    Classic stainless steel diner

Stopped in for some breakfast and a day of movie watching. Tried Kay's Diner down the road West and that was wonderful. This is a classic stainless steel diner and is what you would expect. Eclectic mix of stuff on the wall, classic Americana interior with the vinyl seats and the counter. I ordered the "Alien Invasion" which is 2 buttermilk pancakes, 2 eggs cooked to order and your choice of applewood smoked bacon, sausage or ham. The pancakes were very good along with the bacon. I would order again. The only Issue I had was the soda was flat twice and the server seemed frazzled/disinterested that is an issue. Settled on water to drink and that arrived when I was finished with the meal. Seemed like the place was short staffed.

I really appreciate the Park Diner. The service is usually on point and very friendly. They have a wide variety of options and everyone in your group can find something that they want. The portions are very reasonable, especially for what you pay. Also, the batter bites are so good! Get them and you won't be disappointed. Most of the sauces are homemade and so good!

Hubsy and I went on a Friday evening around 8pm, so it's no surprise that it was busy. The place: Park Diner is one of those diners in a shiny rail car, so it's on the smaller side. Inside, it fully embraces the 50s chic with posters and memorabilia from the era. There's booth seating, table seating, as well as the counter. Up near the ceiling there are whiteboards promoting the malts and shakes along with the specials for the day. The location: Park Diner shares a parking lot with the movie theater, so there's plenty of space to park. Right off of 75, if you live in the area you've probably passed it once or twice. The food: we went specifically for the malts and cheese curds and we were not disappointed. The cheese curds came out hot and gooey accompanied by loaded marinara sauce. I mean there were yummy chunks of onion in that since and it was great. I debated between classic chocolate and the malt of the month (mint oreo) but decided on chocolate. Delicious. The service: quick and efficient. They have to be of its this busy with any regularity. Our server was sweet but didn't linger. Fun for a date night, would pair well with a movie!

The Park Diner is a local favorite in the St. Cloud area. It's located right next to the movie theater, so before you stop in to see a flick, it's the perfect place to grab a bite to eat. They serve all day breakfast and have appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, and other entrees as well. I feel like I never visit Park Diner enough and it's that place that makes me go, "I used to love it there when I was a kid!" Well, the big kid in me still adores it just as much. I came in last week for dinner with my friend before heading over to the movie theater. We were seated right away. I ordered the '56 Studebaker burger with cheese and a side of potato bites ($7.69). This burger comes with all of the fixin's. My friend ordered the Barbie sliders (comes with two sliders-$8.99) and a side of fries. I skipped the fries because I am not a fan of crinkle cut fries in general. My friend also got the cookies & cream milkshake ($5.29). The first thing I noticed about my burger was that the patty did not reach the ends of the bun, so there was more bun than burger meat. I took one bite and the meat tasted overcooked and there wasn't a whole lot of flavor, but it wasn't a bad burger. It was good but not great. It didn't fill me up by any means. I probably wouldn't get it again next time. I really liked the potato bites! They were nice and crispy! My friend loves the Barbie sliders and told me that the BBQ sauce makes the entire slider. The service was okay. Our waitress brought us our food in a timely manner, but did not refill our waters. She was a sweet lady, but only checked on us once, and she saw my empty glass of water a few times, but didn't fill it up. Although the burger wasn't my favorite and the service was average at best, I'm giving the Park Diner 4 stars because I love their breakfast food and the fun interior/exterior of the place. I would recommend getting breakfast food while here, but they also have signature burgers I haven't tried yet too. If you bring a kiddo with, they can get a kids meal which comes with the awesome classic box cars! Also, you MUST to get a SHAKE. You can't come here and not purchase a shake. Their famous shakes are undeniably one of the best shakes I've ever had. I swear, the kid in me still gets just as excited when they set the shake and the tin down on the table. Split it with a friend, and you'll both be thoroughly fulfilled! Refer to my photos for some menu prices. They don't have their menu online!

Meatloaf Blue Plate Special and a blueberry shake

This is the old fashioned Diner experience, but with better food! Everything is made from scratch, the mashed potatoes are real, even their ranch dressing is homemade .. And the shakes and malts come with the metal cup! The wait staff calls you "honey". What more could you want? Craving comfort food? Order the Blue Plate Special.

Highly recommend coming here for some shakes after/before a movie. You get plenty for the money as you are given more than what fits in the glass. We ordered a Reese's shake and a chocolate shake. Although Reese's is my ultimate favorite ice cream pairing and I normally don't care for chocolate shakes, I have to admit the chocolate shake was delicious and admittedly might be better than the Reese's was. They have so many options! I also love classic diner style restaurants, so it was an amazing experience when we went for Mother's Day and Father's Day.

This is my opinion on the day we went in and do with it as you want…read more When we first arrived, they were busy. There was a Sunday brunch going on. No problem, we ended up waiting, maybe 15 minutes to get a table. There were 4 of us. That wasn't an issue and the staff was great. We got seated at our table and our waiter, I believe his name was Benjamin, was awesome. Great guy, didn't pressure us to order right away. Gave us time to look and would check in on us. All around great service. He was a 5 star! Even the atmosphere, with it being busy, was what you would expect. A lot of people talking and having a good time, no problems, no issues. We were kind of set back in the corner, which I'm thankful for, because we didn't have the noise from the Brunch area. The reason for the 3 stars is because of the food. With 4 people being served, you would think they would get the fries right? They were over seasoned on everyone's plate, horribly over seasoned. You might as well have been dipping them straight into the container of whatever seasoning was on them. Of the 4 orders of French fries, we left 2 orders on the table. I ordered the Gastro Pub Bison Burger, medium. Benjamin even started it was going to have some pink in the middle, and I said yes. The ticket even stated it. I don't know why they even put it on the ticket if they're going to cook it done. The burger ended up being over cooked and dry. It was a Bison burger, so there's plenty of moisture in those burgers when cooked to medium. This thing comes out as a little nothing sized burger. I wasn't impressed with it at all. My wife's order, Spinach and Artichoke Chicken Sandwich, came out good and she ate it all and really enjoyed it. One daughter had ordered a Buffalo Chicken Wrap. She's had them before at other places and was excited to try their's. Came out ok except for the, what she stated as being too spicy. And again, the fries were over seasoned. My other daughter order a Spicy Dill Flatbread, which turned out really good. She was the only one of us who did like the over seasoned fries. Now when it comes to food, I never send anything back and i don't say anything because we might not be done with ordering. I have the biggest fear about retaliation. You hear the stories from someone you know, of possibly something being a little sketchy when food is reordered or it comes back out, so I just don't do it. I have been here before and it is pretty much the same as I remember it. The staff being great, but the food just being not worth it. The funny thing is it's the Chef's name is on the door when you come in the building. If I was him, I'd be a little embarrassed that his cooking staff can't do a medium burger and do some retraining. At least watch what the cooking staff is doing while preparing food that his name is associated with. I don't need to go back there and eat.
