We were dealing on a certified preowned 2024 Chevy Colorado ZR2 and Santiago Infante went to work for us. We're 2 hours away from the dealership and wanted to get our numbers close before making the trip. Not only did Santiago get numbers right, he was ready and waiting for is when we arrived. Update from my 8.25.25 review. The next day I took my GM car to Sewell for an oil change, tire rotation, etc. basically exactly what I did with my Chevrolet the day before at Huffines. You drive up in their area and are greeted by a sign that reads your license plate and welcomes you to Sewell. Whoever you made the appointment with comes immediately to your vehicle and greets you by name and offers you a bottle of water. We go over and verify what I am wanting to do, sign it and then they escort you into the waiting room (that is so homey and nice) and you are greeted by fresh, warm cookies, muffins, etc. freshly brewed coffee, tea or water. They actually have a full time person at each dealership that keeps everything tidy, freshly baked, etc. Your advisor comes through at least once during the time you are sitting and waiting and asks if you need anything and advises you where they are with your service. If you don't want to wait or can't wait, you can ask for a loaner car (FREE) until your vehicle is done. All they ask is that you return the loaner and pick up your vehicle by the close of business that day or the next day depending on what time they finish your vehicle. As it nears the end of your waiting, your service advisor comes in and tells you they are washing and cleaning up your car and it will be in the bay within a very short 5 minutes if that long. He /she then escorts you to one of the cash registers to check out, where you are offered a chocolate and bottle of water. Everyone there calls you by name and could not be any friendlier if they tried. Every employee that walked through the waiting rooms spoke to people. I feel like I went from the worst service and how the reps could not have cared less while the line was 7 cars deep with one guy helping at Huffines while three sat at their desks and looking at the line of cars, to the next day experiencing the best experience and service experience you can have at Sewell. Talk about night and day. When I got back in my Chevrolet at Huffines, the number my vehicle had been assigned was still on the dash, vehicle was dirty and no one escorted me to my vehicle. You are a number and what you put on your credit card at Huffines. That's it. I think the General Manager and the Huffines would be smart to take lessons from Sewell on how to treat a customer and show them appreciation. You may have been in business for a long time, but that doesn't mean you can't do better. It certainly couldn't get any worse. This is my third or fourth time for service at Huffines. I've never been extremely impressed with them but last week was the wrost. I have been a customer to Sewell's for 30 years with GM's, Cadillacs, Saabs, BMW's and a few others. Found this online after ordering one from Carmax and paying $100 transfer fee. I was reluctant to go to a car dealership where they are paid on commission because of the aggressiveness. I showed up at the used car lot at 8:30 AM Saturday when the doors open. The early bird got the worm and my Saleman Doug Shaw promised he'd make the deal work and he delivered. They offered me more for my trade-in and the genesis they had was a better value. I was in out of there within an hour and a half, which is the most important part of this whole experience. Been a customer since 01/21, got a killer deal on a nearly 0 mile 21' Silverado RST and no trade in with Juan Torres. Traded that in for another killer deal on a 24' Silverado LT this past December with Joby Jacobs. Sales Associates are much more straight with you compared to other dealerships. At service, go to Chase, really nice guy and he takes care of everything while letting you know what you can do to make your service last longer. After several service runs to other dealerships shortly after buying it that were less than satisfactory, I settled on Huffines. Why? Well, let me count the ways. This is my fourth America's Sports Car over the past twenty years. Prior to this one, I took my cars to several other Chevy dealerships in the Dallas area. And getting service from most of them was like being staked to an ant hill on a broiling August day. Matter of fact, most of the time, I would have chosen the ant hill. But over my five or six visits to Huffines, my service advisors have been timely upon my arrival and pleasant to deal with. And their estimates of the service cost and time frame have always been spot on. The waiting area is typical for a Chevy dealership. No fancy expresso machines, complimentary champagne, and hors d'oeuvres that you might find at your Lamborghini dealership. Again, this is a CHEVROLET dealership. And while you might not drive America's sports car, I'd bet that Huffines would be good for your Chevy Malibu, or maybe even some other vehicle brands. Had intermittent starting issues with one of our service trucks. Huffines charged a diagnostic fee and said both battery cables needed replacing and the quote was over $800. wow! I checked a with another shop (that gets the cabkes frim Huffines) and was quoted $535. Since Ed Wallace sings Huffines praises on his radio show I stuck with Huffines for the repair. I got a call from service adviser saying the cables were intalled but, the starter was bad. I asked the obvious question: so it was the starter and not the cables. The service adviser admitted he asked the same question and said they would't charge for the labor to replace the starter. Life is short. I paid and left. read more

