My elderly father was seen multiple times at Park Ave Smiles in Yonkers for denture fittings and impressions. After all that, they told us they could no longer see him there and forced us to go to their Bronx location. The Bronx office was hot, poorly ventilated, and unsafe for my father who can not tolerate heat and nearly passed out. Even worse, the Bronx location had no record of his previous treatment and told us he had to start all over. This shows a complete lack of professionalism, care, and coordination. The experience was traumatic for my father and extremely frustrating for me. I would not recommend this practice to anyone, especially not for elderly or vulnerable patients. read more

Probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I first had an appointment for April, called to just confirm the date and time and they lost the appointment. The next available was August and I was told I could call back to see any cancellations. Managed to get an earlier spot for July. 7 days out they text me to confirm the appointment, I accept. 10 minutes later I get another message that I need to reschedule and to call the office. I call and the receptionist was beyond impossible. She refused to reschedule without an insurance member number, meanwhile, she made this appointment without it. I have a new insurance so just waiting on my company to provide it. I was transferred to some manager, no answer. I call back, goes to some call center and they no longer have the appointment. Transfer to the front desk no answer. I called back multiple times and was just ignored. This place is beyond terrible. The front desk needs some training on proper customer service because these are not challenging requests. Stay away if you actually want to go to dentist, this isn't the place. read more

After 3 hours I find out and they are all taken back no one called me. i will start by saying that the attitude from the people at the front desk is insensitive, offensive and inexcusable. if you don't like the customer service part work else where, secondly I've been coming to this office for a little over a year and the wait time is ridiculous. I had an appointment at 9 in the morning and they seemed to have double maybe even triple booked patients and everyone here aren't being seen to minimum an hour and half after there scheduled appointment. seems like they need a better system and people who know how to work the schedule better. I came in for an emergency visit (emergency hours are 8:45 AM - 9:45 AM). I was the first patient to arrive (8:30) and i filled out the paperwork, gave them my ID and insurance, and sat back down to wait in pain for over TWO HOURS. They advertise their emergency patients as being a first come first served basis, but i was literally the first one there, even before patients with appointments, yet about 7 patients were seen before me. I thought i was crazy and missed my name being called, so i went upstairs to check if they had called me yet, but the receptionist, who was in the middle of filing her own nails, said no and then asked me if i had submitted my paperwork, which i said i had submitted over an hour prior. When they did eventually call me, they did my X-Rays downstairs and then brought me upstairs to put me in an office, but not to my surprise, every office was full, so they sent me back downstairs. The lack of professionalism in this place is baffling and i will absolutely be seeking a different practice to come to. It's a shame that Westchester Smile Design doesn't take my current insurance, because they are easily the best practice in Yonkers. read more

They have improved some. More friendliness in a way. The front desk receptionists are still a bit rude for some reason but overall it was improvised in vibes and energy. They always have like 4 female receptionists there and at least 1 is super nice. You just have to get lucky I guess. I tried several times to give this place a chance, but in the end, it just wasn't for me. On my first ever appointment (key word here is "appointment"), I was waiting 90 minutes and when I went to complain, I was told that the one who does the X-Rays went to lunch and I was given a choice whether I wanted to wait an extra 45 more minutes or come back another day. Really, first impressions are important and this place blew it - but I was feeling generous and decided to give this place further chances. The picture I posted on here with the empty waiting room was from the first day - it was a totally crowded waiting room and it cleared out and I was the last one remaining where I continued to wait before I complained. I've been here 6 times and 4 out of 6, the wait time exceeded an hour. Why make appointments at all when you can't keep them? Whenever I've come there, the waiting room is packed. While I understand this place shares the same building with iSmile Orthodontics, I fail to see the excuse of making an appointment and for it to take as long as it does. I get it that circumstances often happens and I honestly don't mind the wait on occasion- but more than half the times I've been here, I'm waiting and waiting and the room is still crowded. The cleanings were rough, though the dentist who does it is knowledgeable. The one dentist I had - I can't remember her name - was nice, but unfortunately, she was off on some of the days I was scheduled and I had someone else who had no idea what I was coming in for. It seems like signals and whatever else are constantly crossed here. Most of the staff are decent and friendly enough (which is why 2 stars instead of 1), but there is obviously a scheduling problem here. I know that certain places will just take several appointments at the same hour and sort it out later, but it's