It was a nice comfortable room with a cool view. It was much smaller than I expected but overall I was satisfied. The bed was soft, with fluffy pillows and clean. I opted to find my own parking which can be an excursion in itself but if you have patience and don't mean walking then go for it. This is a Chinese-owned hotel. The room I stayed in was petite, but did the job. Very clean and nice furniture. The shower was outdated though. Mini-fridge was a nice touch. The TV wasn't a smartTV and only had poor quality channels. The mattress sunk in as well. From my room, there was a view of Skyview Mall and the 7 subway train - which is very noisy. Unfortunately the room is not insulated well for sound, so you can hear everything going on outside the hotel: cars honking, airplanes, etc. Free breakfast from 6:30 to 10:00 AM was underwhelming. I liked the variety, but the quality wasn't great. They have congee with pickled veggies, waffles, boiled eggs, pastries, and pork baos. read more

It's been nearly a decade, but I remember when The Parc Hotel (纽约安侨酒店) was built and subsequently became the hot new thing in Flushing. It marked a new era of hospitality for this part of Queens, which along with the rest of the borough saw lots of hotels built in the same time span. Thanks, tourism. I've become acquainted with The Parc by virtue of their their rooftop (#1) and the restaurant downstairs (#2) but never stayed. Most New Yorkers know their surroundings, but never hotels. Now that I'm officially a visitor, I can also say I've been a hotel guest during my travels back to NYC. The location of the hotel is perfectly central to downtown Flushing. It's roughly two blocks to the subway, or about a 5 minute walk to public transit. There is loads of shopping across the street at The Shops of Skyview and an unbelievable amount of food options (#3). Since it's also on College Point Blvd, it's an ideal place for cab or rideshare pickup, and it's close enough to the highways where coming here from LGA wouldn't be an issue at all. The prices will vary, but I managed to stay here for between $130-150 a night. One will notice how small the lobby is and how the rooms are even smaller. (#4) Even in the short span of time that the place has been open, it's already showing some serious signs of wear and tear. The elevators are slow and may not always be working. And my room despite how they've tried to make it boutique and trendy, was underwhelming overall. I didn't love my bed or the fact it took a long time to get the room cooled. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest but manageable during my stay. There was a time when they would offer free breakfast. I had no such thing during my stay and was unimpressed with the options in the building. I was also informed that their gym was closed for renovation, so I wasn't able to utilize their fitness room. WiFi was there, but barely. Thankfully, I never had to spend much time in my room since I was enjoying the neighborhood so much. I thought the staff was nice, but they had to send me to different rooms because of either bed stains or the fact there was no desk for one of the Queen bed based rooms. I think they tried their best, but I feel like their hands are tied while the hotel breaks down. They're almost all fluent in Mandarin and English. I'm not sure I'd stay here again. Like many NY hotels, the location almost matters more than the amenities, but I wouldn't pay top dollar for this alone. However, if there was few options in the Flushing vicinity and I was desperate, I am sure I could make this work. Terrible. Priced aggressively to raise prices based on demand in the area. It was busy in Flushing for some reason this week. Every hotel was booked full. After staying there for a couple of nights I understand why they had rooms available when other hotels did not. Do not believe the photos that you see online. This place is one step above a roach motel. The shower was a walk in style. The water went all over the entire bathroom because the shower floor and drain were level with the rest of the floor. Little window in the room. Terrible view. Little TV in the room. No dresser. A barren room with a bed. Odd oversized curtains to cover the little window. Not bad. Stayed here since they had the cheapest rates for any hotel in NYC/Jersey at the time of my booking. The rooms are clean. I had a terrible experience at this hotel. My family and I just needed a few hours of sleep during a long layover. When we got to the room there was a dried blood splatter stain on the top sheet of my bed and when we tried to alert the front desk, there was no one there. This caused me to be very uncomfortable that night and in the nights following--after we checked out. There was also someone yelling while we were trying to sleep which lasted for more than 30 minutes. When I checked out the following morning and alerted the front desk about the blood, I was told that the manager would call me. It has now been almost four days and I have yet to receive a call. I do not recommend this hotel especially of you value comfort and basic customer service. read more

