I visited this dealership today intending to purchase a vehicle with cash. I found an Acura that I was genuinely interested in, but unfortunately, not a single salesperson approached me or even acknowledged my presence. I spent time looking at vehicles near the sales offices and even outside the manager's office, yet no one made an effort to speak with me. The only employee who greeted me was a gentleman working in the service department. What made the experience particularly disappointing was that several employees appeared to notice me, but still chose not to engage. As an African American customer, it left me wondering whether assumptions were being made based on my appearance rather than my genuine intent to purchase. I arrived in a 2023 BMW and was prepared to buy a vehicle that day, but I was never given the opportunity to have a conversation with anyone. Customer service begins with a simple greeting and acknowledgment. Unfortunately, that basic level of service was missing during my visit. I ultimately purchased another BMW elsewhere, so this dealership lost a ready and willing buyer. I hope other customers have a better experience, but I would encourage management to evaluate how potential customers are being welcomed and treated. A little effort and professionalism can go a long way. read more

They are exactly what every stereotype of a bad salesman is. Started talking with Jennifer who had responded to us on line so we asked for her. She was pleasant but seemed a little bothered for us to be asking questions. We went ion to look at the integra but noticed a TLX in the show room a 4 year old, TRX with over 40k miles 3 owners, and scratches on the side. After test driving the Integra my son said he wanted to try the TLX and Jennifer said it was no problem to back it out and test drive. After walking away she brings out the sales manager who tells us we can not test drive it until he sees if we qualify and we finalize numbers of course after that we can test drive before we finish the deal. So I tap my son say let's go and thank him anyway. He starts with what's the problem that's how we do business here to which I explain I work in sales and I'm not going to be high pressured into doing something I'm not ready to do. To which he says "you must not be very good at it" " this is how it works" I responded to him saying it was his approach to which he says"my approach with a laugh this is exactly what my GM said to say it's a limited edition vehicle ". I reminded him it was a 4 year old vehicle with over 40k miles and 3 owners it's not limited it's discontinued and finished well that's great I'll go next door and buy him a BMW to which he responded "yea right" so all in all I wouldn't deal with low IQ pushy sales people that try to judge a book but it's cover. read more

Went to look at a used car. Tires were very worn unevenly. I took pics and asked my mechanic friend. He said something is wrong with the front alignment. The salesman was not acknowledging what was there, was not willing to lower the price so I could get the needed repairs nor would he consider replacing the tires. read more

I have taken my 2021 Acura RDX A-Spec to get serviced and have always had a pleasant experience. The facility is nicely kept and clean, and every team member I've worked with has been friendly and professional. I want to give a shout out to Bill Johnson (CSI) and Adrian (Parts Mgr). I bought an Acura logo keychain that broke and they replaced it with no problem. They also gifted me with an additional keychain of my choice to make up for the unfortunate experience. I have purchased several vehicles over the years from Park Place Lexus and always associated the Park Place brand with exceptional customer service. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Park Place Acura was extremely disappointing and far below expectations. I recently scheduled a recall appointment for my Acura involving the braking cylinder -- obviously a very important safety issue. After driving to the dealership for my appointment, I was told the recalled part was not even available. Less than a week later, I received a letter stating the part had arrived. The lack of communication and organization was frustrating, especially considering the seriousness of the recall. I rescheduled my service appointment and was checked in by service advisor Marco Martinez. Upon arrival, he asked whether I had completed the loaner paperwork. I explained I had never received it. Instead of assisting me or simply gathering the information himself, I was told to sit in the service bay and complete everything on my phone. What happened to customer service? It only got worse from there. I had to transfer my belongings into the loaner vehicle by myself while Marco stood and watched, offering no assistance whatsoever. No instructions were given on the loaner vehicle either, despite it having a completely different operating system than my car. When leaving, I literally sat waiting for someone to open the exit bay door because no one gave me any direction. Needless to say, I will not be returning. Park Place Acura was already an inconvenience at 15 miles from my home, and this experience confirmed I'll be taking my business to Goodson Acura moving forward. When I got there she said the vehicle was being worked on and I could not see it so we made an appointment for Monday at 4:30, she texted me 2 minutes before I got there that vehicle had been sold. My experience today is yet another disappointment with Park Place Acura. I've been coming to this dealership for decades, and it's rarely a smooth process. I came in for a simple oil change, tire rotation, and balance. However, when the service advisor (Will) didn't agree with the services I requested, he decided I shouldn't get the work done. He told me that because I wasn't currently experiencing balance issues, there was no reason to perform the service--even though a rotation was already scheduled. In the past, when this dealership rotates my tires, the balance is often off afterward, forcing me to return and waste additional time and money. That's exactly why I asked for the balance today. What made the situation even more disappointing is that the young man ended up handing me off to another service advisor because he couldn't handle the conflict he created. That should never happen, especially to a long-time customer. It shouldn't be this difficult to come in, request a service, and have the dealership honor that request. After decades of loyalty, I expect better. read more