I am completely disgusted with the level of detail, repair quality and price of repair. Let's start with the good - They diagnosed the issue correctly, they worked on the truck as soon as they could. It was a rodent eating the wire harness to coil # 7. I called Huffines at 12 noon on Thursday over the memorial holiday and the work was complete by Monday. The bad - I was charged $1189 for towing, diagnoses and rewiring a ignition coil harness (one connection only). So instead of replacing the whole harness, Huffines re-wired the one that was cut. The part to replace the whole unit is $149 on the GM website, buying local. Today, I took the harness off because it happened again, so replacing the harness took a total of 5 bolt (10mm socket) and 30 minutes. So round figures $160 parts + one hour labor. I am beside myself, they did not clean up the cut pieces of wire left behind by the rodent. If you can do it yourself, just do it, it is not worth it to try and trust a dealer like this . Ray Huffines Chevrolet Plano - My new 2023 Chevy Bolt! - Auto Repair Near Me - Plano, Texas

I purchased a used Jeep on 5/22. I made the purchase with a contractual agreement of repairs to be made by the dealership. I was made aware that the repairs were likely not to be completed until after the holiday weekend. I asked Monday when the repairs would be completed and neither sales associate (Steve & Rodney supervisor) could give me an estimate on the completion date. I also made the supervisor aware of a few things missing (tool kit, storage bag and rear tires low tread) No update was provided until I called Thursday, I was informed that both repairs (windshield replacement and side rail repair) would be completed 5/31. Rodney apologized and the inconvenience and thanked me for my patience's and offered me 3 free oil changes. The repairs were completed the day provided, and the missing items (tool kit, storage bag) were in the vehicle. Rodney stated that the rear tires met their standard per there mulit point inspection and would not be replaced. The vehicle was delivered to me on 5/31. The lack of communication AFTER the completion of the sale and the regarding the repairs and when the vehicle was unprofessional and frustrating to deal with. 6/7 I returned to the service department due to low tire pressure reading in one of the rear tires (previously mentioned the tread was low). I scheduled an appt and given a noon appt time. When I arrived, I was made aware that everyone was at lunch, and it was going to be a "few hours". The scheduler did not mention any lunch, or I would have scheduled a different time. The initial repair took approximately 2 hours. When I asked what the issue was, I was given an explanation that there was "road hazard" in the tire and it was patched. I asked for more detail on what the actual hazard was and the rep was not able to provide any detail. When I left the dealership, immediately I noticed the sensor was still reading low for the same tire. I called and was asked by the tech to return. I returned to the dealership less than two hours later. I was notified that the initial hazard was a "nail" and that the sensor was still reading low due to the presence of a second nail that was missed earlier. To remedy this the fee for labor was refunded (jeep still under warranty) and offered fuel. The lack of quality control regarding the initial repair is concerning as I left the dealership and there was still a nail in the tire begs the question of if they did anything the first time. Or if there is just a lack of quality control once a repair is completed, i.e. do they check the sensors or some other quality control to ensure the tire is safe to drive on. I would not recommend others to purchase nor recommend service at huffines Plano based on my experience. read more

Beware the cost of parts. My son took my 2018 2500HD in to have the DEF pump replaced. This dealership charged $1189.30 for the part, which is the MSRP. Price for the same part online (GM Genuine, AC Delco) is $532.79 on one site and $649.95 on another. Either GM does not give discounts to their dealer shops or the dealer is pocketing the discount as pure profit. I highly recommend that you avoid this stealership for your service needs unless you're happy with being substantially overcharged for parts. I will not be back. read more