During the time I visited, the area was very busy (U.S. Open going on / Legend Serena William's last outing). I was in town to catch a couple Mets games (big fan of Starling Marte & Edwin Diaz ). The Parc hotel does provide a decent continental breakfast each morning that is included in your stay. In addition, the rooftop bar provides a great view of the skyline. Drinks are small & rather expensive - would be great if you were allowed to bring your own beverages up there, haha. Overall, the Parc Hotel is not an awful place to stay. Close to U.S. Open Stadium & Citi Field. Right next to a mall which includes Target, Nike & Adidas outlet, Marshall's, & more. Although rooms are pretty small, you will have everything you need. I've had a few extended stays at the Parc hotel over the last 2 years due to circumstance and kept returning! There are a lot of hotels in Flushing so here are my pros and cons: location, location, location - downtown flushing chinatown - next door to Sky mall to get stuff at Target, bakery, groceries and can park if need to if you have a car. Main Street and subway is $5 min walk. lots of restaurants, bakeries, family run stores, malls and grocery stores around. 10 min drive to Laguardia airport. Rooms were nice and clean, has TV, refrigerator and coffee maker, standard toiletries, safety deposit box. decent size for standard rooms. Shower had great pressure and got hot fast! If you upgrade room, can get a bit more space to walk around and lay out suitcases.. they also have a very nice queen suite that I stayed at. was like a studio and nice view! it is the only room with microwave too otherwise there is a microwave in the breakfast room on the 2nd floor. The free breakfast was decent. congee, carbs like pastries, bagels, breads etc...some. hot bao with beef or pork and boiled eggs. fruits are mix bag, orange, banana or apples. Staff were all professional, responsive and helpful. Some more friendly than others. Most are bilingual - there was a comment about front desk not speaking English. they do. most speak Mandarin and English. It is chinatown. During last visit this year,I bumped into a few managers and saw they were on top of stuff. they were aware I was in the room with a busted thermostat once they saw my bags and knew my room #. Had a really nice employee help me with moving my bags to my new room. oh shout out to that engineer who really tried to fix my thermostat! another shout out to a female front desk clerk who did not get dismayed when she was talking to me and another male came immediately in her face and started talking to her. She put her hand up to him and finished helping me. He realized I was there...a male thing?? lol also heard carpet cleaning on a daily basis of the main floor where I was. Housekeeping super helpful when I needed anything. within 15 mins of calling usually. I noticed upgrading to rooms at each visit which is good to see they are maintaining the rooms like bathroom fixtures. Did not check out gym or the rooftop bar but heard the bar up there has a great view! Cons for me or issues I noticed: parking challenges if you have a car. it is downtown flushing. either it is expensive to park - Parc Hotel does have parking below the building $30 or $40 a night, only has 6 spots maybe? and tight. if you can find street parking whooooo! TVs were all different like the direct tv link is not consistent. some tvs were better than others. as upgrading happened, one room had a Samsung and another one I stayed at had a Roku Tv. I definitely recommend upgrading to a larger tv size too. the lobby couch needs to be replaced! if they haven't noticed, there are some terrible rips on them now. the ADA bathrooms were challenging showering with not spraying all of the bathroom, the other barrier was like a rubber bump on the floor and that bump was getting old. It would be nice to have suitcase racks in the room. Otherwise, all good!! I would stay again if I need to be in NY. read more

Don't be deterred by the mixed reviews of Parc - this is a good hotel for the price you're paying! We were a little skeptical booking it because of all the reviews and also honestly, hasn't everyone been burned atleast once when booking a hotel in any part of NY? Surprisingly, the rooms looked exactly like the pictures! We booked the king room with a skyline view and weren't disappointed. From what I gather, the hotel had recently renovated so it was pretty up to date in terms of aesthetics. The room was clean, bed was comfy, and bathroom was good for a NY bathroom! I especially appreciated the proper shower water pressure which we all know can sometimes be on the dinkier side. We went out in the morning and came back to a freshly made bed and tidied room which is always nice. And yes, the rooms are small. Did you forget you were in NY? Geez. We originally booked through Expedia for one night but decided afterwards that we wanted to go a day early and called the hotel and they were super accommodating! Some others from our group came the day after and again were accommodated with an early check in which was very nice considering they had just driven a few solid hours to get there. Parking can be tricky in all of NY but luckily, there's a shopping center right down the street with a garage that you can park at for $25 a day which is a STEAL! You're also only 30 mins or so away from the city so it's not that far. Our only slight issues with the hotel were that like some others had said; the thermostat's are pretty finicky. When we checked in on Friday night, the room was pretty cold but that wasn't an issue considering we were jumping into bed to fall asleep rather quickly. Saturday though, with all the curtains up, the room got hot real quick and took forever to cool down. A downside to those beautiful giant windows with the sun beaming in lol. Again, not the biggest issue for us because we did spend a majority of the day outside however I can't imagine what it'll be like in summertime. I also do wish there was a mirror somewhere in the room aside from the bathroom to get ready! I made do with whatever I had but ladies, you'll want to carry a handheld mirror or something if staying and booking the king room. One of us had booked a queen room and there was a mirror in there at the desk so it seems like it's just a king room thing. There's also another bar attached to the hotel next to the lobby which is pretty cool! We grabbed a late night drink and the vibes were pretty on point with what we were looking for. Good music but still a chill atmosphere. Oh! Breakfast is also included with all stays. It's not the fanciest lol but there was coffee, tea, juice, cereals, some pastries, congee, & steamed buns. All in all, we all enjoyed our stay at the Parc and would probably book again! read more