I phoned Park Place on Wednesday Afternoon in an absolute panic regarding service to replace our battery for our Acura MDX and spoke with Susan in the Service Department. She immediately honed in on my sense of urgency and worked us into their already fully booked schedule. She informed us upfront that we would be waiting a while, which we were completely fine with. We were fortunate that my Mom and I just had lunch and the restaurant owners were so kind as to give us a boost out of the parking lot so we could actually get to the dealership. Grateful to them for getting us going and to everyone here in the Service Department that we were able to be accommodated. Our usual service tech (John Thomas) is currently on vacation so our ticket was initiated with James Key. We have met before so he recognized us upon our arrival. He was very clear and thorough, kept us informed throughout our visit, and identified three items that needed immediate attention - the timing belt, the dead battery, and brake fluid flush. They were able to complete two of the three items (due to a parts order for the timing belt) and returned for the installation this morning. I am glad the battery died on Wednesday since we are going out of the country for two weeks starting tomorrow. Every service technician that we have encountered over the years (been customers at the original David McDavid since 2001 and have an Acura MDX of the same year) has been professional and knowledgeable. James had the shuttle driver give us a ride home, called me when the vehicle was ready, and sent a text for a Lyft ride to our house to pick us up. Door-to-door service is convenient and worry-free. I forgot to get his name, but one of the gentleman there (who recommended a portable jumpstarter which we purchased online) showed us how exactly to use it by opening the hood and demonstrating it. I appreciated that, because I know there is a potential to seriously injure yourself if not done correctly. It is my sincere hope that John, James, and the gentleman whose name I cannot recall stick around because they greet you with a smile, keep you updated on the progress of the service of your vehicle, and make you feel like Family. We will continue to bring our vehicle to Park Place Acura for our future servicing needs. read more

I had an Acura RDX that I bought from them 18 months ago. I had to visit the dealership four times during that time for simple tire changes because of nails, and for basic oil changes. Their service department has high turnover of personnel. The service bay looks confusing and helter-skelter. The wait times are abysmal. My most recent visit was the worst. Told them when I made the appointment and when I checked in that my tire was losing pressure. They gave me a loaner and was told to come back in 2.5 hours. I came back and they asked me what was wrong with my tire? I repeated what I told them twice. They said we'll let you know when it's ready. I dropped my car off at 9 am and it was finally ready at 3:30pm, for an oil change and tire patched. So, I drove to Sewell Lexus in Dallas, traded in my Acura RDX for a 2026 Lexus NX350 F Sport. The sales and service was beyond excellent. Communications and deportment by their organizational staff was evident in the manner in which they treat the customer. They were simply courteous and nice people. I also have an Audi that I bought from Sewell Audi in McKinney, and I've been used to their superior and professional service levels for 5 years now. I loved my Acura RDX, but I soon realized life was too short to subject myself to a broken service system at Park Place. They are staffed by people who are trying to make a broken system work, and are trained to make you feel like they are doing their best. I think they know they are not, and that is unfortunate that they have to play a shell game with customers. That's not a very good long-term survival strategy. And, they always send you texts and voicemails asking you for feedback and "give me a 10". I've tried to call the phone numbers from their voicemails, but I always get "cashier not available, please try again". I fell very sorry for them. read more

