Spirits, MD - Our Ambulance is ready to go!

    Spirits, MD

I found Spirits MD on Craigslist when I was looking for a bartender for my wedding at the Fireman's…read morePark Pavilion in Columbus, Wisconsin. This place allows any bartender or caterer you want and my fiance and I love beer and cocktails so we wanted to have an extra awesome bar with signature cocktails and our favorite beers and the idea of an ambulance "keeping our party alive" sounded just like the kind of quirky thing we wanted at our wedding. After asking Brendan (the owner/bartender) about a million questions which he ever-so-patiently and knowledgeably answered, we decided to go with Spirits MD over the other bartenders we talked to. Other bartenders wanted us to buy the booze, or get the ice, but Brendan had all of the details included at a reasonable price so we could just relax and enjoy the party. The week before the wedding my wedding planner and I decided to have the cocktail hour outside on the porch of the pavilion since the weather was suppose to be nice. Brendan was completely accommodating and set up a bar outside for the cocktail hour plus one inside for the reception. During the wedding, I hardly ever thought about the bar except for the fact that I got a drink right away when I needed it, and everyone seemed to be enjoying their beverages. Some of my friends even asked for Brendan for his card to have him at their parties. I highly recommend Spirits MD to all of my fellow brides who need a bartender!

As far as liquor and beer...for an entire wedding party they had this covered! Super friendly and professional, I couldn't believe it....they came prepared and helped also to clean up w/ the rest of the caterers. Good fun, good drinks, highly recommend for any wedding, or just a small event - the main thing is, they came prepared, which most catering companies who tend bar do not...

Nestled among a lively stretch of bars and restaurants, it has a fun atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in for a few hours. I stopped by during March Madness, and despite it being the middle of the day, the place was buzzing with fans watching the tournament. The bartender--who was the only one working at the time--did a phenomenal job keeping up with the crowd. While drinks occasionally took a little longer, she handled the rush with professionalism and a great attitude. One thing that really stood out was the bar itself; it's impressively long, possibly the biggest I've seen in a venue of this size. The food was exactly what you want from a sports bar: satisfying, flavorful, and the perfect complement to an afternoon of college basketball. I'd definitely stop back to watch another game.

Saw this place on the walk back to our car and stopped in for a couple drinks and some appetizers. We were very happy we did. We sat at the bar and it was fairly empty at the time, which was a Thursday around 1pm. The bar is so beautiful with all of the copper details. It feels very clean with an upscale look but doesn't feel like it's too fancy to stop in on a regular day. Our bartender was awesome and she was training a new person that day so she was happy when we chose some fun cocktails for the newbie to make. Our favorite was the Beet Marshall. Oh my gosh is this a delicious cocktail! Unique too! Very refreshing, light. And fantastic color! My partner tried the Rhubarb Negroni which was also very good but we both decided Beet Marshall was the winner! We had the fresh pork rinds for an appetizer, came out sizzlin and poppin! Yes!! We also had the Cajun dill curds they were really good, not too heavy with just enough seasoning. I think this place is a great spot to check out anytime! They had tvs at the bar so sports fans could see their favorite games while enjoying a drink and some food. The locals at the bar seemed like they knew everyone and that this was the place to gather.
