I wish they could do One LATE NIGHT UNTIL 8pm I miss the 8pm hours I just can't make it with work. Also they need to check merchandise more closely for expired items. Terrible selection, the store has an "off" odor, and service varies from decent to terrible.

Employees are very friendly but the produce is hit or miss. I bought thyme and a shallot yesterday for cooking tonight. Shallot was rotted and the thyme looked like something that should have been a decoration for Halloween. Left without a bag of groceries once. Now, I always double check I have everything. One of the cashiers even admitted "Yeah, sometimes we forget things". Went back to get said back of groceries but they were closed. I only go there because location wise, it's convenient. But from the low quality produce, no cart return, and people just standing in the middle of the aisles and congregating like its an ice cream social, I need to start going elsewhere. Only saving grace is the butcher counter. read more

A nice local grocery store. Not much else available in the immediate area and to be honest, I'm fine with it. Store is clean, the staff is friendly. Prices are in the ball park with the competition and they have some good weekly deals. Extra points for offering coupons on their web site. Has always been my go to store for groceries. Long established supermarket in the community that provides excellent customer service and a great place to shop . They also sell Beer and Wine. Always stocked with the essentials and they have a great Produce department and deli and meat departments as well. Employees are friendly and are very helpful. Very generous in the community providing food for the 3 local food pantries. Would highly recommend!!!! read more

Good Lord, some of the other commenters here regarding the Bad Meats and also stating how they need to be consumed the same day of purchase, they aren't exaggerating this one bit... I just happened to be in the area and needed to make a quick stop to pickup a few Meat and other related items... The Meat I bought all had reasonable Expiration Dates, but every single Item I bought had browned within the first 24 hours and had and "off-taste". This was true with the Burger Patties, Ribeye Steaks, Beef Ribs and Chicken Drumsticks I had bought. Although obviously the Chicken Drumsticks were not "browned" and were the freshest out of all items. I continued to cook and eat the items because I know that the browning is not unsafe, you won't get sick, but let me tell you that I am a Meat Connoisseur and Purveyor, and these meats were not only some of the meats most lacking in freshness I've ever purchased in a supermarket, but I also did not get the "satisfaction rush" which good quality meats should bring if they are raised well with good nutrition and also based on freshness. I've had meats in the past bordering freshness / expiration which would still give me that rush. Every single one of these house meat products did not, which means they come from poorly raised / nutrient deficient raised animals. All that being said, the store has a very small, smelled horrible, and had outdated layout, it was filthy with produce scraps all over the floor when I was there, I wanted to buy some garlic in which all of it was either going bad and had black mold all over the heads. Unbelievable amounts of the black mold. Very poor selection and variety of foods, and the pricing is not competitive with nearly any other market I know of, everything was super expensive there. I don't plan on ever returning, and it's too bad, I prefer to support family run businesses, but this place is outdated, unclean, unsanitary and they sell inferior meat products which lack freshness. Sometimes there is something to be said about places and things which are Timeless. But this place doesn't cut it... Never will return... read more

I have been shopping at Gorettis for close to 19 years. I think they are fantastic. My opinion ~ I think their prices are very reasonable. Some of their prices are much cheaper than Stop n Shop and Market 32 unless these companies run ads. They will get you what you like also. Thanks Gorettis!!! read more

We live in Grafton and are right in between Goretti's in Millbury and Stop and Shop in Grafton. Usually the deciding factor to where I shop is what I am driving by, and as a Mass Pike daily commuter, it is almost always Stop and Shop. Today I happened to be coming the other way and stopped at Goretti's to buy dinner. I was absolutely delighted with the new butcher shop - a case full of premium cut meats and ready to cook prepared meats. This is something that I was very used to when I lived in Boston but since moving to Grafton has been missing. I have grown accustomed to picking through the meat section (often marked 33% off because no one wanted it!) with no attendee and just winging it. I am a cook - a good cook - however, I am also very busy and don't always have the time to create an inspiring entree for my family. Tonight I was able to purchase an apple and cranberry stuffed pork loin and just pop it in the oven... just what I needed. As I looked around Goretti's today I really appreciated the excellent selection of cooked foods, cheeses, deli, bakery ... it's definitely going to be my new go-to. I will even drive past my house and 2 miles up the road, after passing Stop and Shop, to shop there. The fruit and vegetable selection is always excellent, the customer service is top notch. If the prices are a little higher, I'm ok with that. (just not too much higher!) read more

