Of the 4 mountains I hit in the Hakuba Valley, the longest trail at best went on for 7-10 minutes depending if you're cruising or bombing from the top to bottom. Park City Mountain side of this resort from the highest blue trail down to the bottom, I feel, could clock a good 15 minutes bombing it, or 20+ just cruising down. Is it harder on my legs to do longer trails? Most likely. Do I spend less time on lifts? I didn't care to calculate the difference lol. I thing I know is that I love the feeling of gliding endlessly over the soft snow, and Park City Mountain gives me that feeling without having to stop for a lift every 3 or 4 minutes. Deducting a star because food at American resorts is absolute TRASH vs what was available at the Japanese ski resorts... #380

I skied both sides of the mountain but i definitely recommend the Canyon side as my favorite. Afterwards there are some boogie hang out spots to swank it up in good company.I had the best ski trip ever! I can't wait to return to this sweet spot:)The locals are absolute sweethearts with helpful leads on anything you could possibly want to explore here.

He informed me that his store did not have but he would research other stores, and would call me back. When I didn't hear from him the next day, I called HIM back. He said he did find what I wanted in CO, but I would have to come in and pay in person. I went in, and found Reed, and thanked him for finding the skis. I asked about bindings and he brought out a set. He proceeded to tell me he would have the skis sent from Colorado to HIS store and then he would send the bindings and skis to me. During this entire interaction, he acted like he was "doing me a favor". He almost had an attitude of detached and "could-care-less what you do" behavior. Then I asked if there would be free shipping. He told me in a curt manner that no, he would be charging me for shipping. It was up to the store manager's discretion to decide about charging for shipping, and that free shipping was only for online purchases. Me: "So EVERY store charges shipping? Which store has the Nordicas?" Reed: "Beaver Creek" Me: OK, can we have the skis sent directly to my home from there and can I talk to the manager at Beaver Creek?" Reed agreed and called Beaver Creek. He put me on the phone with John, who was the complete opposite of Reed in terms of his tone and demeanor! He was super helpful, he said of course he will ship the skis to my home and NO shipping charges. I told him we skied in CO and he said please come to Beaver Creek and that I would love it. I told him I would see him next winter. I told Reed I would NOT be purchasing the bindings from him because of his rude attitude. As I had gotten previous help (on another visit to Christy's) from BETSY, who was absolutely helpful, knowledgeable and gracious, I walked out after telling Reed that "he could learn a thing or two about customer service from the other employees." If someone in upper management at Christy's reads this, it would benefit your company to think about weeding out bad seeds like Reed to preserve the reputation of Christy's. That was one of the worst examples of customer service I have ever encountered. Word of mouth spreads quickly.

I met Julia in 2010 when she came to my acting class and introduced us all to the amazing work that is The Alexander Technique. I had personally never heard of it before but within the first hour, I was hooked. Julie taught me how to become present to myself and my body within minutes, which for me is a challenge I have faced for years. Through her Alexander teachings, I've learned to free my body of tension when talking in front of large groups, singing and even driving. It has changed my dancing and acting for the better and her approach is so soothing. She has this wonderful contagious energy and being in her presence was a gift. She works with everyone from actors to musicians, dancers to public speakers and beyond. If you want more freedom in your body and in your work- Julia is your go to Alexander Queen. I am so sad that she and her lovely family have moved away from Los Angeles, but I am so happy for everyone in Park City because they are truly getting the best. Go see her!
