A very unique hotel with a remarkable amount of kitschy charm. My wife and I decided to stay within walking distance of the US Open Tennis tournament. Most of the nearby hotels were insanely inflated during the event, but this one not so much. The room was clean and well provisioned. The TV has plenty to watch during downtime, with hundreds of Internet based channels. The room had a nice sized shower and vintage sink. There was plenty of storage and a mini fridge. This is NY so expect the usual traffic noise going in. This entire hotel is filled with antiques and art of all kinds. The lobby alone is absolutely wild. The check-in counter is surrounded by a loaded aquarium. Statues and art of all kinds abound. As far as service goes, the host was very responsive. He hand delivered soft drinks to our room! The room ac worked perfectly. This is no corporate chain hotel, this is a unique experience for the traveler who does not want to stay at the same old boxy boring hotel. One of the worse customer service experiences I have ever had in a hotel. Overpriced room, very shabby. Staff were so rude. One staff member and customer were yelling obscenities at each other. They had housekeeping issues so when we checked in at night, we had to wait over an hour to get into our room. It was almost 1:00am before we were able to check in. We weren't told this until we had paid. I have contacted the hotel numerous times to try and get a discount. The manager is never around and when I call during the stated time to call him he isn't ever there. I assume I am being lied to. One review said there was a continental breakfast. They didn't offer that when we were there and not even a cup of coffee. Worse customer service. They acted like it was a privilege that they allowed us to stay there. read more

Extremely disappointed. While the hotel is esthetically pleasing, the credits stop there. They don't provide wash clothes. Our air conditioner wasn't working and when I called the front desk the tools me to push the power button. The problem with this is that the panel that holds the power button has a hole in it where the power button should be. We called again and the said they would send housekeeping up to take a look at it. 4 hours later we decided to leave. It was unbearably hot all night and we could stay another minute. read more

This hotel is the worst experience I can ever have. We book for a red jacuzzi room; nothing works, and when I ask the front desk, he told me to ask the housekeepers. Nothing works then water was coming from the floor above, and we have to move our belongings because it was floating. We ask to be a move to another room according to some of the workers, there were some rooms empty, but the guy at the front desk said that they were all booked, at the end they wanted us to thanked them for returning the money which they didn't even apologized very unprofessional and they don't care if you have to get out and find another place to stay please please don't waste you time going to this hotel unless you el want to ruin your night. read more

Absolutely disgusting room.... stains all over the furniture, stains on bedding, counter tops discoloured and dirty, no washcloths or hand towels in the bathroom. Flight cancelled at LaGuardia and only other choice of hotels near the airport were $350+... hidden fees to include a $50 deposit in case the room is damaged after you leave. I needed a place to stay for the night close enough to my own place that was easy & decent. We recalled this place, I walked into the lobby & what first comes to mind is WTF ? But in a good way kinda ? Reason I say this is simply because it is a small lobby area totally cluttered with statues every where !! On the floor , to the side on tables ? It's like someone just couldn't make up their mind about what the heck they wanted to add to the lobby so they just threw a bunch of random stuff together. Now the fish tank around the check in desk is cool to look at but way way too much the fish are huge which makes the tank look like it doesn't belong. The lobby alone is just overkill. Moving on , we got into the room & it was nice everything was good , nice & clean comfy room. Once u get settled u wanna relax for a bit maybe watch a little TV ? Nope not here no clue what was going on with the TV barely any channels showed & most were static ughh kinda a pain. Tried to get some ice no can do on your own, u need to ask in the front & they will bring it to u. I don't want to sound like I am putting the place down , in the end I settled for the 3 stars because it was reasonably price, convenient & very clean it served it's purpose. read more

Horrendous treatment by the young man behind the counter. Was told that I could not have three people in my room since the rooms were double occupancy. Overall I would say the hotel was just okay. However, considering the price, I didn't expect anything that great either. What we liked: The jacuzzi was great. It has doors that you can close completely, a nice shower system with water coming from practically any direction, a radio built in, mirrors and fairly big in size. Definitely adequate enough for two people. They left to pair of slippers which is a nice gesture. What we didn't like: The bed was not comfortable at all. It almost felt like sleeping on the floor. They gave us one of the first rooms on the second floor, so we could hear the doorbell going on and on every time someone walked inside. At 3:00am the people at the front desk were arguing with another hotel guest for entering his room. definitely the noisiest hotel i have stayed in. The tv remote did not work. Lucky for me I could control it with my phone if not that would have been annoying. They did not have cable. Just basic local channels. If I could stay here again, I probably wouldn't. read more

