After reading the positive reviews I wanted to do business with Parker Cleaning & Restoration. However, due to very poor communication and missed appointments by Mr. Parker, that became impossible to do. Twice he acknowledged/approved my requested appointment time and twice he did not let me know that he was not going to be here. Preparing in advance to have the carpet cleaned is no joke. Moving things, vacuuming, making sure someone will be home, and then nothing. I'm guessing that Mr. Parker doesn't have a secretary or any sort of office help and left to himself, he does not keep up with the courtesy of communications and appointment times. One big waste of time, go somewhere else for carpet service. read more

I have a lovely area rug that my cat soiled with urine, too expensive to throw out and why not try cleaning. Parker Cleaning came out and really got the smell out! I also have a lovely white settee with a large sweat stain from someone wearing a tee shirt in the summer. Parker Cleaning shampooed the upholstery all over and the settee is gorgeous again! Dallas Parker is the best! You can tell he is very passionate about doing the best job on his carpet cleaning. He truly cares about doing a great job. We've had him clean our carpets regularly for at least six years now. You can get cheaper, but its not going to be done right. His prices are reasonable still. He is a master at his profession. After many many reviews I have done this company gets my first 1 star review and its well deserved. I called for a move-out cleaning for a townhouse I own that just became vacant. I call Mr. Parker and spoke to him for 20 minutes about what I needed done. He said he can do everything I needed and he really sold me on his business. Mr. Parker told me the price will be $1700 for the move out cleaning, BUT because of Covid-19 things are tight for many people so he will give me a great price of $1000 dollars. He wanted the money in all-cash (kind of shady for a legitimate business) But I agreed on that price and made the appointment. TWO DAYS before my appointment with him to clean he tells me that he changed his mind and the price will now be $1700. WHAT! I told him NO we agreed on $1000. He said that Covid-19 has his team scared so he is bringing in another team and he pays that team more money. When the cleaning is done he will make just over $400 dollars in profit for my cleaning. And that is not enough profit for him, so he will charge me $700 more so he can make $1100+ in profit on my job. HOW IS THAT MY PROBLEM. Mr. Parker gave me the huge discount himself (I did not even haggle) then changes the price by $700 two days before my appointment. Which really messed me up, because I had an open-house the very next day after the cleaning. Mr. Parker is a crappy negotiator, that runs a non-professional, unethical, shady business. This is unacceptable correspondence from a business (see additional messaging from this company below). I can't understand being called a liar. All I asked for was a quote. We ended up going with Silverback Restorations, (who mind you, was NOT the company that gave us the "ridiculous" quote. We paid more than the "ridiculous" quote, but less than Parker Cleaning quoted us). If anyone is looking for quality work without this kind of communication from its management, we were extremely impressed with their work, punctuality and customer service. Never written a review but want to shout out to everyone in Northern VA!!! I've had dogs all my life and carpets that have had to be cleaned all that time. Every time, I've been okay with the job - but disappointed at how the dogs were just ruining my carpet. With Dallas, at Parker, I am Super Pleased! He came and spent hours pretreating the stains, putting his solution on and leaving it an hour to soak in, and then steaming it clean. He took his time - like it was his own home. I have NEVER had such a thorough job? Plus, he was a delight to have in my home. He spend time educating me on how to keep my carpets clean and smelling fresh, too. I recommend this company to anyone wanting the very best! I've paid for the Big Name carpet cleaners for over 40 years - I wish I'd known about Parker Cleaning. I will only use them from now on. We recently used Parker Carpet Cleaning services before putting our house on the market. We have lived in three different homes since moving to Virginia 30 years ago, so have had a need to use carpet cleaning services during this time. Never have we had someone take so much care, and effort to do a thorough job. Mr. Parker arrived at the arranged time, and worked literally from 9:00-5:00. My roommates and I needed to get our townhouse carpets professionally cleaned for move out inspection. I found an Amazon Local deal for Paker Cleaning and Restoration and called them to see what they could do for us. Mr. Parker was very professional and down to earth. Since our townhouse carpet area was greater than the sq. footage size of the Amazon Local deal, Mr. Parker was able to work with me to work out a good deal to finish the whole house at a very reasonable price. The few weeks or so leading up to the cleaning, any new updates, concerns I had, etc... that I called Mr. Parker for he was very responsive and great dealing with. For the actual cleaning, he was on time and was great to work with. The carpets were thoroughly cleaned, spots that we thought wouldn't be able to be cleaned (some deep stains) were cleaned up nicely. All in all, the carpets came out way better than we even expected, the price was a great deal (he even threw in spot treatments and conditioner/fresh scent deodorizer for no extra charge). After seeing the positive reviews for carpet cleaning by Parker Cleaning and Restoration on Yelp, I decided to give them a try as I have a rental house that is turning over after the departure of a long-term tenant. I called to set up an appointment and, although the advertised price would have expired by the time I needed the cleaning done, they agreed to honor the advertised price. I was a bit skeptical of the price as often carpet cleaners offer a low price but then increase the price after getting started because they charge extra for every spot that they remove from the carpet. As it turned out, I did not need to worry. When Dallas Parker arrived at my house, he was very efficient and professional and, although my carpet was badly soiled and had several significant spots, he said that he would be able to get them out with minimal use of the stronger chemicals and so would not need to add any extra "spot" charges. There were about three or four spots that required the stronger spray and more than a dozen that he needed to scrub with a hand brush to clean. He still honored his original price and the carpet looks great. It is clear that Parker Cleaning & Restoration strives to provide outstanding customer service and to do so at a fair price. I bought a deal from Livingsocial for carpet cleaning from Parker Cleaning, I got an appointment over the phone. The guy showed up 2 hours late and apologized, I didn't really mind as long as job was done because we were moving out and it had to be done that day. He was very professional, and did a great job cleaning the carpets swiftly. But since then, I've been trying to contact the company to get a receipt for cleaning, to show as proof to landlord, I wasn't able to reach anybody. I tried email, phone, left voice messaged but no luck. I hope to get in touch with someone soon, this last part ruined my 5-star experience with cleaning itself. read more

