries were room temperature and the chocolate tasted like Nutella . The mango $14 pastry was a very sweet mousse with some artificial mango flavoring, covered in white chocolate as the mango shell, nothing special or flavorful as I expected. I'd probably be back to try some other pastries, but not the TikTok famous ones bring some water to wash down the sweetness read more
This place is a piece of heaven on Earth! I don't even know where to start my review because everything was absolutely delicious! I love baklava but I could never find a place that did a decent baklava. Often it's over the top sweet and I cannot pass a second bite. NOT THIS PLACE! It is PERFECT! The Dubai chocolate is exactly like you would expect: original! The Turkish coffee impeccable with a light cardamom taste. The customer service was amazing and the prices very affordable! I'm very impressed! So much that I called my uncle in Brazil (he is a Lebanese descent and he can cook and bake) to tell him about my experience and share pictures! When he and my family come to visit, I am bringing everybody to visit this place!!! We will be back!!! I do hope they continue providing affordable, quality pastries with the high quality customer service that we experienced today! If I could I would give them 1000 stars!!! Every time I go to Houston I have to stop by and get the Lebanese style knefeh! It is the absolute best! I have tried to find a traditional knefeh across the US on my travels and truly nobody makes it in an authentic way! Yes Suzie does! If you are searching for one... here is the place for you! I have sampled baklava and many other things at this shop and everything is always fresh and delicious! The ladies behind the counter speak Arabic which makes me feel at home! The ambiance is just a pastry shop they have the pastry cases and tables for you to enjoy if you decide to eat there I will keep on going back to this bakery every time I go to Houston! read more