Very Pleasant Stay. I only stayed one night while on a quick trip. During the US Open, so most places close by, were price gauging. Very fairly price. I arrived early, and though they didn't have a room available, the very nice staff member, gave me my parking permit, showed me where to to, and gave me the quick walking directions to the Open. When I returned late that night, they had my key ready. Very nice staff during both interactions. Room was very clean and comfortable. Yeah, the decor is funky, but cool-funky. And clean! Will book this hotel in advance for my week long visit next year. read more

I was fooled by the pictures from the outside and lobby, I don't blame anyone for this other than blaming my self. I should of read the reviews before booking, here is my story. The reason why I booked in this hotel was because I love jacuzzies. So why not treat my self and wife, pictures looked nice and price was fair comparing to the quality I saw in the pictures. BTW, name of hotel is Paris and the theme is Chinese !!! How come ?. Anyways, we walked in and an Asian guy asked for identification and informed us that they would hold $100 incase if someone smokes. We said that's fine because non of us smoke. My wife started freaking out after I told her that there is a couple of dead big cats skins hanging on the walls, statues all over the hotel and the theme felt like a house of statues and spirits. We proceeded to the room and that's where we were disappointed, filthy, dirty, and Hidious. Dust all over, the bathroom was about 3ft x 6ft with no shower, the bed had small pieces of crumbs, they had a corner table looked like if they had a statue there or encase if you want to bring your own, the single chair was eww. The room smelled like s****t. And the reason why I paid more for this room was for the jacuzzi and can you imagine if I did not, where would the shower be? I had to shower in the room not the bathroom, I don't consider my experience a hotel experience with them, I think Paris hotel looks good from the outside, average hotel price, with a motel room. I paid $176 with taxes for a Hidious room, I just don't want anyone making the mistake I made and regret it after seeing their rooms. Thanks for reading. read more

I haven't been here since I was 20 years old with my fiancé who is now my wife of 15 years, together 17 years. I guess the owners and management have change through the years. It's a beautiful hotel from the inside, glamorous, ritzy and if cant afford to go to a super expensive hotel like the ones in the city then maybe this is the place for you. But, customer service was horrendous and my wife and I felt brushed off asking questions about their own place of business. $220 plus 100 dollar security deposit is really not worth it. I wanted to try out the jacuzzi for the first ever and that didn't work. The amenities in the jacuzzi shower don't even work and are broken and for the amount of money you pay breakfast is subpar. Getting out the jacuzzi is dangerous no steps to get out. Don't trip or you'll fall flat on your face and bust your head wide open on the marble floor. It's a nice floor though. If you look at the pictures online there are other rooms with fancy mirrors hanging from the ceiling and supposedly their are no rooms like that. We ended up getting the most expensive one. It was our 15 year anniversary and all we needed was the bed lol. I could have paid like 10 bucks for that. we originally were looking for Airbnb's in the area, supposedly they are illegal in NY. I'm not sure why? Political shit probably. But, Airbnb's are way more affordable and a better experience. I know because we host Airbnb at our own home in NC. So, if your looking for a romantic night with your lady. Steer clear of The Paris suites hotel in Corona, Queens. It's overpriced, unfriendly customer service, it oozes out an attitude of I don't want to be here when interacting with management. Come manage my Airbnb you'd be a lot happier ;). I'm booking Airbnb next time when I'm in and around this area. Legal or not! Not sure about the hotels surrounding this area but this hotel in particular is overall the worst I've ever stayed at. I was really looking forward to a great overall experience but, it wasn't. I feel checkout is a little to early. If you get a chance stay Airbnb or try another hotel. . If you're looking for a place to have a good time with your significant other, this is the place. Good service. However you have to make an extra $100 deposit, you'll get it back as long as you dont smoke or break something in your suite. 3 hrs for the Jacuzzi suite is $85. If we could give this place no stars... oh we would...... it was a summer morning, before the sun even made its appearance, me and my fellow French sisters wanted to throw a French gala with baguettes, macaroons, balloons, a lot of champagne, grey goose vodka, Eiffel Towers all over, have our tea set and our French music, it was going to be like a Gatsby French extravaganza and what better place to go to like Paris.... we were WRONG!!!! As we entered this beautiful dome full of statues, fish and marble floors we encountered this person who was at the front desk named MURPHY...... MURPHY was very disrespectful to us, we asked him we wanted the best room in house because we wanted nothing but the best we threw all the money we had on us which was more than the room cost but he THREW our money back like it was Monopoly money. We've never been to an establishment that doesn't want money we've been around for more than 500 years and never have we been disrespected, it may have been two years ago but we will never forget MURPHY and his stupid stapler!!! I took the hotel because I got stuck at LGA due to weather, I was exhausted, and hotels.com showed this as the closest hotel available for less than $200 that looked somewhat decent. This place surely is funky -- it looks like someone's fantasy of a belle epoque hotel, if that someone were a trophy hunter and aquarium enthusiast from Singapore. In contrast to some of the other reviews, my room was clean, it had an air conditioner that worked well, the bed was comfortable, shower was clean and strong and hot, plenty of channels on the cable TV, remote worked, no weird smells beyond typical over-deodorizing cleaning odors. The smoking deposit was odd, but only $50 for me. I did not have a jacuzzi room. It's right by a major road, so traffic noises are loud. If you want quiet, NYC is probably not the destination for you, and certainly not a room in this hotel on the highway side. The stone tile floor (no carpet) does not help deaden sounds. I turned the AC on and the traffic noise blended with the AC fan noise and I slept quite well. The neighborhood is OK, but perhaps not for strolling around at night. As another commenter has mentioned, the reasonable rates, funky decor and jacuzzi rooms are probably attractive to happy young couples and clients of certain working women. I left at 4AM to get back to LGA for my re-booked flight, and a lovely woman in a short skirt and halter top was leaving at the same time and tried to take my Uber -- when the driver told her I was the rider, she got out and apologized quite sweetly saying that someone was sending a car for her and she assumed this was her ride. She was a nice and friendly person, but if this sort of activity offends you, best go elsewhere. read more

