If I don't feel like dealing with the crowds at Market Basket, this is my go to spot! Park N Shop has good parking, is easy to get to, is nice, clean, bright, and they run great weekly ad specials! Store is organized and the staff is always very friendly. The cashiers are younger and they're very sweet and hardworking. I haven't had an issue with any of their produce, has always been very fresh. They don't have the huge selection of Market Basket or Whole Foods but they have the essentials. Produce was not that good. I was not impressed with the store layout. Prices were ok, but honestly would not return to this location.

Edit: They just got rid of some of the carpeting! Yay! I love this store, it definitely deserves more credit. When I first moved in about a year ago up the street from Park n Shop, I didn't like it at first because carpet in a grocery store is weird to me. HOWEVER, it's the most convenient grocery store around. It's got a small layout so it's quick to zip in and out. They have alcohol! They always have multiple cashiers working so you hardly have to wait, the food itself is really fresh, and their selection of lactose free/dairy free foods is really good! (I actually go here over the big chains because they have a better selection of it). Also, every time I run into someone stocking the shelves, they're always really nice! read more

I shop the sales and one of the items I buy is tuna fish when it's on sale and I live in a neighborhood with multiple families and each has at least 3 children so when I go to buy I buy the limit for the families and have their phone numbers so I buy for them and lately one cashier has been giving me a hard time I don't take all of the tuna and I would think they would want to help families in Auburn $500.00 a week is alot of money to spend on food to feed their children. Shopped here last night for first time since we were in the area. Produce was top quality; far better than what we have purchased at Walmart and better priced on some items. Excellent customer service. Couldn't find an item. Two clerks helped us look for the item. Purchased an item that didn't go on sale until today - customer service gave us the sale price. Store was well stocked. We are diabetic and they had small selection of sugar-free items in bakery. We are planning to return here weekly. read more

Small store located in a strip mall, most prices are higher but they have good sales you can stock up on. The workers have always been friendly and helpful. They have 2 different FRESHLY made soups, chowders and great chili I stop in for now and again. Support your local stores and shop local ! Been shopping here for a long time - great folks! The Park N Slop actually impressed me. They had exactly what I needed and their own bakery items are decent. They are more expensive (at least on the items I needed) but that's what happens when you don't have the buying power of a major chain. At least when you spend money here you know it's going to a local company who is going to be a more significant part of the community compared to a regional or national corporate machine. One thing though... the carpeted floors add a nice vibe however they are creepy if you think of dairy case spills or meat juice... ******UPDATE****** Best grocery store bakery blueberry muffins PERIOD! This store is disgusting. I purchased a bag of lettuce dated 6/1 on May 27th, opened it on May 28th and almost passed out from the rotten smell. Also, the so called "hot foods section", most of the items were dried out (chicken for example), other items, very greasy. And the cashier's, no plastic shields anymore, no masks, young workers who could care less about us older generation who are trying to avoid getting COVID. I needed balloons filled up that I'd bought elsewhere (impossible to find color) and instead of giving me a hard time or charging me $1/balloon like everywhere else I called (if they'd even do it), the manager was friendly and accommodating and charged me a simple, flat price for a bunch of balloons. This place puts the "gross" in grocery store. Not only are the prices extremely and unreasonably high, but the place is carpeted. EEW! It's so disgusting to think about the meat department carpet just crawling with the souls of weeping animals of the ages. The only reason I ever set foot in the place is that I can make it from my door to Park N Shop and back in less than 10 minutes. They'll give me rolls for quarters for the laundry machine in my building in exchange for my crisp $10 bills, and that's all I ask of them. We call it "Park N Puke". read more

Stopped here to pick up a salad for dinner and fruit for breakfast the next morning. When I opened the salad, it had a peculiar odor. I checked the date and saw it had expired. I then checked the fruit, noting it had an unexpired date. The next morning, I opened the fruit, which had a rancid odor, despite have a "current" expiration date. This is the worst market I have ever been to. The bathroom have feces smeared on the toilet, and the rugs are filthy. The store smells like mildew carpet and it's odd that there is carpet everywhere. The selection is below subpar, and the prices are higher than anything else in the area. If you feel like shopping in the 80's and don't care if your list is 50% completed by the time you searched everything, this is your place. But there is $25 dollar bottles of wine I never heard of on the end caps. So they got the beer and wine down, who cares about food right? After all it is just a dirty market. read more

I reluctantly use Park N Shop because of the convenience of stopping after work and also to pick up wine and dinner. I have found that there is so much expired food in this store and so I have to be diligent about checking dates (milk, cheese, sour cream, even crackers). We recently got burned on lemonade in the dairy case that had expired two months prior. Yesterday my husband picked up a few items and checked each and every date, but when I opened up a package of chicken thighs (within the dated period) the rancid stench was overwhelming, so another waste of money. I have called the manager in the past about the dates and spoke to employees in the store, but apparently this is the way they do business. NEVER going to Park N Shop again!!! read more

We shop here often, although the prices aren't as competitive as walmart, the staff is very nice/helpful and the place is clean.

While I agree that the prices are way to high, if you shop correctly it's not bad. They have daily specials that are the same each week. I usually stop in on Wed for the hamburg and eggs. The hamburg is cheap and very fresh and they have 3 different kinds (fat content 80,85, 90). Check their flyer and only buy what's on sale. The location is convenient in Auburn. read more