Mixed experience. On the plus side, the staff was very friendly, they addressed a maintenance issue quickly, and the linens (sheets, duvet, towels) were very nice. They need to address: a really good thorough cleaning is needed (there were mold spots in our shower), fill in the missing grout in the shower tiles, install a shelf in the shower so you don't have to put soap and shampoo on the floor. The free breakfast was ok; not over the top but decent. All in all I feel like we paid too much for what we got. read more

I stayed here to attend concert at Citi-Field. It was about a 13-14 min walk which is good for Citi-Field. Wasn't that sketchy, didn't get nervous and felt safe. Hotel is smaller, small lobby, long elevators and very small rooms (typical for NYC) Roof top bar is open late. Nothing to eat near here except really Korean food. Apparently this frontdesk person, Tina, didn't learn a thing even after a complaint was filed against her. Perhaps it was the company that tolerated the behavior of her insulting a customer. On the day we checked out, Tina happened to work at the reception again. We went down and said "Hi, i would like to check out and have a receipt?" She refused to even say hi or acknowledged my presence or even looked at me. I stood around for a while, then she finally printed the receipt, still without saying a word or looking at me, and just left it on the counter. At which point, i told her "you needed to greet a customer when a customer greet you no matter what". Then she went into a confrontation mode and started insulting me and arguing with me again. At one point, she threw out some insult i didn't full catch. So i asked her to repeat that. I said "What did you say? Say it one more time" As i walked toward her and tried to take out a phone to record her behavior. She finally shut up, and we left. This person should not work in hospitality at all. And the failure of this company to train its staff and to correct their behavior is just the one-star they deserve. read more

Staying at a hotel in New York is so expensive but The Parc Hotel is cheaper option compared to other hotels. The Parc is located right in Flushing (China Town) so there's Chinese food everywhere within walking distance. A few blocks down from the hotel there's a subway (Train 7) that you can take to get around Manhattan. There's also a mall, Skyview, right next to the hotel which includes a Target, Best Buy, Uniqlo, Nike, and many more. This hotel also provides free wifi and complimentary breakfast! The Standard Room 4/5: This is the first hotel I've ever stayed at that had only one queen bed in a standard room. It's a small room in general, but it felt cozy so I liked it. The hotel room is very modern and bright because of the large windows. The bed, pillows, and towels were all pretty soft. I was so impressed with the quality of their hygiene products (shampoo, conditioner, etc). Customer Service 5/5: Fantastic. From when I checked in and out of the hotel, I was greeted at the lobby. Everyone was really kind and accommodated to my needs. Cleanliness 3/5: The hotel looked clean for the most part but I noticed that one of my towels had a hole in it and I saw some yellow/orange stains on some of the towels. I guess those stains are permanent? Free breakfast 4/5: Don't miss out on the complimentary breakfast. They have a mix of American and Chinese breakfast food. The hotel has a great location if you need to be in Flushing, NY as it is close to the airport. The parking is horrible...No street parking and about 6 spaces in their garage and they charge $25.00 per day. I was lucky to get a spot thankfully. The room was clean but very dark. They have a fridge, stove top and microwave in the room but no cooking pans or utensils. My key deactivated several times during my stay and I was on the top floor...which was extremely annoying and inconvenient. Each time I went to front desk, I was given a key without asking for my ID. Finally I said "don't you need to see my ID".That made me concerned for my safety if they will just give anyone a key! We must have had a handicap room as there was no lip in the shower and the water went EVERYWHERE and was very slippery. Plus.....They give you bath two towels! That is it! The best thing they have going for the hotel is the restaurant next to the hotel called the "Naked Crab". I went there two nights in a row for happy hour! read more

