I came in after breakfast, maybe even after lunch. The pastry cases seemed to be freshly stocked, but the savory foods in the sandwich cases looked pretty picked over and nearly empty. Everything looked stunning and delicious and Instagram worthy. I picked up a S'mores croissant that was pretty darned good. I wanted to try a couple more things, like the cronut and the savory pastries and sandwiches. But with the costs and calorie counts, I'm going to have to take these one at a time. The employees were quick and professional and friendly. They're not really involved until checkout. I mean, you pick your own food from any of the cases, then go to the coffee counter and cash register. Customer service can make or break a business and for Paris Baguette, it broke it. The associates stocking the pastry cases and the cashiers checking customers out, were snotty and unfriendly. Their attitude ruined my experience. The beauty of the cafe is spectacular. The mixture of black, white, glass and wood gives the dining room a contemporary and relaxing feeling. The sliding doors on the cases made it easy to open and select your sweet or savory treats. The mural of St Louis landmarks, gives the dining area a hometown feel. Best of all, it was all kept super clean. All the pastries, cakes, cookies and sandwiches were beautifully displayed. They all looked picture perfect, almost too pretty to eat. However, I did manage to eat and enjoy my selections. My croissant was flakey and buttery. It would be perfect for a future chicken salad sandwich. The Salted Butter Twist Roll, had the perfect hint of salt. It would be pricey for a cookout, but it would be a great bun for a hot dog. My Cinnamon Apple Pie was good, but could have used a tablespoon more on the apple filling. The Sticky Milk Buns, were the perfect accompaniment to a morning cup of black coffee. My issues with the employees is that they did not excuse themselves when pushing by you to fill cabinets and shelves. They just bumped you and pushed their way in. Then the cashier made minimal conversation and did not say thank-you for me giving Paris Baguette my business. I left thinking they need to retrain the young staff, or perhaps hire some retirees who understand customer service. After a full Father's Day -- Church in the morning, a Costco run in the afternoon, and dinner at Sugarfire BBQ on Olive -- we wrapped up the night the only way that made sense: dessert. We had noticed Paris Baguette on the way to Sugarfire and had been eyeing it ever since, so this was the perfect chance to finally check it out. Walking in, we were pleasantly surprised by how bright, clean, and inviting the place felt. It has that familiar Korean‑bakery style setup: grab a tray and liner at the entrance, browse the beautifully displayed pastries, then order coffee and specialty items at the counter. The line moved quickly, and the staff were friendly and efficient -- exactly what you want at the end of a long day. What We Tried * Cream cheese puffs -- Absolutely incredible. They reminded us of a michi but filled with a lightly sweetened cream cheese that hits the perfect balance. Easily the star of the night. * Chocolate ganache cake -- Rich, chocolatey, and definitely on the sweeter side. A great pick if you're craving something decadent. * NYC cheesecake -- A fun choice, especially with the Knicks winning the NBA Championship. Smooth, creamy, and classic. Overall Experience Great service, great selection, and great flavors. My wife, one year old and I visited here a couple weekends ago and can say this place lives up to the hype. The food was delicious and they have more than sweet options. Paris Baguette is in a great location and perfect to stop in for fuel before running errands. I'm excited there's now a few options in St. Louis of this self-serve French/Asian bakery concept. They had endless options to try from desserts to savory to breakfast sandwiches to sweet pastries. I tried the sugar donut, plain croissant, cinnamon apple pastry, and (not pictured) a Korean Milk Iced Coffee and an egg salad sandwich. While a cold sandwich may not be the first thing you'd think to try here, it was surprisingly impressive because it was served on their fresh soft baked bread slices. It was an extremely long line. The first Saturday morning, we saw the line wrapped around the building and gave up. The next Saturday we arrived earlier at 8:30 AM, and the line was still out the door but more doable. Once inside, the line moved slowly and it was very cramped due to the line location. It was tricky to browse all the pastries since the line was blocking most of the case in addition to the staff refilling cases in the same area. The service at checkout was friendly, but slow. It appeared the staff is still getting used to recognizing and ringing up all the different pastries types. Overall, I'm sure those service snags will get smoothed out as they are open longer, and I'm glad to have Paris Baguette as a new full service breakfast option. Paris Baguette has been around for a long time, even longer than Tous Les Jours, so I was really happy we finally have on in St. Louis. I went to