I cannot say more good things about sophia and her business. I came in to her only in February of this year, on my last straw with my skin, willing to try anything to fix it. I don't have severe acne, but it got to the point where I would be so self conscious a lot of days leaving the house was a task. Just a few months later my skin has done a complete 180 and I am so glad I came to her. She really takes her time to asses your skin on a personal basis and works her magic. I have done chemical peels, RF facials, red light therapy, and more. I also started using the brand she uses in the spa at home. I don't want even give one star. Bad conversation, different price over the photo and in the store. I made the appointment over the phone, I just said I need eyelash extension, and the girl over the phone asked whether it's my first time and I said yes , hen I asked the price, she said because you are first time here so $76 after discount . I lived not near and I took Uber here and the lady in the store told me only refill $75 and full set is $250-$300 . It's totally different with what I was told on the phone. She didn't admit it and she said she would suggest the girl to be clear to clients. I thought in this case, I spent much time here, I might try this time, so I suggest the lady add more eyelash than regular refill as compensation for misleading but she refused and just said sorry in a impatient way and she said she is busy and didn't have much time to waste. The session I had with PK is the best. He truly cares for the well being of the clients and uses the right technique to take care of the problem. He is not full time there. I got my lashes done here before my wedding. When I first looked in the mirror, I was nervous they were WAY too long. However, after I changed out of my gym clothes and put my hair down, I realized they were perfect. They looked truly amazing in my wedding photos (see picture) and felt completely natural. They stayed looking nice for 2.5 weeks until I came in to get them filled before my honeymoon. Sophia made them a little shorter for the honeymoon since I don't need quite as dramatic a look. The salon gives you $50 off for your first visit but it still isn't cheap. This is such a good spot to get eyelash extensions. My lashes feel so natural and light. They are a bit on the upper end with pricing, but to be honest, I would say that it makes sense since they are really good. They only use mink lashes, which is what helps your lashes look and feel more natural. I was really happy that I found this place because I was looking to get my lashes done last minute and I walked in and they took me in! I also needed to get my eyebrows done and you can tell they are considerate of other people's time. I still got them done because she noticed that she still had some more time. They make an effort to make sure they tell their clients if they are running late or if they can do last minute add-ons if they have time. I think it's good to know that they are aware of making sure they respect client's time. Service was phenomenal and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Eyelash perm So this process isn't for the faint of heart but they look great two weeks out. This was my first time having lash perm so I have nothing to compare it to but there was a lot of poking, burning and pressure applied to eye(lid). I have gotten eyelash extensions and I have fallen asleep during this process but for this one - no way. She did not use gloves but she did wash her hands before touching my eye. She did not set up all the equipment to use prior to the session, so there was a lot of getting up and down and the opening up of packages above me. I work in doctors offices so I understand sanitation. This should all be set up on one tray and products should be used in a one-time- use disposable container. I thought (and prayed) that this was happening but when I got up all I could see was dirty master plastic tubes of product. At this point I just didn't want to ask and I just wanted to get out of there. I was up-sold on a tint but she kept the tint product on for 3 mins and I don't see a difference in color on my before and afters. The overall energy in the room was ' rush' and not sure if I just got the apt at the wrong time of the day. For a service over 100$ and local competition, standards should be higher. I use yelp as my source for local services and just not sure how this was rated so high. read more

I just love this place. I have gone here consistently for about three years now and they definitely completely take care of you. My eyebrows are done by Sofia. I am part of different make-up boards online and every time I posts pics of my make-up my eyebrows ALWAYS overshadow my make-up with comments/compliments. THEY. ARE. FIERCE. Helena does my different types of facials when I can get them done and my face just glows for weeks with no breakouts. I have very sensitive skin so the products used keep my face in 100% great condition. The products used are my holy grail of skin care, though they are expensive for me, they are worth every penny because my skin is FA-BU-LOUS. I have adult acne from time to time, sensitive skin, and huge pores and the products keep it radiant. The conversations I have with these ladies is another aspect that keeps me coming around. They make you feel so relaxed and like you're old girlfriends. I have had times where they messed up on some order or an appointment yet they are ALWAYS obliging and accommodating and work extremely hard to make it up to me. The customer is very important to them! My only qualm is I can never find parking in Hoboken which is completely out of the salon's control. It's pretty small so definitely book ahead. Sophia is the sweetest!! She did beautiful work on my lashes before my wedding, and I would recommend her to anyone. First, I'll talk lashes. Lashes are expensive and take some getting used to, but you have to balance out the advantages. I was still getting compliments on mine when I went in for my three week refill, and Sophia said I had lost more than most of her costumers by a three week refill. So the biggest pros for me was the time not spent applying and removing mascara and they are super glamorous with or without any added make up (think, beach vacation). I probably will only get them for special occasions because I'm not rich, but I can't imagine how I would have looked on my wedding day without them because I was so emotional . I don't think they were meant to sustain the water works I put them through so my eyes were irritated the next day, but dealing with mascara and eye liner would have been IMPOSSIBLE. Now, Sophia. Not to out myself as a chronically late person, but I showed up for my second appointment 20 MINUTES late. I was prepared for an attitude and full of apologies and she didn't bat an eye lash about it and was just as sweet as ever. It made me feel so much more relaxed