not professional at all and shows the poor business model. As mentioned, this location shares the same space with an Orthodontics office - likely the same owner. It's a converted house in the middle of a residential area. Parking is fine if there is no alternate side, so make sure you read the signs. Coming in, you have to guess that you need to go up (or down) the steps as there is no one to greet you and no signs pointing to where you need to go. Afterwards, be prepared to sit in one of the uncomfortable seats in the large waiting area and wait. So this place could've had my business, but I just don't have the patience to wait over 60+ minutes past my scheduled appointment times. I've been to other dentists and have never experienced that. I logged back into my 3-year-old abandoned Yelp account which I only used to review food just to post a review for this dental clinic so you know its serious. RUN AWAY, do not even bother with this disgrace of a dental clinic. I have been going to this clinic for several years now, and every time I go, I leave with a sour taste in my mouth. Below I am going to highlight every single thing this clinic has put me through, along with the final straw that will cause me to never go back. 1) Years ago I started grinding my teeth because of stress. I tell the dentist, who proceeds to ask me what is the cause of this stress. I tell him I am in engineering. He clearly doesn't believe me, and he proceeds to ask me, "but isn't it full of men?" I was shocked by the blatant sexism. Excuse me, what? 2) This terrible, rude, nasty receptionist changed the time of my appointment without EVER GIVING ME A CALL. I arrived at the original time-which to her was 30 minutes late. She doesn't apologize for not calling-she just gives me attitude and lies to me about how the dentist had just left. After some hassle and heavy convincing, she begrudgingly gave me the tooth guard which I had permission to pick up (this is the appointment right after I dealt with that sexist dentist). 3) I had been having this gum pain so I went back years later. This dentist took one look at the x-ray and said "well, I don't see any issue"....except the problem was in my gums, not my teeth. So I proceed to ask him, "can you see gum issues on x-rays, like gingivitis?" He says, "no... actually." So somehow, me, who does not have a dental degree (instead I have an engineering degree-oh-wait-that's a lie because the field is full of men) was able to figure out that an x-ray was not going to show my gum problem. He actually listens to me, and he proceeds to prescribe me an oral antibacterial mouthwash because after taking a closer look at my gums (which one would think he would have done before me having to point it out to him-given that he is a dentist and all) he realizes that they were indeed swollen. 4) And now for the latest and last appointment that is causing me to write this review. I even stopped studying for my hydrology final to write this so you know that it's serious (I am now a grad student in engineering...OH WAIT sorry I forgot I AM LYING because its a field full of men). I had an appointment at 9 am. I did my duty, I arrived early, I was the first one to sign up. I WAS THERE FOR TWO HOURS, watching everyone who came in after me get their names called. I talked to the receptionist lady (not the one from above) about why this is happening. She kept giving me the run around, saying all these lies (you don't BS a BSer; I know when someone is BSing me) and that they were taking in people based on the issue they were having. WHAT?? So what is the point of scheduling me at 9 am if people scheduled at 10 am and 11 am are getting attended to before me? Reminder, it is finals season, and I do not have time to wait around for several hours, given that I had to wait for 2 months for this appointment. At this point I am literally crying, and I talked to her again. She says that she wants me to have an x-ray (even though the issue, once again, was in my GUMS). She claims that they started cleaning a room for me. A complete lie, since after the useless x-ray was taken, I had to wait another half an hour and several more patients were called. I complain, and finally, they call my name. I see the dentist from bullet 3, who is EXTREMELY surprised as to why they had me waiting for 2 HOURS. He looks at my gums again, invites another dentist to check them out. They both throw their hands up in the air and say that they don't know what the problem is. That took a total of 5 minutes. So the receptionists made me wait for 2 HOURS FOR A 5 MINUTE APPOINTMENT with useless dentists. The dentist refers me to a specialist. I go to the receptionist lady from bullet 2, the nasty one. I told her that the dentist did not understand why they had me waiting for two hours. She does not give a crap, gives a sarcastic sorry. Now, why did they make me wait for so long? I have one word-RACISM. Trust me, I NEVER, EVER pull the race card because most of the time it really isn't about race (plus its sooo cheesy). Except, the only other person that was waiting for as long as I was, and was getting visibly frustrated...was also black. If you are latino (which ironically I am, but I'm mixed), or white or any other race that isn't black, receptionists treat you extremely well and I am a witness to it. Receptionist from bullet 2 looks at me with aversion, and I have been nothing but cordial. So yes, this dental clinic is full of SEXISM, RACISM (could be coincidence), and dentists who clearly bought their degrees off the dark web. And those instances I described were 4/6 times I went to this clinic. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Good riddance. read more