their soft opening at 7:00am and was glad I got there early enough to avoid the long line. Since it was opening week things were a big chaotic. I think they need a better system. Maybe two lines: one to pick out pastries and another to pay for the pastries. Some people waited in line and didn't get to look at the other side because they were worried about losing their spot, while others got their pastries and then had to go back in line behind those who are still waiting to get pastries. It was a bit messy, but I guess that's what soft openings are for. Hopefully, they'll sort it out soon. Anyway, I bought about $70 worth of pastries and two cups of lattes: (total $90-ish). Everything was good as usual. I've always thought Paris Baguette has great flavors, while Tous Les Jours has great texture and chewiness. Paris Baguette has more savory items, while Tous Les Jours has more sweet. Both are balanced well. I can't say which one is better, but having both nearby is definitely a treat. Now all we need in St. Louis is a few HMART stores. :) read more

WOW! I've never seen a bakery quite like this where there's pastries everywhere. Pastries up top and below, pastries at the checkout, display cases, etc. is. I'd compare this to a candy store but the pastry edition. There's literally something for everyone. I browsed the menu prior to coming in so I'd at least have an idea of what I wanted. While I thought of getting a sandwich, that quickly changed once I saw the croissants. To start, get a tray and tongs and cover it with wax paper. Once you're finished with your selection, you'll pay at the register. I scoured each aisle, each time thinking I was getting something until I saw something else. I managed to pick up a pre-made chocolate chip cookie, since you know, I have a wicked sweet tooth. All in all, the croissant and cookie set me back $8.35. It's less than what I was expecting but fair for the price point. When I was checking out, the person next to me asked to get their pastry warmed, (which I was unaware you could do), but I quickly followed suit. The first few bites of my croissant exceeded my expectations. It was flaky yet soft and was pleasing to the taste. My only complaint is that I wish there was more chocolate on the inside instead of just the drizzle. Some tips if you're wanting to come here: -arrive early! The parking lot was almost full at 7:45 on a Saturday morning. I went for the soft opening and did anticipate the crowd but there was almost no parking spot left... I got the last one. The cashier was nice but there wasn't someone walking around and explain it to first time people. I think that would help. The line was long regardless though. There's decent amount of tables and chairs but it was so crowded I took the pastries to go. They have pastries, bread, sandwiches, cakes, drinks, etc. We got a variety of pastries and my husband wanted the grilled cheese (which they will warm up for you). TRY IT ALL!!! As someone who loves sweets, especially pastry style, this is my spot! This is a great place to go with the family, let everyone pick out their favorite, then have a shared tasting. Donuts, cakes, tarts, sweet breads (and a ton of other breads), cookies, waffles, and SO much more! You could go a few dozen times and always try something new. So happy to have another bakery franchise in STL! The first time I went around 4pm, a lot of the shelves were empty. They were working on stocking items but it was quite slow so many of the items were missing. I went this recent Saturday around 12pm and they had a lot more stuff, savory and sweet, but were very low on cakes as Father's Day was the next day. Every cashier I encountered was so nice and accommodating. Service was fast. Lots of tables to sit even when busy and they have a nice outdoor area. Parking lot is good too but gets quite packed. A lovely way to spend the afternoon. I stopped in for a quick lunch. Grab a tray, a piece of wax paper, and tongs and get in line. They offer beautiful displays of pasty and treats both sweet and savory. They have a small variety of prepared salad and sandwiches. They also offer a seasonal themed menu including sweet and savory items. The coffee bar offers just about anything you can think of in the way of coffee and tea. I added a chicken salad sandwich on multigrain bread and a palmier to my tray. I worked my way up to the counter to pay and ordered drinks. I added a strawberry mint lemonade to my order. The sandwich was absolutely delicious. Juicy chicken, crisp English cucumber, and a soft bread. The palmier rivals the ones in Europe. I also grabbed a few goodies to take home. They were met with rave reviews. The space is casually elegant with comfortable chairs and cozy tables. The noise level was pretty loud, but I was in during the lunch rush and the place was bustling. I found the team to be helpful and knowledgeable. The only note is that this place is located in a strip mall sharing a lot with several other businesses. My mother found this bakery, and I was entrapped. I love strawberry lemonade and the addition of mint was perfect. Delicious! I also got a loaf of cream bread which is also delicious (and I'm not a bread lover). The Pineapple Brûlée pastry and berry honey yogurt was a delicious breakfast. I enjoyed the fact that this was not overly sweet and filled me up for the morning. I also ordered a piece of Tiramisu cake which was good, but not blow me away good! Again I am partial to brownies not cake but it was better than most slices of cake I have had. