    Everything was amazing. I went to just help co-sign with my brother on a Kia stinger and ended up walking away with not just that but a 2025 ram 1500 rebel.     Came in initially looking at another car, but after Matt helped me think it through a bit more and ultimately decide on another car. Walked away the first day to do my research and felt zero pressure to buy. Showed back up the next day to finalize financing and they actually got me 2% lower than my bank. Talked through all of the options and they thoroughly explained everything. Some small things here and there, like not having the car detailed or fully gassed up before I took it off the lot, but nothing major. Happy with my purchase and the overall process.

    Celebrating our future camper van.

    We initially came in for a different vehicle but found out it had been sold. So minus one star for poor communication among staff. We had been looking at it for a whole week and communicating with a salesperson about it after test driving. Thankfully they had another of the same van we wanted and they worked really fast to get it ready for us. The van is great and we're very happy with our purchase. They said they would follow up on a missing jack and get back to us. I don't love the mandatory 2 years of tracking that they require you to purchase. It feels weirdly big brother and why do we even need it? All in all, we enjoyed working with Miguel and we're happy with the quality and price of the vehicle. I would definitely recommend Miramar Car Center if you're looking to buy a used vehicle.

    My husband and I walked in to, hopefully, see a person and have them help us initiate a car loan…read moreapplication. We were taken right away. They gave us a form to fill out and as I was filling it out the lady told us not to worry and that we could do the app on our phone... Okay. I didn't think much of it. I thought she'd ask more questions and input the answers or such but no. She explained to us that NF was trying to have their members use technology. I understand that, but some people would rather have the human help; otherwise, why even have loan officers? Tellers? etc. Anyway... we got approved right away but here's where the problem comes with the whole technology thing: she never asked essential questions like, who is this loan for? Who's in the loan/lease right now? Are there any changes, etc. They issued a draft, not a check, on my husband's name only and we needed with my name on it, or both our names. We didn't even need our names on the draft. I was so confused since I've worked for multiple credit unions and they all ask these questions plus they issue cashiers checks. They wouldn't change it. To top it off, they do not take care of sending the check or some DMV stuff. Again, why have employees in branch then? We had to go to another location and ask for the draft to be fixed but they refused. We went to cal coast since SDCCU doesn't do lease buy outs anymore and the service was much better and different! They processed everything in person, we asked question, they issue CCs and send them, they take care of all DMV paperwork, etc. Granted, NF approved us on the spot but the loan was useless to our needs. I was very disappointed as their rate was also much higher than our rate with CCCU and our experience. Maybe in the future we will give a second chance but for now we are okay with our credit cards only.

    Mishandled Fraud Case and Broken Communication Channels…read more I've only been a Navy Federal client for a few months, and unfortunately my experience has been defined by a serious case of identity theft and a frustrating lack of support. A preapproved auto loan check was issued in my name, but I never received it. That check was stolen and used by a dealership to purchase a vehicle without my knowledge or consent. Despite immediately reporting the fraud and submitting extensive documentation--including a police report, fake IDs used in the transaction, and an email from the dealership acknowledging the fraud--Navy Federal denied my claim without explanation. Their e-message system consistently failed to upload attachments, and their fraud department refused to confirm what documents they received or how they reviewed them. I was repeatedly told to call customer service, only to be redirected back to the broken messaging system. It was a loop of deflection and zero accountability. Eventually, the dealership returned the full loan amount--including interest--and Navy Federal refunded my payment. But they still refuse to formally acknowledge the loan as fraudulent, leaving my credit and reputation in limbo. This situation could have been prevented or resolved much faster if Navy Federal had better fraud controls, clearer communication, and a functioning support system. I expected more from a member-focused institution.

MOST IMPORTANT: someone cared, even if it's not five it is very close to a five star service Extremely Disappointed with SDCCU FlyMiles Customer Service I had an incredibly frustrating experience with the SDCCU FlyMiles department. I called to ask about my expired points (worth over \$50), and the representative I spoke with was extremely rude and unhelpful. They offered no alternatives, no solutions--just repeated the same dismissive phrase: *"Is there anything else..."* over and over like a broken record. This wasn't even a bot--it was a real person who clearly didn't care. What makes it worse is that I never received any text or email notifications warning me that my points were expiring. On top of that, they couldn't even tell me how to use the 2,800 points I *still* have left. How can a department handling rewards have so little knowledge or willingness to help? This level of customer service is unacceptable, and I've decided to close all of my accounts with SDCCU. I expected better from a credit union that's supposed to care about its members.

    I to had to close my late aunt's accounts with BluPeak, and unfortunately the process was very…read moredifficult. I first contacted them in late July after her passing and followed their instructions to mail the required documents. Despite sending the packages to the address provided, I was later told nothing was received. Over the next month I emailed and called several times, but responses were slow, sometimes taking several days if at all, and the information provided was often incomplete. Each time I thought I was making progress, they would never respond to confirm it. After weeks of delays I decided to drive from Los Angeles to their Mission Valley location in San Diego to resolve the matter in person. When I arrived I was told I still needed additional documents. This was especially frustrating because I had emailed the day before to confirm everything was in order and was not informed of this. The only positive part of this experience was working with Tron at the Mission Valley branch. He went above and beyond, even staying after his shift ended to help me complete everything. He was empathetic, efficient, and made sure I left with the situation resolved. I want to acknowledge him by name because his professionalism and compassion stood out compared to the challenges I faced with member services. Overall I would caution others who need to handle account transfers after a family member's passing. Be prepared for delays, lack of communication, and missing information. Unless you go in person, expect a long and frustrating process.