Super pleased with this company! My carpets and sofas take a beating with our 4 kids and a puppy. Dallas came by and spent half the day cleaning the upholstery and carpets. They both look brand new. My home smells cleaner and looks so much brighter. The customer service is outstanding, they are courteous and I felt more than comfortable while they were in my home. I highly recommend them!! Buyer beware. I had a horrible experience with this company. The tech was an hour late and tried to charge me twice as much to clean my carpet once he arrived. My carpets are less than 2 years old. He tried to tell me they are in poor condition. Then when he was finished, the carpet looked the same as when I clean them myself with my residential grade steam cleaner. His professional cleaner did not remove regular foot traffic stains which can be done by hand with any otc carpet stain remover. Then when I tried to pay with my credit card for the extra room he said he only accepts cash. Then he cursed at me in my front yard telling me that my house, which is in pristine condition and in a very nice neighborhood was dirty. This language, curse words and all he used I. Front of my 4 year old son and newborn. I purchased the living social deal to give myself a break but it turned out to be a much longer ordeal than if I'd done it myself. I'm late with my review. I had Parker Cleaning (Dallas) come to my office to shampoo/clean my cubicles, which had about 50 panels. Most were discolored and had drink stains on them. Dallas and his team took their time and when the next day came around, when they panels dried, they looked amazing. They looked so good that I ended up selling most of the cubicles. I was close to disposing of about half the panels before I called Dallas and he assured me that he can get any stain out!!! He did!!!! Will recommend to any of my customers!!! read more

Mr. Parker arrived on time, walked me through what needed to be done and quickly went to work. About 2 hours later my carpets looked pretty new. It does take some time for the carpets to dry so you should factor that in to your plans. This is my first online review of a company. We were preparing to sell our home long distance a couple months ago. We had tenants move out and needed the carpets cleaned. We had used Dallas years ago and remembered his thorough work and great prices so we called him first. When I made the appointment I was pleased to find out he also cleaned the entire home and grout, restore the hardwood floors, and even do some handyman work for us by installing some blinds. Since we were having so much work done he gave us a huge discount which was very helpful. Dallas sent us before and after pictures since we were not local. He did a great job. A friend went in afterwards and noticed a spot on the ceiling was missed and he made sure to come back and get it cleaned up. He required payment in full up front which is understandable but we had never been required to do pay until the work was done with other companies in the past so that took me aback but we resolved the issue. Mr. Parker seems very nice, and I don't have any complaints about the cleanliness of the carpet. However, the carpet was left very wet and is still wet after 5 hours of leaving ceiling fans on, central air fan on high, and air conditioner turned down to keep it running. I will be surprised if it is dry by tomorrow morning, and if not I am a little concerned about mold growing in the pad. I think more of the water could have been sucked out during the process. I have used rental units, such as from Home Depot, to clean small areas before and sucked more water out or used less to clean so that the carpet dried quicker. read more