I went here recently and It wasn't so bad. Alot of patients and workers moving around a small office doing their job. My experience was ok. I did feel uncomfortable when I had x-ray of the teeth done a weird plastic SD card looking with a metal looking weird shaped bar was placed in my mouth. IT WAS TERRIBLY uncomfortable but it got done other then that, I was told I needed alot of work done. Any way my advice it's all on vibes. I've been coming to Park Avenue Smiles for years. Dr. Amir Sadighpour is by far my favorite Dentist. He is truly AMAZING! And now the only Dentist I will see. You can tell he cares and looks out for his patients. I also appreciate how he takes the time to explain to you what he is doing and is willing to work with your insurance. He's very honest on what you need to do rather than racking up your bill. I totally recommend going to see Dr. Amir! P.S. Went there with Chipped tooth plus pain in upper jaw. They took Mouth pictures and doctor was very careless and cold towards my pain and concerns and told me that I needed two root canal and to call my insurance so that they can find a specialist for me someplace else. I went there thinking that that dental office had an oral surgeon but I guess not for me, and he sent me out the office without further explanation, I was never rude or rushy and that's what I got, even the receptionist offer little help. Even after I said my tongue was hurting by getting scraped by chipped tooth, the doctor didn't care to alleviate the pain with simple filing or grinding down the pointy sharp edge of the tooth. Long story short, the way times are not exaggerated by any of the reviewers by any means, they're really horrible and I'm usually tolerable of this stuff. The dentists there are great but waiting 3 hours or more just to see one is absolutely ridiculous. I had an appointment scheduled at 10:00 am, got there EARLY and it was already packed to the brim. Fast forward to 1:00pm and I still hadn't seen anyone, by that point I just left. This wasn't the first time I had been waiting that long either. I had my Invisalign process with Dr. Farzin. I was supposed to have the trays from anywhere between 26-52 weeks. He was able to speed up the process so that I only had to wear the trays for 13 weeks. My last appointment was at 1130, i waited 2 hours and was about to pass out from hunger by the time i left after 2pm. For My follow up i decided i needed a first appoinment of the day. Dr. Habib and his staff are awesome. I have been through a few dentists and Dr. Habib by far is the best. His prices are far more reasonable than most. He takes pride in his work and is very gentle handed. Sometimes you may have to wait, (I think the longest I ever waited was 30 minutes) and when you do see him, he gives you the same undivided attention he did for the patient before.He wants to make sure you are happy with his work.The office sometimes looks full but they have multiple dentist working at the same time. I highly recommend not to go here. When I got there they didn't have me on the schedule after the fact that I made it. They then told me they could fit me in. Waited 3 hours for a cleaning! Forget asking why. I would just come back another day if that was the case. They also took an imprint for a guard. Came back to get it and a half hour after I was there waiting they said they lost it. The only good thing they did was give me a refund. Several visits to this business only because I like the dentist (Dr, Farzin) but today I've reached my limit, the lack of professionalism was at an all time high! 1. Non-staff (friend) behind desk during my check-in discussing his dislike of women that enhance their looks with makeup and hair extensions, flirting (with 1 of 2) of the staff members, and inquiring about how a friend/family member "Can get a job here" while phones were ringing and patients were waiting. 2. Staff arguing over whether the office policy should allow 30 or 60 minute lunch breaks and/or if they should order takeout or go to Chiptole (at front desk)....while patients waiting. 3. Hygienist that reek of cigarette smoke. 4. Hygienist leaving for lunch break at 2:11 without cleaning exam room (after being instructed not to clock out until 2:30). 5. From exam room to x-ray, back to exam room then back to x-ray because ancillary didn't obtain film to doctors satisfaction. 6. Ancillary staff asked to precept new employee, staff member replies "I ain't training nobody, shit; I'll go home first". As a patient I should be unaware of your office dynamics (or lack thereof). When the doctor came in he didn't even introduce himself so if you asked me what Doctor I saw, I really couldn't tell you. As far as the exams mine was completely rushed and my teeth are throbbing from just a simple cleaning. I had braces for 6 years and they never felt this sore. Both myself and my husband have been coming here for Invisalign treatments. While it is a little out of the way for us, the trips have been well worth it. We have always had our appointment times honored with little to no wait, the staff is always professional and the facilities are always clean. This place is always super busy but it never really feels like it. We are at the end of our treatments and are pleased with the final results. Dr. Habib is a great dentist I just feel that the waits are way too long everytime you go there. If you have an appointment for 12pm the longest you should be waiting to see the dentist is 15 minutes because at any normal functioning practice if you don't show after 15 minutes and don't call to cancel they would bill you. Going to the dentist here is like working a part time job cause you have to wait from 1 to 5 hours everytime they should let the visit be free if you have to wait that long. read more
