I'd give negative stars if it would let me. This was hands down the worst service I've ever had from someone I paid money to. To start, James (or Jim, he goes by both) scheduled a walk through of my grandmother's house as I wasn't sure what size truck would be needed or the hours necessary to do the job. He text me the morning of to cancel the walk through and said he'd just give me a quote of $290 for the packing supplies. I didn't love the idea of them not seeing it before but I gave a description of what we would be moving, 5 large appliances, a heavy rock in the yard for a memorial stone, the garage, and the entire 3 bedroom house and he seemed satisfied that they could finish the job in 6hrs of packing on Mon and 6 hours of moving on Wed. On Mon they were an hour late and showed up with just 2 guys. At one point they had a girl show up to help them pack, then they left us there without even saying anything. I sat with her for 2 hours before she said they were done for the day and I needed to pay them for the services done, they don't take payment at the completion of a job. Whatever, I guess I can deal with that. I was unhappy with how the packing was left though. They didn't take apart any of the bigger furniture and there was plenty left to still pack. Wed comes and they text to change the time from 9am to 10am. Then they didn't show up until 11:15 and never offered an apology. After being there for 6hrs and not being close to done, I noticed that the truck was full and said that if they would knock $100 off, I'd get someone else to finish the job because it was taking too long and there wasn't anymore space. James became extremely rude and argued that I hadn't clarified how large the job was. I reminded him that HE canceled the walk through and he said that they aren't standard practice. Okay, you still scheduled it and canceled. We went back and forth while he tried to stuff things into the back of his truck. When I pointed out all the things left in the garage he said "Oh so you want to take all that trash too? Why?". The "trash" he was referring to was my grandmother's art supplies. She recently passed away and all of her supplies were still there. I told him it wasn't his place to tell me what goes and what doesn't and he got irritated. They then started with the desk on the back porch, it had some bird poop on it as the house was unattended for 2 months. James took it into the living room and set it on the middle of a rug they were supposed to pack. I moved it and asked him to not let the bird poop get on other items and he rolled his eyes. They then tried to load the rock that is being used as her memorial stone, I told him ahead of time that it was extremely heavy. He and his helper got it onto a dolly and tried to walk it onto the UHaul. They dropped it and broke a piece off. I was upset so I told him to leave everything else and take what we had packed. We set up beforehand that there would be 2 stops. The bedroom set was to be taken to Gilbert and moved into a 2nd story apartment. I paid an additional $150 because we hadn't originally said there would be stairs and I felt it was fair to pay extra. Huge mistake. They moved everything but the bedroom set, coffee table and rug to AJ and then drove to the next stop. I tried to monitor everything going into the 1st stop but with 3 people it was hard. We finished there and made it to the next stop. They got the furniture upstairs and said they were done. I asked where the other dresser was and they said they must have left it at the 1st location. I asked why the bed wasn't put together and they said they must've left the screws behind at either the original location or the 1st stop. They also unloaded a large box, 2 large paintings and the glass from a table at my apartment when it all should've been left at the 1st stop. James seemed to feel bad about it and said he would deliver the dresser himself on Friday. Okay, great. Friday afternoon he texts me back and says it will actually be Saturday. Fine. Then he no showed and wouldn't answer any of my calls or texts on Saturday or Sunday. I reached out to the girl that had helped pack since that's the only other number I have for him, and she said she was sure he'd get back to me. When I said I needed to speak with him about the missing bed screws (they weren't at either location and my bed is still sitting in pieces) she said I should've paid attention to the pieces as it was a big job. I paid for a FULL SERVICE move, that is not my responsibility. I told her as much and asked that she let him know he needs to contact me as I'm going to be reporting him to the Better Business Bureau and leaving detailed reviews on every page I can find so I can hopefully help someone else avoid this. It's now Monday morning and of course I've had no call and don't expect to get one. This "business" is a joke and James is the worst owner I've ever dealt with. I've attached pics of texts. read more