They will lure you with ads. I've purchased 3 vehicles from Park Place over the years. I've always found them to be highly professional and client focused. I'm happy for them to make a profit and continue to do good business, but this situation was really frustrating. On 12/23 I inquired about the special lease offer on the new ZDX. When I got there I was told that the car that was advertised was gone. Again, I'm used to that with the Chevy or Ram store, but was really frustrated by the game at a Park Place dealer. On 12/24 Denis the New Car Manager called me. I returned his call after Christmas on 12/26. He expressed concerns over my situation and was really gracious. He said he would make it right and honor the price in the ad. He said he would personally take care of us and have the car ready for my wife to see. I told him we would be at the dealership later that afternoon. I take my wife, the car was supposed to be her birthday present, and expect this to be a really great experience to make up for the previous interaction. When we get to the dealership, we asked for Denis and stood around for about 10min. They were quite busy, so we understood. A sales person named Paul comes and introduces himself to us. He asked us to take a seat while he located the car Denis had ready for us. We then waited for well over 45min before we saw Paul again. When we finally did see him again he explained that they were struggling to locate keys for the vehicles and it was really busy. He asked if we'd look at an alternative color. I was ready to leave, but we agreed. Another 15min go by and a young lady comes to us to take us on the test drive. No sign of Paul, and we've yet to see Denis. We go on the drive and as expected the vehicle itself is great! When we get back to the dealership, my wife agreed that she'd take this color and ask her to write up the deal sheet. After a few minutes the young lady comes out to show us the deal and to my surprise they have now valued our trade $4k under. I hate to think it, but it seems Denis was offering the deal from the ad by making up for it with a lowball trade offer. Denis comes out to try and explain that our car just isn't as valuable as we thought. Carmax offered us exactly what we expected. See attached offer sheet. I expect these kind of games from lower end dealerships, but this was highly unprofessional. I can understand that cars sell out, I can understand busyness, I understand making a profit, and I try to offer the benefit of the doubt which is why I went back to the dealership after our first go round, but this was a terrible experience. I wish I could give zero stars. I will never buy another Acura, and I will NEVER buy another car from Park Place. My car locked me out of my car after I started it remotely with the Acura app. I had my key fob in my hand, I had the app open, and neither one worked. I eventually remembered someone telling me that I could take the key out of the fob. Every single time, I try to make a phone call with Bluetooth. It will quit working and then back on and quit again, over and over. I called the service department to set up an appointment, and a very rude employee named Susan or Suzanne acted like being locked out of my car was no big deal. Update 9/27/24 I went back to the dealership today, in hopes that we could rectify the issue where my vehicle was damaged, only to be questioned and belittled by the Body Shop Manager Paul. I thought after having what I assumed to be a productive conversation yesterday with Jason, that we would be on the right track but boy was I wrong. On top of all this, I received an email from John Thomas the service guy "asking" me to give him a 10 on a survey that will be sent to me. If I'm unable to give him a 10, then I need to reach out to him to explain why. I wonder if the dealership giving me back a damaged vehicle is a sufficient reason for a low survey? read more