and I was so grateful. Lastly, the salon is so tranquil, clean, and cozy. My first visit they had a pot of turmeric tea available and I just walk into the room and I'm ready for a nap. The soft blankets and peaceful music but me right at ease. Some tips: - Time out your appointments and refills according to your big day or special event. I still had lashes a week after my first set was put on, but maybe because I wasn't familiar with caring the the lashes by that Saturday, I had lost many. Sophia was very accommodating about adjusting my appointment so I would have a full set on my wedding day. - Talk to Sophia about length and shape. If you plan on showing off fancy make up skills then have her cut them and shape them for you. :) - If you're a workout junkie make sure you get a hard workout before you go in and plan out your shower accordingly because you can't get them wet for 48 hours after they're applied to let the glue set. This rating is for their eyelash extension. I found it very difficult to rate this one, I mean, the eyelash was nice but I'd say it really wasn't worth the amount of money they charged. I came here for extension because it's the only place in the area, good rating on Yelp and they offered $50 for the first timer doing their full set eyelash extension. When I called to make an appointment for 2pm on Saturday afternoon, the girl took the call said they aren't free and asked me if I can make it another time. I couldn't and was just going to hang up, then she put me on hold for a while and then said they can make it. I suppose they just squeezed me in, which at the time I thought was fine. When I got there at 2pm, I had to wait for at least 30 minutes, so even though they squeezed me in, I still had to wait for 30 minutes.....what's the point!? The girl who did my eyelashes, I suppose it's Sofia, was very nice. She explained to me they have 2 different lashes and said she isn't trying to sell me anything, but one is clearly better than the other....and obviously more expensive as well. I thought I was going to have extension, I should just have a better quality one, so I chose the more expensive one based on her recommendation. Then I can choose between 75 or 100 lashes per eye, I chose 75. She was very quick, I think the whole process took about 40 minutes. I did like the eye lashes she put on, it was very nice. However, when the bill came, even with the $ 50 off, it was still $ 200+, that's before tips, including tips, I had to pay over $ 250...which I thought was very expensive for eyelashes. Having gone for a few different eyelash places, I think here is certainly overpriced. I think this place is ok, but I have found better. read more

I got a last minute facial appointment which was nice but the facial was okay not $250 worth for one hour. I got an arm massage no neck or head which would have been nice as most other facials I've had at that price offer. My skin unfortunately broke out into a rash and I have even more breakouts than when I went in for my facial.. which is why I was searching for a nice facial to help heal my skin. This place is such a gem. I've been getting my lashes done by Sofia for over a year now and she's a true genie because they look natural yet beautiful and my real lashes underneath are still strong and striving. Will only trust Sofia with my eyebrow waxing too. The spray tans are organic and, like their lash extensions, still seem to subtly enhance rather than look fake like most other places. Microdermabrasion facial really transformed my winter skin and will introduce you to natural products you never knew you were missing (but a lot of those products aren't for the frugal so this is more of a splurge). They have many services from eyelashes to spray tans, superb facials using all French products and many more fun treatments! They give the best microderm abrasion in the area! Bad service, arrogant staff, bad setting, very small space and dirty wash rooms! If it's your first time to this spa, I'd highly recommend checking the prices and all their services before you even make an appointment with them. It was my first time and my friend and I needed to book a spa last minute and we thought we could get there and check their services. We get there and they take us to our rooms right away without enquiring what is it that we were looking for or even showing us the list of services. Once in the room, I was explained their top 4 services only (while getting my cleanup) and I had to ask for the price and picked the least expensive given I thought those were the only 4 services. My friend was manipulated into getting a higher end service in spite of letting them know she wanted whatever I was getting done. We call them the next day to find out why they charged us different when we wanted the same service and the woman on the phone started shouting even before we explained our point. She wouldn't let us speak or explain anything to her. This was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. To top this, I was left with bad scars from my facial ! I first found out about this place on a groupon for microdermabrasion. I bought a package of three and since that first visit in September I can't count the number of times I've been here for facials, massages, and most importantly my lashes!!!! People are constantly and hesitantly asking me if their my real lashes because they look so gorgeous. The facials are incredible also, soft touch, low suave music and the beds are incredibly comfortable in the warmest rooms to make you so relaxed. Paris spa has also made me an avid waxer. I now come here for all waxing and couldn't be happier. It's the most painless waxing I've ever had and Sophia gets it right every time. I usually go to EC Beauty studio but I recently moved uptown and wanted to go somewhere closer to me. I was hesitant at first to get a facial other than the one that Michelle does for me at EC Beauty Studio, but Ania did a really good job with my skin and made me feel so much better about myself after I walked out. I recently went on vacation to Mexico and as you can imagine, the sun, traveling and unhealthy food, did plenty of damage to my skin. I asked her for a recommendation on which facial I should get and she advised that the Paris Purifying Facial would be best for the condition my skin was in. She spent 1.5 hours on my skin which was really refreshing and relaxing. Usually my facials last 45-60 minutes, but Ania didn't rush her process and spent a lot of time addressing my problem areas. She used a plethora of awesome smelling products on my face and explained what benefits the products bring. She gives a relaxing arm and hand massage while the creams/serums/and lotions are sinking into your pores. By the time I was finished with the facial I felt brand new. I will say that I do not think the equipment is as professional or advanced as the ones in EC Beauty Studio, but they get the job done.