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hours are great. Stopped in for a quick sweet treat and was happy I did. Bright, modern decor. The displays cases are easily accessible for self serving. Lots of beautiful pastries and delicious beverages to choose from. I selected a Pain au chocolate and while it was soft, flaky and buttery, I was disappointed that there were only two tiny bits of chocolate in the pastry (hence the 4 stars) . My iced hazelnut coffee was great! My daughter thought everything was pretty pricey, but I felt the prices matched the quality. This will be my new favorite weekend stop! read more

I'm used to Chicago's Paris Baguette, but I was really excited for this one since it's the first location in St. Louis. Went about a week after it opened and the hype was very real. Friends of mine waited around 20 minutes but I think I ended up waiting closer to 30 to 40. Just something to know going in, though I'm sure it'll die down once the newness wears off. I got a good mix of breads and pastries and also tried the basil lemonade which was really refreshing for a hot summer day. Prices are a bit higher than Tous Les Jours if you've been, but it's not too shocking for a korean bakery cafe like this. The interior is really nice and there's plenty of seating inside. Outside seating is pretty limited, only about 2 or 3 tables, but the indoor space makes up for it. Parking was easy. If you can, try to avoid peak hours. But even with the wait I was impressed by how efficiently they were running things and how frequently they were bringing out fresh pastries. I first tried the Paris Baguette in NYC and loved it. The local store did not disappoint. I had a Boursin cheese quiche and a double chocolate croissant. Both were delicious. I also had the strawberry lemonade with mint- very refreshing. I only regret that they didn't heat the quiche for me. I didn't know it was an option until I went through again for a take-out order. I am loving the Sticky Milk Buns and the Mint Strawberry Lemonade was interesting in a very satisfying way. I have enjoyed a few pastries from here and plan to try some more. So excited they opened up a location here especially because it's extremely hard to find almond croissants around STL. The pastries were phenomenal and so was their coffee. They use Lavazza coffee which is great quality. Highly recommend going early in the morning before 8 or during the week. There was no available tables which as expected due to the recent opening. The space lends itself to multiple sluggish bottlenecks while people stand around debating what to choose. Chaos behind the counter with tons of employees and yet an equal number of patrons standing, waiting for drinks. It's expensive, slow, and the trash was overflowing. Went today on mothers day and the place was slammed it was around 1:00pm and they wer out of about 40% of what was in display cases. You stand in line and pick what you want and then go to one of the three registers to pay. From start to finish was about a 30 minute wait. Food was good and the people were nice. Pastries are pretty good, but not cheap. If you're thinking of getting a coffee beverage, stick with regular coffee. We thought such a place would do specially prepared coffee well... but you'd be wrong. The wife and I each got a double espresso. Apparently the espresso chef was absent that day. We went back to the counter several times to inquire the status. We had long since finished our pastry when the double espressos were delivered. It was about the most expensive 2 ounces of liquid in a paper cup that we've had that day. Not horrible, but certainly nothing to write home about. Not the experience I was expecting. read more

I was very happy about my experience. First off we came at a very busy time in the morning on a Sunday and the service was great and we went through the line very fast. The food was spectacular and I don't think you can go wrong with anything in the menu. The place was very clean and nice. There was one bad thing which was that we ordered waters and they come out like a latte where you have to order and wait so we had to wait for our waters for around 10 minutes. We ordered the "Celebration Cake". The best part of the cake was the chocolate button with 'Paris Baguette' branding. The cake looked exactly like the photo on the website.The vanilla cake had no taste. All you could taste was the butter cream icing. A few peaks on top of the cake were pure butter. Visited for the first time the other day, got there at 6:20am. They opened at 6am. Workers were in our way still putting pastries out in the cases and so the selection was limited. Coffee was disappointing, I ended up throwing it away. Tasted like milk, did not taste any espresso.