Do yourself a favor and find another place to stay. This place is HORRIBLE. Don't be fooled by the pictures online. To start, the lobby and throughout halls had a TERRIBLE OLD STALE ODOR. I booked a 1 night stay in their so called Deluxe room. The room had no counter space in bathroom. There were no closets to hang clothes, just a couple of hooks behind the room door and the bathroom door. (Very Tacky). There was a buildup of dust on the wooden bed frame next to the mattress. The jacuzzi was entirely too close to the bed. They make you pay an extra $100 deposit. I guest that's so you don't steal anything. And just to ensure that, EVERYTHING IS GLUED DOWN, lamps telephones some of the Night stand draws etc. They tell you when you check in that there's no smoking in the rooms, and if they find out you smoked, they would keep your $100 deposit. That night I went out to an event and returned to the room about 1:30am. As soon as I stepped in the room I smelled cigarette smoke, and I don't smoke. So I know someone was in the room. I suspect they do that to unsuspecting guest to swindle them out of there deposit. I immediately called downstairs I notified the desk so they didn't charge me for that. Now let's get to the Parking situation, or should I say LACK of parking situation. There were less then 10 spots in the front of this hotel. When I got back to the room that night, i had to park on the street 3 blocks away. Trust me when I tell you, i will NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN. HORRENDOUS!!! My wife and I were looking for a nice hotel offering a whirlpool tub in the room to celebrate our 34th anniversary. The lobby looked nice, but things went downhill very quickly. The so called parking lot was full and we had to park partially in a driveway and pray that we did not have a ticket on our car windshield in the morning. When we get to the room and open the door of our no smoking room, we are overcome by the heavy smell of some sort of drugs that were smoked in the room. It was so bad that they disconnected the smoke detector. We were going out to eat, so we opened the windows and left the exhaust fan in the restroom running in the hope of eliminating the smell. When we returned the smell was bearable, but still unacceptable. We did not want to cause problems, so we didn't bother hotel management at this time. We then find out that they do not have ice machines accessible to the public, so we call the front desk for ice. Half an hour later I call again for the ice and it finally gets to us in another fifteen minutes. We now are observing the small, but usable whirlpool tub. It offers a remote for music, and massaging sprays all around the walls. All of which do not work. We ask about this and are told that the room does not include these amenities. By now we need more ice and the very same thing happens again. We wait for more than half an hour, we then call the front desk, and we receive the ice in about fifteen to twenty minutes. We now try the tub. We fill the tub, get in, but the water is not hot enough. When we try to let some water out to add hot water, we find that the water is not going down. We waited about half an hour to make sure that it is not just a slow drain, but it had not gone down. So again we call the front desk. This time we wait about forty five minutes, and again we have to call a second time to get someone up there. They finally realize that we are not happy and finally offer us another room. It is now after midnight and we our celebration is impossible to enjoy. They show my wife a similar room and it appears that this couple had similar issues. They had just left as well. The tub was still full of water, the room was a mess, and they told us to give them a half an hour to get the room ready. At this point we were both too tired to wait and felt that this room was not going to be any different. We just wanted to get our money back and go home. We expressed this to hotel management and they refused to issue a refund and told us to take it up with the hotel manager tomorrow. With that, we grabbed our belongings and left. This was by far the worst hotel experience that we have ever had. We went back to speak to the manager. At first he said that if we came to him as soon as we got to the room, he would have given us a full refund. Then he said that we were only entitled to a partial refund because we spent some time in the room. Then he again changed his story when we demanded a refund stating "we do not give refunds to anyone! Not even my mother would get a refund!" STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

