Finally decied to stop going in after deciding to bring my son and I to get haircuts. Went to pay before he received his and they changed the price from $17 to $20 even though their sign had the original pricing (18% increase). I walked out of there. The wife brings him in another day and they both "lined" his bangs up visibly crooked as well as putting a gash in his head. Mia Cut my hair. Did a fantastic job. Found myself a new barber in the area. Went to my normal guy that I'd go to but his shop was closed Sundays and Wednesdays and I really wanted and needed a haircut bad. Usually he was Sundays only closed but now Wednesdays too. So at this new shop I found: Mia is Tuesday-Saturday. 9:30Am-7Pm. She did an awesome job. Very nice, respectful and funny. I think I will go to this barber shop and to her now. Especially since she did not shave my widows peak away. The other barber shop barber would do that even when I asked him not to. I didn't know if he didn't understand or didn't care and he hated widow peaks. But anyways now I don't have to deal with that issues anymore cuz I found a new shop and a new barber/stylist -Mia. I've been here a few times now and usually have gotten great cuts. This most recent experience did not follow suit. While the quality of the cut was not terrible (although she didn't ask on top length and just started cutting), she was VERY rushed as if she had somewhere to be immediately after my cut. I was the only person in there so it wasn't like they were swamped busy. After I left, I noticed the sides were uneven and she didn't really trim around the ears. I went back in and asked her to fix. She seemed annoyed/disgusted and just claimed "she already did that" while rushing through again. Hit or miss with this place, if you go, don't go in the evening I guess. read more

All three give a SUPERB level of service! If you want to chat, they will chat with you. If you prefer to sit quietly, they'll roll with that too. Some idiot named Dave M. with a review dtd 6/5/18 makes some trashy insulting comments about the place and the barbers. They are NOT Koreans. All three are from Vietnam and made it here under desperate dangerous conditions. He also made an inappropriate reference about massages. What a prick! I had some time to kill, and I saw a sign for a barbershop so I stopped in there. It's a very underwhelming place. No frills. It's kind of run down looking. When I got there three Asian women were giving haircuts to overweight middle-aged white men. As part of the experience, the women also give a head massage and a shoulder rub. I was about to suggest that these men just go all the way and get an Asian massage, but the ladies give very good haircuts. I was fortunate that it was my turn when the prettiest lady was available. Her English was not so good, but she was able to understand what I wanted because I received one of the best haircuts I ever had. The head massage wasn't as good as those administered by my wife, but hey, it was ok. I don't know if they give good hairstyles to women. But they give a great men's haircut. read more

Terrific experience! Since shops are still closed in Northern Virginia, I drove an hour to Fredericksburg to get a much needed haircut. While the shop requests you make an appointment at this time, they got me in when an appointment was ghosted. Not only was it a terrific haircut, it was one of the fastest I have ever received. Minimal contact in light of the Covid precautions and totally professional with use of masks, gloves and face shields and apparent sterilization of equipment throughout the shop. My hair is fairly difficult to cut and if done improperly, I end up looking like a hedgehog. For this reason, I avoid any of the chain places unless truly desperate. Here they listened to what I wanted and gave me the haircut I asked for. They use a straight razor along with hot shaving cream and they use hot towels. If I was capable of growing facial hair, I would totally get a real shave here. read more

Just what I've been searching for! Ever since my regular barber moved, I've been looking for a new one & I'm pleased to say I've found one!! This is a small private shop where the barber is in it for the long haul. The chain stores have constantly rotating staff who may or may not be good at cutting hair.