‼‼‼‼‼‼We had took our car here to get serviced for a recall on October 5th and our car has been in there for month , yes a rental was given to us in the meantime while we waited on our car to get fixed . We finally got our car back on the 5th and once we left our car hasn't been the same , I'm 100% sure that they did mess with other things on / in our car because it's not driving how it used to and we have to get a our car jumped every time we leave even though we let it run for a minute and drove it around . They were so eager to get their rental back and I'm pretty sure this is why , just for them to give us back our car messed up and practically broken . If you're going to get your car serviced for any recall make sure that's the ONLY THING that they're doing and not looking around and messing with things while they have your car in their possession . My car has engine recall and unfortunately scheduled in this location. The recall was free but we ended up paying 3000 for here and there repairing. After a month, we found oil leaking from the engine, now we are querying if those 3000 repairs were scams. We are going to file the consumer complaint hope someone can correct this. read more

Poorly managed service department, had vehicle in for recall service which turned out to be a total engine tear down for failed rod bearings. The repair took almost a month, with "no loaner" available. When we picked up the vehicle, the AC was working (of course they were sure to note numerous deficiencies that needed repair $$$ to the garage kept, 35K mile MDX) and by the time time we got it home, it had quit working blowing warm air. We contacted PPA, had to wait of course and then finally got it back in. I noted PAG oil had dripped onto the garage floor and had made a small puddle. This was mentioned to the service rep ("Advisor" is putting to much credo on these folks) but the idea was blown off. This is AC lubricant leaking on my floor! They then had it another 3 weeks because they do not possess neither the functional equipment nor the necessary trained personnel to assess and repair AC, go figure. Finally picked up our vehicle, seems to work but we will see. Do yourself a favor, go else where! read more

On Oct 4 I went to the Acura dealer in Plano to get some maintenance done on my MDX. When I arrived, I was asked if I had an appointment and was told that I had to have an appointment to get service done and it would probably be the middle of the following week before I could get an appointment. The individual was not interested in setting up an appointment or helping me do that so I went home. When I got home, I went to the website to set up an appointment and low-and-behold there were appointments for Friday the 4th of October. I set up an appointment and returned to the dealership in the afternoon. When I returned, I was asked if I had an appointment. I said yes, I did. The individual asked for a name which I gave but he said he could not find it. The door was opened and I found myself in what I would describe as a three-ring circus with clowns in charge of every ring. I was told that Mr. Martinez would be with me in a minute. No problem, I waited. A few minutes went by and another individual showed up saying that Mr. Martinez was busy and that he would get the information and get me "checked in" for the work. I told him I needed an "A16" as indicated. He said no problem and I also asked to get the power steering fluid checked and changed if necessary. I asked him to do the same for the brake fluid, check it and change if necessary. He said OK they would do that and told me they would also do a "multi point inspection" on everything. I told him I would wait for the work to be done and be in the waiting area. After a few hours Mr. Martinez was going through the waiting area looking for me. He said that he had been trying to contact me about the work being done. Apparently, he sent a text message to my home phone number which is not a "smart phone" number which is what I told the person at the beginning. I was given the "multi point inspection" and told that I needed to have the power steering fluid and brake fluid changed. I told him that I had requested that it be done at the very beginning of this process. He seemed uninterested and said that I should set up an appointment. He also said that I had a leak "underneath" the car and that they needed to do a "diagnostic" test/work to determine what was wrong. My "BS meter" went off because this car has Never, and I repeat Never, had a "drip" on the garage floor where is usually sits. The photo shows what is much more than "just a drip" as he described. Just to be sure I checked the garage floor when I got home and nothing on the floor! I let the car set for 3 days and looked underneath, again, nothing. However, I saw what I would describe as a mess from where the so-called technician had spilled oil all over the rear transmission and frame work. This person didn't even try to wipe/clean up the spill. This is one of the oldest scams in the automotive repair shops dating back to the early 70's. When a customer pulled into a "full service" interstate service station the attendant would start filling up the car and then "find" an oil leak under the rear of the car (he pulls out an oil can spills some on the ground). He tells the customer that they have a leak and that he can fix it so they won't break down on the interstate. Pure scam! I'm not saying that this what is happening here but it is very, very suspicious. At a minimum the technician is Sloppy and takes no pride in in their work! Additionally, I finally got a copy of my bill that Mr. Martinez said he would send to me when I checked out. He said that I should send him an email with the email address and he would "reply/with a copy." After two days and several emails trying to get a copy of the bill I get it from a different person. I guess entering an email address when I checked out is a very difficult process and that it takes an IT person to do that. I'm not sure what has happened to the Acura dealership but as a 20 plus year Acura customer I will have to reconsider my next vehicle purchase/choice. There are some serious personnel issues at this dealership and it is not the same service when it was David McDavid. In my opinion this is a direct reflection on the management of the dealership where no one is concerned with quality or the customer. Perhaps that's the plan. Keep the circus going so no one actually sees how poorly everyone is performing. read more