Congratulations, Ray Huffines Chevrolet Plano! I get to write my 500th review on your business - unfortunately, it will only be a 1-star review. Here's the situation - car buyers BEWARE!!! My kid is in the market for a Chevy Camero. He's just out of college so he's young and he's a nice kid, so they size him up right away as an easy mark. When he went into the dealership he connected with a "nice, young" salesperson by the name of Brian. My son let him know exactly what type of car he was looking for and was encouraged when he was told there "just happened" to be exactly what he was looking for at a Houston dealership. Wow! Imagine that! So they proceed to correspond by text message/email for the next 2 weeks until my kid is told "that's the lowest they can go on the price of that car". So he schedules an appt. to take his car into the dealership so he can get an appraisal on his trade-in (this time with parents in tow). Not suprisingly, they give him a low ball offer on his trade-in ($2000 LESS than Carmax!). The sales manager gets involved at this point and says he's going to offer him more on his trade and raise it up to where it needs to be "because he's going to do that for him" like he's his new best bud and he's doing him this big favor because that's just how he rolls. Wrong! So my son's pretty much ready to do the deal and can you believe it, the sales manager comes out of his office and announces that he just got off the phone with the Houston dealership and that THERE WAS A HAIL STORM LAST NIGHT IN HOUSTON and he didn't want to accept the car without fully knowing if the car sustained any damage or how much damage was sustained. He said he'd have to get more info from the dealership in Houston and would get back to him. Darn the luck!!! What are the odds? Well, turns out there was no hail storm in Houston the night before. We know people in Houston - there was no storm period, much less a hail storm. There was also never a car for sale. This is called the classic "Switch to Get Rich" scheme where they then try to upsell you on something sitting in their showroom that's way more expensive or not what you want. Four days pass and he finally hears back from the salesperson from Saturday (Daniel), however, there was never any mention of the status of the hail damage car. Hmmm, wonder why? It's sad that dealerships have to play stupid games like this and just can't be up front with people, rather than wasting their time with B.S. I was somewhat encouraged when I saw the higher ratings on Yelp for this dealership but they're just like all the others - scammers and time wasters. P.S. - my son's also in the military and when he asked about the military discount AND the new grad discount, that was just another big scam where it's all included in this nebulous total discount that they give off the car. (This is how they treat military members). So I'm sitting here at Huffines Chevrolet service center as I write this review. With less than 5000 miles on my BRAND NEW TRAVERSE, I got a warning notification about the AWD. I call the service center and speak with Pam, who tells me that despite the fact we were told we would always be given a program car for service, due to COVID-19, they can't. And that it's really no big deal, because it would only be about a 90 minute wait. (Side note: I wonder how the service center would feel if Pam told them she was taking a 90 break on the clock...no big deal in their world, I'm guessing.) When I become annoyed and suggest that this may be a warranty issue, she amazingly has a car she can loan me - wait, what? I ask to speak to a manager, and she hangs up on me. Long story short, Pam calls to apologize, the manager, Henry, calls to apologize, and they say they'll have a loaner and to bring my car in. I drop off my $50,000 car at 2:00 for a $10,000 (at best) Chevy Spark (the passenger seat door made a funny sound - like it had been hit in a wreak, and the hamsters under the hood really should retire). Reggie, my service advisor, tells me my car will be ready by 8:30-9 the next day. Here I sit, at 9:50, still no car. Reggie tells me he's sorry, but I'm not the only customer he has. (Side note: I'm literally the only customer he has in the service center right noFor my first Chevy and my first Chevy service experience, I'm not impressed. While Henry met with me and was wildly apologetic, I'm am beyond frustrated at the lack of "straight talk" from anyone in this facility. Just be honest, folks. And if you don't know, don't make something up thinking you're going to appease the customer. Let's just hope that when/if I do get my car back, I don't need to visit here again for quite some time!!!!!!! UPDATE: their big dog manager, Craig, called to personally apologize with no excuses, no justifications: just a straight up, genuine apology. How refreshing!! He also offered me a complimentary oil change and tire rotation if I gave them another chance. This has been a really frustrating experience to say the least. This car and my experience with Huffines have been extremely disappointing. It was the cherry on top to leave the dealership today to have my car already have a low tire pressure light on, despite multiple reassurances (and $$$ later) that it was good to go. 24 psi?! I was previously happy with Matthew Suttle (service advisor?) but his clear lack of care and inability to check on those things before sending me out was crazy. It really makes me question the integrity and quality of the service performed. Don't worry though- there's a discount tire not far from there, so if this happens to you you'll be okay!!! read more

