Here in Pittsburgh, we have an old church-turned-bar/concert venue called Altar that is located in the Strip District section of the city. Altar does not serve food, but out front during an event, you'll often find a hot dog cart operated by a guy/gal tandem. Sometime last year, I went to Altar for the first time, and needing to stave off hunger pangs, decided to get a frank or 2 before entering Altar. In doing so, I tasted the most daringly different damn dog ever. After chatting with the vendor, I found out where they originated from and located a website later that evening at home. Here I was thinking at first that perhaps the vendors made the dogs themselves or got them from a local butcher. That's how perfect they are. "Serve the curve" for darn sure. Hell, they're way ahead of it. Tie me up with a rope made of these linked franks anyday so I can eat my way out of my bonds like an escape artist/competitive eater hybrid. Then repeat.

The store was thoughtfully laid out for coronavirus. I was surprised how much they have! A little donut shop made the place smell amazing. They also had a small cafe, making items to order, as well as ready made items such as pizza and sandwiches. The store is fairly large. I perused all the aisles. They have a ton of SPICY snacks. That must be what the clientele enjoys here. They had some taquitos on the warmer, which is what my friend got. She also got a bag of gardettos. At the cafe, you order on the computer and take your slip to the register to pay. I grabbed some habanero ranch chips, beef jerky and some guac and chips on the way to the register. I paid at the register and it wasn't long before my buffalo chicken wrap was ready. The wrap was toasty! I enjoyed it. I was thankful they packed napkins in there for me.
