Stopped in for some breakfast and a day of movie watching. Tried Kay's Diner down the road West and that was wonderful. This is a classic stainless steel diner and is what you would expect. Eclectic mix of stuff on the wall, classic Americana interior with the vinyl seats and the counter. I ordered the "Alien Invasion" which is 2 buttermilk pancakes, 2 eggs cooked to order and your choice of applewood smoked bacon, sausage or ham. The pancakes were very good along with the bacon. I would order again. The only Issue I had was the soda was flat twice and the server seemed frazzled/disinterested that is an issue. I am a very picky eater, and I love good service. I also have a dog, so wrap those into one for a difficult customer. I just want to say that the team at Park Diner in Naples are delightful, and along with owner-manager-partner, Kevin, understand that service is really why patrons return. The food was amazing, including the cauliflower. The Burger and sweet potato fries are phenomenal. Thank you all for making my first (I will now be a regular patron) visit so wonderful. Hubsy and I went on a Friday evening around 8pm, so it's no surprise that it was busy. The place: Park Diner is one of those diners in a shiny rail car, so it's on the smaller side. Inside, it fully embraces the 50s chic with posters and memorabilia from the era. There's booth seating, table seating, as well as the counter. Up near the ceiling there are whiteboards promoting the malts and shakes along with the specials for the day. The location: Park Diner shares a parking lot with the movie theater, so there's plenty of space to park. Right off of 75, if you live in the area you've probably passed it once or twice. The food: we went specifically for the malts and cheese curds and we were not disappointed. The cheese curds came out hot and gooey accompanied by loaded marinara sauce. I mean there were yummy chunks of onion in that since and it was great. I debated between classic chocolate and the malt of the month (mint oreo) but decided on chocolate. Delicious. The service: quick and efficient. They have to be of its this busy with any regularity. Our server was sweet but didn't linger. Fun for a date night, would pair well with a movie! read more

The Park Diner is a local favorite in the St. Cloud area. It's located right next to the movie theater, so before you stop in to see a flick, it's the perfect place to grab a bite to eat. They serve all day breakfast and have appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, and other entrees as well. I feel like I never visit Park Diner enough and it's that place that makes me go, "I used to love it there when I was a kid!" Well, the big kid in me still adores it just as much. I came in last week for dinner with my friend before heading over to the movie theater. We were seated right away. I ordered the '56 Studebaker burger with cheese and a side of potato bites ($7.69). This burger comes with all of the fixin's. My friend ordered the Barbie sliders (comes with two sliders-$8.99) and a side of fries. I skipped the fries because I am not a fan of crinkle cut fries in general. My friend also got the cookies & cream milkshake ($5.29). The first thing I noticed about my burger was that the patty did not reach the ends of the bun, so there was more bun than burger meat. I took one bite and the meat tasted overcooked and there wasn't a whole lot of flavor, but it wasn't a bad burger. It was good but not great. It didn't fill me up by any means. I probably wouldn't get it again next time. I really liked the potato bites! They were nice and crispy! My friend loves the Barbie sliders and told me that the BBQ sauce makes the entire slider. The service was okay. Our waitress brought us our food in a timely manner, but did not refill our waters. She was a sweet lady, but only checked on us once, and she saw my empty glass of water a few times, but didn't fill it up. Although the burger wasn't my favorite and the service was average at best, I'm giving the Park Diner 4 stars because I love their breakfast food and the fun interior/exterior of the place. I would recommend getting breakfast food while here, but they also have signature burgers I haven't tried yet too. If you bring a kiddo with, they can get a kids meal which comes with the awesome classic box cars! Also, you MUST to get a SHAKE. You can't come here and not purchase a shake. Their famous shakes are undeniably one of the best shakes I've ever had. I swear, the kid in me still gets just as excited when they set the shake and the tin down on the table. Although Reese's is my ultimate favorite ice cream pairing and I normally don't care for chocolate shakes, I have to admit the chocolate shake was delicious and admittedly might be better than the Reese's was. I've been here numerous times, and while I have to say I haven't been very impressed with the food (underdone hamburgers), the malts are fantastic. The décor is fun - a 50s/60s style diner. Say you're on a date, and you're hitting a movie at the theater. The Park Diner would be perfect for sharing a malt (or getting your own, though they are served with the metal malt cup and the extra malt) before or after the movie. The good news: no food poisoning!!! I took Mrs. Carnivore on an overnight adventure a bit ago, and for breakfast, we decided to try the Park Diner. In retrospect, "because it's really shiny" might not be the best selection criteria for an eatery. When we walked in, the temp was a solid -4 degrees. (The Carnivore only uses proper measurements, so things like Celsius, liters, and kilometers are neither used nor wanted. Learn proper measurements, and you will be happier.) I have no idea what the wind chill was, but as the notion of "wind chill" and "heat index" as well as the new wussified strength scales used to measure tornadoes and hurricanes are merely tools invented by the weather terrorists to make sheeple believe the weather is worse than it actually is, I do not recognize them as actual things. The temperature is the temperature, and that is that. If it is windy, put on a damn hat and stop whining. Being the Carnivore, -4 is a perfectly good time for ice cream, so I ordered a malt. Ice cream is a meat byproduct, and thusly is valid fare. Here is where things started to go south. Hot fudge is one of my favorite ingredients, and when combined with butterscotch in a malt, the result is staggeringly awesome. Unless someone puts the entire planet's supply of hot fudge in the malt. Sadly, I have now experienced this tragedy, and do not like it. Caramel and cinnamon rolls were uninspired, somewhat dry, the caramel sauce was a rather unappealing color, and the best thing Mrs. Carnivore had to say was that they "tasted like bread." Eggs and bacon were fine, no complaints on either of those. The hash browns seemed to have been run through a dehumidifier before being overcooked. They were crispy, crunchy, dark brown, and not really potato-like. Pancakes had their own level of crispiness to them. Yes, folks, the pancakes were crispy. Now that the food is out of the way, a few words about the service. Our table was serviced in one way or another by no fewer than three individuals. A beverage refill was offered once, our food sat in the window waiting to be brought to us for quite some time. Most annoyingly, when we were finished eating, there was no evidence of anyone that wanted to bring our bill to us. We had to actually go to the cash register and point at the table we had occupied. You will not pay a lot to eat here, but The Carnivore believes it to still not be a good deal. The Carnivore does not recommend this establishment, and will not be returning to it. McBreakfast tastes better, is faster, will not make you wait to pay your bill, and will not give you pancakes that have a crunch to them, and is cheaper. The preceding should not be considered an endorsement of McBreakfast, but an easy comparative example. read more

We came here for our daughters birthday lunch!! She wanted a malt :-) So we ordered strawberry and turtle malts. Our birthday girl wanted the chicken noodle soup, our other daughter had a chicken bacon ranch wrap, my youngest son and daughter shared a cheeseburger and I had a chicken Caesar wrap. The malts were fantastic! They were gone in no time! The food was less than average. No one was impressed. I would come here for a malt again but that's about it.. Not fresh made but they did a damn good job with what they had. My hash browns were a little over cooked for most but fortunately that's how I prefer them. The food is as good as the great decor! The '50's Diners I have been to can be hit or miss; Park Diner is a hit! The look is spot on, red leather booths with 'atomic' tables. Counter seats available too. We stopped for breakfast. The "Flying Saucer" pancakes were the perfect size and delicious. The "rebel" hash browns (with added cheese and fried onions) were also great. The fried onions are larger than typical. Omelettes were great. Service was excellent and friendly. We will be back for a Burger and Malt. read more