I took my truck in to have my oil changed and take care of a recall. Bad move...recall issue taken care of but more issues with the oil pan. They told me that whoever did my oil change in the past messed up the thread on the pan. That the bolt was forced in and the oil may leak. I would need to have the oil pan changed. Well, I picked up my truck, left it parked in the garage and two hours later there was an oil stain in the concrete. They're claiming "it's not their fault". They wouldn't be in business since the 1920's if they didn't do their job right. I didn't have any issues with my truck until I picked it up from them and now I need to replace my oil pan and have a urge roil change, over $1,000 now! As of today there is no ETA, no full diagnosis and no idea what parts will be needed or when they will arrive. No loaner or alternate transportation. He took the time to discuss what I wanted and ended up advising me on the warranty level that fit my needs. (it wasn't the most expensive one either). Susie in service is top notch. She's like that sweet aunt that's always nice to chat with but doesn't get rattled by anything. She is to the point while being kind and friendly. She's super nice but not overly chatty. I've met with her 3 different times and she always seems to be looking out for me and how I can get the maximum benefit from my dollars. I found this out by trying to by a car from them and was STUNNED! and to add insult to injury, they did the work! And still wanted to slash my trade in value on an immaculate vehicle! As if to say we don't stand behind our own work! I would think this should be something we were advised of upfront so we can go somewhere else!! Sadly I also brought my mothers car here too, cuz I love the hail damage repair guy. I've never felt more ripped off and back stabbed in my life! Especially since I always keep $20k in equity in my vehicles and take pristine care of them, and they robbed me of my hard work! However the body shop is hands down the worst experience I've ever had !! No quality control whatsoever! I was hit with the storm in march2017. I have a 2014 tahoe $65k new, in immaculate condition prior to this. I was told the roof and hood would be replaced as well as the hail damage, new rail light and back wiper. The roof was pre ordered,regardless it took about 50 days to complete. I had to call repeatedly for updates, even to find out if was done! When I picked it up I dropped another car off for the same, when I got home I saw handprints all over headliner, sliced seat, brake light and wiper not working! Took it back got a rental and 1.5 weeks later I was called 1 hr before closing on Friday that it was done and left up front, I guess to avoid me! Installed all my sound system back and unloaded personal effects. 4 days later it rained and flooded my entire rear of my truck! Called them and said I want a manager, when I arrived the mgr came out and just stared at me, no intel, nothing?! So I took over and asked what would be done?! And they said "we'll figure it out, here's a rental. Wow?! I advised I will want my electronics checked and warranties now for the future possibilities of damage, he made a little note after I demanded it! Nothing was offered for my 3 trips and inconvenience, not even has $$, So After this is done I'll be trading it in at another dealer since there is no telling what underlying problems are in store, FYI It's been 2.5 weeks also since I dropped the other car off. Still no update on that, and I can only fear what will come of it! read more

I purchased my car here and my family has been going to Huffines for years for service. Reggie is the person you want to see! He is very professional and gets you in and out. The waiting room is comfortable, and they have wifi. Huffines usually mails me coupons for oil changes, so I have never paid full price. The only downside is that they do not wash your car like other dealerships after service. read more

Henry has always followed up with me after service too. Ray Huffines took incredible care of me each time I've been there, and when I was hit broadside - I put my 2018 Chevy High Country in their repair shop. It came out LIKE NEW. I couldn't tell where the original damage from the impact began & ended. Their body and paint shop is the best in Plano if not the best in Dallas. I HIGHLY recommend this dealership over any other in the area. And I went to SEVERAL before I bought from them / continue to get my service from them.