They certainly customer oriented this is second time for recall repair. First time drove there as was told to and when getting there was told no vehicles for loaner for at least a week. Now to current situation another recall they have the parts but tell me my car will be there 5 to 7 days. This was on septemberv19 was told first loaner available wouldn't be to October 18th. What kind of dealer is this certainly not even close to Sewell dealers. Won't buy car from any park place dealer again as I hear the same story from others who deal with them. read more

Park Place Acura of Plano- Buyer Beware The dealership kept pushing me to think about other colors trying to dissuade me from my color preference. They even tried super hard to convince me twice to buy a manual Integra even though I clearly stated I don't drive stick. When they finally showed a CVT Integra build date, they had me come down to the dealership to discuss numbers on 11/14/22. I was trading in a GR86. they took photos of my car that night for what they called "appraisal photos." Working out the numbers, they offered me $31k for my trade. I knew it was worth minimum 34-35k felt they lowballed me hard. I had to haggle to get them up to 32k they wouldn't budge more than that. I put down 3k as a down payment which they said a portion would be my first payment. I didn't receive any lease paperwork with numbers AT ALL. they told me to hold off on updating my insurance until I was picking up the vehicle after it landed at their dealership. That weekend (Saturday 11/19/22), they texted me to say they found 2 potential buyers for my trade & asked me to bring my GR86 to the dealer to sell it even before my Integra landed at the dealer. They offered me a loaner. I found my car on their preowned cars section & found that without my knowledge or permission the photos they posted of my trade included clearly visible shots of my full personalized TX license plate online. This really upset me. Also, I noticed that they posted my trade at nearly 38k!!! (Remember, they wouldn't offer me more than $32k, talk about stealership move. They could have offered me 34-35k and made a profit because it was a super quick flip for them. they didn't give me an any feeling at all that they were doing anything more than leasing me a new Integra. Finally my car landed at the dealer and after they tinted the car (required) it was ready on 11/29/22 and I picked it up in the early evening after work. I expressed my concern about what I thought was a violation of my privacy and rights regarding photos of my trade with my vanity plates on their website without my knowledge and they admitted that they should never have done that and just said "we're sorry, we promise to do better." Really sad excuse because they didn't care about me, they were only worried about selling my trade in to make money and Lock me further into the deal. I magically received a refund of $75 back to my Amex card and asked the Sales Experience Manager about it & she and her accounting dept had no explanation. She said "be happy you got a refund" I vented my frustrations thus far/asked them to remove the tire and wheel protection if they were going to do anything about increasing the value of my trade or somehow making it up to me on the fiasco with posting my plates on their website without my explicit permission. They said they couldn't cancel it because my lease was anl effective 11/14/22. This was the first time I heard them say my lease start date. I asked them why did my lease start 15 days before my car arrived? They said this is how we do things. So I lost 15 days worth of my first months payment (close to $300). It's been over 30 days and I haven't received my registration sticker for transferring my personalized plates. Dealership won't respond or provide any updates on this issue. Regarding the Corporate Acura Satisfaction survey, they will coach you on exactly how to fill it out. They say fill it out based on your feelings on your experience with your specific sales person (Sales Experience Manager). Dealerships should not be coaching clients (leading them on what to enter in the survey). She even said "even if you feel I only deserve a 9 out of 10 that's not good enough and they will actually subtract money from my paycheck. please give me a rating of a 10 on all questions and I can get more money in my paycheck." You think I want to allow the dealership or sales person to make more money on my deal when they didn't want to pay me a fair value for my trade? When they started my lease over 2 weeks early and I lost close to $300 of my first months payment? What about the fact that I still haven't received my registration sticker they said I would receive in 14 days and it's been over a month? Texas Dept of Public Safety said today they have no records in their state system that a transfer of registration has been submitted. This is absolutely nuts. I will never recommend anyone to this dealership. read more

