Exceptional Craftsmanship & Service! I never been to a cobbler before and this was my first time at Park Ave. I recently took two pairs of boots and I couldn't be happier with the results! Not only did they restore both pairs to look amazing, but they also expertly repaired my soles, giving my boots a new life for a very good cost. I stumbled upon this gem of a place on Yelp and Google while searching for something a little closer to home, and boy, am I glad I did! The glowing reviews immediately caught my attention (supporting small businesses all the way!), so I decided to swing by on a Saturday morning. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was greeted by the sweetest, most chill older gentleman named Nick, who was just the friendliest soul you could ever meet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He helped me with my service tickets and was so kind to take my two leather bags for cleaning, along with two others that needed some TLC--one with a stubborn stain and the other in need of a little repair magic. I needed a spot to fix a pair of boots my puppy decided to treat like a chew toy. Luckily, it was just strap on the boot plus a buckle. I also brought another pair of boots to have the heel replaced and rubber sole added (over the original leather). The gentleman (assuming owner) was so so so nice. He shared his thoughts about what he could do and found a way to fix my fave pair of boots. I picked them up in 2 weeks just bc of my schedule. I was pleasantly surprised how well he matched rhe buckle and strap. Also happy with the other pair. Not cheap fixes but if you have a quality pair of shoes, spending a little more to maintain them is worth it. I would certainly go back. No credit cards so be prepared to bring cash or use an money transfer app to pay. read more

My UGGS were in rough shape with two massive size holes on both sides of the boot. I live in Chicago so the winters are very cold and I knew these boots still had some life left in them. I got them back so quickly and the patch work looks great! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for UGG repair, I shipped mine out and they came right back to my house in under 10 days. I don't understand the negative reviews. I have dropped off three pair of shoes in the past month (all pairs looking like they've been through a war btw) and after they've been repaired and cleaned at Park Ave Shoe Repair, they look brand new. Extremely reasonable prices considering the condition I brought these shoes in (booties, heels, and knee high boots.) highly recommend. I have never once come here and spoken badly about a local merchant. I firmly believe in using out local merchants. But, after a terrible experience with Park Avenue Shoe Repair, I am now making my first complaint. I have used them for years. First with the last owners and now with the current owners. I dropped off my daughters' sneakers 3 weeks ago, for lifts...she has a leg length discrepancy. I was told they would be ready in 1 week. They called me later that week to confirm what needed to be done. My husband went to pick them up today and they still aren't done. I called them and told them I needed them by the end of the day. She needs them. The man basically said, "Too bad" come get them, I'm not doing them. No apology, nothing. I can't believe a local merchant can be so arrogant and rude. Not telling anyone not to use them, just giving you a heads up. read more

Lovingly resurrected by hand, two pair of beloved Uggs from the 1980's including my big fur covered ones! I wish I could post a photo. They came back to me and looked BETTER than when I bought them. I live locally and have used many times for shoe reheeling, cleaning etc. I came in with 2 camel colored designer bags that were really stained. They look brand new and for fraction of what the big name place in Morristown wanted which was $350 per bag. They are also very nice so I don't get the reviews about alleged rudeness. The zipper on one of my riding boots separated so I brought them here to be repaired. I was so pleased with the way the zipper came out. I was worried because there was a little leather pull on the zipper of the boots originally. Since I was only replacing the zipper on one of the boots, I assumed I would have to cut the leather pull off the original to make them match. When I picked them up I realized, they actually created one and sewed it on to match the existing one. I was so pleased with the way they came out. Dropped off suede over the knee boots that were peeling and had a broken sole; got them back in two days looking brand new!

I sent in my Uggs to be repaired a few weeks ago - each boot had a large tear. The repaired boots came back to me looking outstanding!! The process to send them in was so easy - there is a form on the website to fill out and mail in with the boots. They fixed the tears and cleaned my boots. The nice lady there called me to let me know that my boots were on their way back to me. My Uggs look better than ever! Thank you so much! read more

I had some soap on a pair of gray uggs, and after reading the reviews i was excited to send my boots to Anna. They came back with holes in them! Anna tried to not send them back to us, and refund our money for cleaning. I requested to get them back, and upon discovering the additional damage- she claimed they came to her that way. I sent the other boot, which was perfect- no soap or anything, and this came back with holes as well. After many emails and phone conversations i have given up getting any money back or even compensation for the addition damage to the boots, i just do not want others to make the same mistake and trust them. Yes they are nice, but they did not take care of this customer- BEWARE read more

My daughter had a pair of Ugg boots that were brand new. We used the official Ugg water repellent product and she wore them one time and was outdoors too long and the boots got soaked. We tried to clean them with the official Ugg cleaner which only made it worse. I thought the boots were ruined. Sent them to Park Ave and they look brand new again. My OTHER daughter had a pair of Ugg boots which while she was wearing them she stopped ubruptly and her foot tore right through the shearling!! Not on the seam but in the side of the foot area. I was going to throw them out but decided to send them to Park Ave to see what they could do and was very pleased with the results. I have been here a total of 3 times in my life, all within the last 5 years. 2 of 3 times, now, I have had a major problem with customer service. The first time I was there, I dropped off a pair of boots and was told one price...then told another, higher price when I went to pick them up. I disputed the new price, since I was promised a lower one, and I was told I was mistaken. Of course I had lost the ticket and therefore my proof (since then they have put up, not one but, TWO signs to make sure you hang onto it). It was only after arguing with the woman who works there for a good 10 minutes that she eventually made a display of graciousness by charging me the price I was promised. Most recently, I was there today. Yesterday, I dropped off a pair of shoes that needed minor repairs; the elastic attached to the buckle was worn and needed to be replaced. The gentleman who helped me yesterday was wonderful and said that they would be able to rush the order and have them ready by the end of the business day today (6pm). When I went there today, at 5:20pm they were not ready, I had to wait about 20 minutes. Not a big deal. But when the guy came out with my shoes, I noticed that the strap across the toes on the right shoe was broken. I purposely inspected the shoes at the shop yesterday, in front of the gentleman behind the counter. I pointed out that the right shoe was frayed on the insole near the toe, in case they worried about it during the repair. But, boy, was I mistaken to think my inspection got me anywhere. The same woman flew out of the back room, after the older man and I went back and forth a few times about whether or not the damage was there before I dropped them off. Once again, the woman told me I was wrong. I insisted that the shoe was not like that when I dropped it off yesterday, and I expected it to be repaired. She again said they didn't do it, I probably didn't notice before. I told her I inspected the shoe yesterday when I dropped it off, explaining about the fraying I saw. Still she insisted I was wrong. I told her about my past experience at that shop, and she literally laughed in my face. She conceded that they would fix it, as long as I understood they didn't do the damage...at which point I yanked my shoes from her hands and told her I would be going someplace else. I'm sorry to hurt any small business, especially since the gentleman who was there yesterday was so helpful. But the older man, and especially the woman, essentially stole my money and broke my shoe. I will never return, and I hope other unsuspecting customers will benefit from my experience. read more

I just picked up a pair of Uggs that I thought were trashed. I had spilled cooking grease all over one and assumed they were done for. Park Ave Shoe Repair treated the suede 3 times with cleaner over a week period and to my surprise they came out BEAUTIFULLY! They also cleaned and freshened the inside sheepskin.