Not enough sleeping arrangements for the number of guests booked. We booked this hotel for the US Open. At the time of booking, we told the Hotel we had three people: one adult, a 16 year old, and a 12 year old. When we arrived at the hotel, they only had a room with a queen bed available. There was no pull out sofa or roll away bed available. Three people cannot fit in a queen bed. I went to the Target next door and purchased an inflatable mattress so the 12 year old would have a place to sleep on the floor. I asked the Hotel to refund the cost of the mattress ($70) from our bill. They refused. I would not recommend this Hotel. read more

Walking distance to Main Street and hundreds of restaurants and shops, and a longer walk/short drive to Citi Field, home of the Mets, and the National Tennis Center. The rooms are New York small, and maintenance is not the best. Parking is about a block away in the shopping center ($24/day), and there is a roof bar with great views of the Manhattan skyline. Prices vary by the day from around $110 to $150 per night. This is not high on my list of places to stay in Flushing, but it is adequate if you don't have a car, and roll in late at night without time to make other plans. read more

Stayed here when it first opened, had a very strong wood - new construction smell. We had a great view, we were on a high floor. Loved their shades. Size was decent, not very big, but it's NYC and for the promotional price, I couldnt complain. Furniture is minimalistic, which I like, but the desk and chair was not comfortable. The nespresso machine was a nice amenity. Free continental breakfast, but not many options. It was just juice, coffee and a few pastries at the time. It was a bit awkward since there would always be one staff member standing around, but not necessarily helping anyone. Staff was not very knowledgable, except for one particular lady that was in charge, but it was a grand opening, so it's understandable for them to be confused and some were being trained. We had some issues with extra charges, which were eventually fixed but took a couple of calls. read more

The King Room, I cannot Review bc I didn't stay in that Room but photos same theme but Bigger. Accomodations: Full. Breakfast Everyday on the Second Floor of The Hotel - continental-ish more for Chinese Guests and it is the same breakfast Everyday. Rooftop Bar: happy hour 7pm-9pm. Did not get up there to the roof bar because it was like 0 degrees in the NYC Burough of Queens and it was closed, but I'd have a fear of being swept off by a gust of wind if I had braved a look. Review that is personal so I'm the ONLY GUEST who can add this : I had moved to Queens and on the water after storm 1/18, I had to evacuate my residence and The Entire Staff helped me in my Emergency. If I could give the Parc Hotel zero stars, I would. While the staff is friendly, the good stops there. The rooms are dated and filthy. We found hairs on both the "clean" bed sheets and in the bath tub. Most unfortunately, our AC was broken. It was 80+ degrees in Flushing with high humidity and unacceptable. Though we brought it to the hotel's attention, it was not fixed twice. In addition, several other friends who had rooms here had similar issues. Finally, we had a terrible experience with the restaurant's rooftop hotel. The staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. I'd avoid this property at all costs. read more

Make sure you don't book through Reservationdesk.com. They did a bait and switch. We paid for 2 queens and got one. The front desk upgraded but we had to pay an extra $275 for the 3 nights. The room they gave us had lukewarm hot water, so they switched us down the hall. Unfortunately, we were on the 2nd floor opposite the breakfast & exercise rooms. Loud disco music came late into the nights from the club next door. They wash the sheets in highly perfumed detergent. Yuk. There was some smoke coming from somewhere through our vents and you can't open the window. Otherwise, the rooms were clean, staff was helpful. Water pressure was good. I made a reservation at the last minute the other night, and was fortunate enough to get a room. I called prior to arriving only to find that they only had a double twin bed available. I didn't even know hotels have twin beds anymore, and they seemed a lot smaller. Not a huge deal but unfortunately the heating in the room was off or broken, I set it as I got in and the temperature literally dropped overnight. Front desk was very oblivious and unhelpful. Terrible hotel! Our air conditioner was broken and the room temperature was like over 80 degrees. Felt like hell! It was so uncomfortable and we were sweating non-stop. The front desk staff wouldn't let us switch rooms. Instead, we were told to wait for one hour for the engineer to fix the AC system for the entire floor!?! Other hotel would just simply change the room right away. Why wait!?! After the fixing that night it was ok. It went broken again the following morning. Horrible! What made matters even worse, when checking out a hotel, another guest told us he switched rooms because the HVAC was broken. The room that he first got was our room! If the staff were professionals and honest that room should be on hold and they wouldn't have given us this very microwaved and oven-like room. Overall, super bad! read more