Good place for sale items. It is a little run down inside -- sloping floor, missing tiles. The deals make it worth visiting. The meats are probably the best value -- but be prepared to re-wrap the items into smaller portions. Decent "ethnic" foods variety for the location. They have Campbell's soups and stocks cheaper than Price Chopper ( most varieties). read more

I like Gorettis for their sales. I have rarely had a problem with their meats. What I do have a problem with is at this time they have an employee in the deli who is substandard. She is surly, rude, always in a hurry, NEVER asks if the meat is cut the way you like ( which ALL the other deli employees do. ) I have contacted the store about the young lady. If I see her in there deli, I avoid it. She should be moved elsewhere. read more

Been a customer for many years. Yes, they are on the high side on pricing but the quality and service can't be beat. It's a trade-off. Excellent quality meats, deli, produce, and prepared foods. (I am eating lasagna and an antipasto salad from Goretti's as I write this!) They also have party platters. Very nice, neat store. They recently replaced all the carts, too! Great store with a tremendous staff and nice solid selection. They run special sales on Tuesdays and Saturdays and the deli and bakery are top notch. Trust me, you don't want to shop at the bigger chains which emphasize cheaper prices, quality is sacrificed and corners are cut. read more

This is a cute little neighborhood store, very clean with a good selection. Not sure why the other two reviews were bad, but who knows. Its the only market in this area for miles, so their prices are a little hirer on staple items. I did find a lot of specialty items at this store, such as imported hungarian paprika, both hot and sweet, which I needed for a paprikash dish I was making in the fall. Good store in my opinion, no complaints. And, it was open in the middle of the most recent snow storm. read more

What a dump... The aisles in some spots are so narrow that you have to stop to let some pass going int the opposite direction. I can find no true redeeming points to mention... if this where you shop, I feel for you. read more

I recently had a job selling subscriptions to the newspaper. I sat at the door and gave out free newspapers. when I started the first day, I told the manager that I sometimes had small seizures and they would go away in 5-10 seconds but I would be fine. on my second day I had a seizure where I went to leave the store but the door didn't open from the inside. I yelled at the door and just as fast I came out of the seizure. on Friday I went back to the store and was told by the manager that I had to leave the store per orders of the owner Mr goretti. I spoke to Mr goretti and explained what had happened. he told me he had a customer complaint and that I had to leave. both the manager and mr goretti were completely indifferent about it and ordered me to leave. it is a nice store but its run by people with no compassion. I wonder if I had a cart full of groceries would they had told me to leave????? read more

The only "run down" looking part of this store is in the back, near the bathrooms. But, it's not a part of the store that many people go into. The new addition to the side is very nice. Some products are a tad more pricey than going to a chain super market, but this store is a small family owned place, and it's a great place to go when you're just looking for a few things. read more

SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES!!!! Do not shop at the big chain stores... Their loyalty is not in it, like at Goretti's Supermarket in Millbury. This store is about the customer and it shows. I love this grocery store!!! Nice small family owed store, employees are always courteous and helpful. You can see the owner throughout the store, whether it be slicing cheese at the deli, wearing an apron - working in the meat room cutting meat, to helping customers with finding the right product, and he has even given recipe ideas. I find it comforting going in to a store and being in a small town, the employees know you and really seem to care. I love this store. Great old fashion customer service that is just gone from other grocery stores. Prices are very close to other grocery stores. Employee's are so nice and friendly.