Initially I made an appointment to view and test drive a Mercedes GLE, texted back and forth to establish said appointment. Arrived at the established time at the "New" dealership was not greeted but made my way to the customer service desk gave my name and a young gentleman introduced himself and stated he would be working with me in lieu of the internet Mgr. That was great, he was very professional, he then excuses himself to pull the car up, after maybe 10 minutes returns and explains that they have the car I'm to look at in the paint shop, that when it was traded in it had some scuffs on the front bumper that required repair. But the GM had pulled up a White one for me to test??? I was looking at a Red one so I fail to see how looking at a car I have no intention of purchasing makes any sense. So I decline and ask when will the car be ready I am told it will be the coming Monday but I would get a text to verify. Monday comes the text I receive says now it will be Weds. Received nothing on Weds so I reach out via text and do not hear anything until Friday saying now I can see the car, I have done business with Park Place dealerships for many years, currently own 2 MB and am astonished at the lack of follow through or consideration for a potential clients time. This was a pre scheduled test drive and given the car was brought in with the paint problem it seems I should have been told then it was not available as it was in service. But instead we had me drive from Lucas to West Plano for a test drive that couldn't happen. Park Place has lost a lifetime customer from any of its dealerships from me. read more

Worst customer service ever. If you like headaches and NO one to return your calls or take responsibility, then go ahead. Bought a pre-owned car from Park Place Acura on March 20, 2024, paid cash. I begged to handle the tax and title myself because I was from out of state but they would not let me. On 4/25, contacted the dealer because I had not received my tags yet. Took 3 days to get status because they wouldn't return calls. Found out they hadn't filed yet but promised it was done now. Called on Friday morning 5/17, still no tags and temp tags expire 5/19. I couldn't give more than 3 stars in good conscious.Service is extremely slow even with an appointment.I had a tire leak slow and they said I had 3 nails in my tire and it could not be fixed.They quoted $289.99 for a new tire. The 31 point inspection found a few issues and I was quoted $621 to repair everything.I was very suspicious so I said no.I went to discount tire and they checked my tire and found 1 nail which they removed and said it showed no more leaks. 15 minute wait and no charge. I ordered a cabin air filter and engine filter on line for $52 which I will install myself.I will only use Park Place as an absolute last resort in the future. I really miss David Mcdavid Acura. They were A plus in service.So Park Place gets a 3 only which is very generous. read more

I came in on a Wednesday with a listing in hand from the internet to the dealership including the serial number that I had found online. After 20+ minutes of waiting for anyone to come speak with me a gentleman came out and said we do not have any such vehicle. A gentleman then came out and said they are not familiar with the car that I provided a VIN number to. Their representative was startled to see me find the car listed for sale online while I was in their showroom. Caught you in some BS now haven't I? Then the representative disappeared again only to resurface 20 minutes later and he attempted to tell me that the car sold on Sunday evening. It's been 3 days after the fact and you are still advertising the car? I also received an obviously automated email asking me to come evaluate the vehicle earlier in the week. If you place any value on honesty and/or integrity please stay on the tollway and pass Park Place Acura at a high rate of speed. read more