From the outside this place reminded me of a mini Reno Nevada, when i walked in the lobby i thought i was in a poachers house.. fuckin zebra heads and crazy shit everywhere. The front desk has an aquarium with fish way too big to fit in there..they were looking at me like please, set us free or kill us..it was like putting a whale in a fish bowl. Any way i walk in my room and i swear i just found the real deal hot tub time machine.. tackiest hot tub i ever seen. Had like a million buttons on it. Took me forever to figure the damn thing out.. it was spewing water all over the floors, started playing Madonna songs and yelling at me..i thought any second either this thing is sending me back in time or its gonna send Attila the Hun with a spear flying out at me...shit was crazy.. so I finally figure out how the shit works and i fill it up to then notice a layer of some funky stuff floating on top..okkk lets skip the jacuzzi bath.. so i start looking around and i notice half the stuff in there is wrapped in plastic like at my Colombian friends moms house..i look through the drawers and find two extra pillows..awesome cos the bed is hard as a rock... i flip the pillow over and i find what appears to be a piece of a weave stuck to the pillow..gross.. lets put those back in the drawer. This seems to be a place pimps rent out to work their prostitutes..On the marble floor (which I'm assuming is so they can mop up cum easier) i notice a little puddle with another piece of red weave hair..yup this is for sure a prostitution safe haven.. the film in the tub, the hair, stained sheets.. i will never stay here again..when i slept. I didn't even use the covers and i wrapped my tshirt around the pillow. Grossest hotel ever, save your money and sleep in a dumpster instead cos its just as clean.. read more

This place is bizarre, so much so that when we pulled up, I immediately tried to find a different hotel to stay the night, but due to fact that all surrounding airports had cancelled all flights, there was nothing available. Please run in the other direction, do not stay here! The decor is creepy and gaudy, just bizarre. Then I was locked in the bathroom for half an hour, due to their already broken door handle and then was blamed for it by the staff. After the staff said that she could not do anything to get me out, and she had damaged the lock even more, she said I would have to break the lock. Then the owner this morning blames me for the entire incident and says that she will only give me a 10% discount. I told her that this was ridiculous, I made it clear that I would post a review, something I have never done. Please be warned, do not waste your time or money on this place. If I had a choice, I would have never stayed there. It is completely bizarre, strange, and they do not understand, the most basic concept of hospitality (the industry that they are in). I sincerely hope that no one else ever has to go through such an event as this. I hope this helps you make a different choice. read more

nice hotel. very affordable depending on your stay. the staff is very helpful to w.e you need ( gave me a menu to order food at 1 am lol ) got the room with the jacuzzi and had to be moved to a different room after it didnt work. only to go to the second room where the jacuzzi jets were TOO powerful...looked like it was a damn hose. overall nice hotel i wouldnt recommend the jacuzzi though but hey it was a good idea pros. nice, clean, affordable, cons, satellite tv ( so dont expect to find anything on ) jacuzzi read more
