PARENTS BEWARE - Today around 11:45 am I watched 2 hispanic women walking 2 year olds around O'Brien H2O pool. The little boy (wearing brown shorts, navy shirt and navy baseball cap) at the front of the lead rope got loose from the rope and was turning to the side when the taller hispanic woman wearing a lilac colored long sleeve T-shirt jerked the little boy so hard he started crying. Then she started yelling at him in spanish. I was horrified and will call Montessori and speak to someone. read more

I rarely write reviews but felt I had to mention how fantastic our experience has been at PM. This was my daughter's first experience in daycare (she began at 2.5) and I felt 100% comfortable leaving her in their care. We enrolled my daughter here when we first moved to Colorado and couldn't have been happier with the staff, teachers, and curriculum. We felt they provided her the structure she needed while offering her enrichment that simply would not have been offered anywhere else (example: to study butterfly life cycles, her teacher actually ordered live caterpillars/butterflies so the class could watch them grow). We then moved 30min away but I continued to happily drive her there every day because of how much I loved the staff at PM. If anyone is looking for the best daycare in the area, look no further that Parker Montessori. read more

My main concern with this school is the owner (Anitha Harshan) -- she stresses excuses over accountability. For every issue we had that we brought to her attention (e.g., verbal bullying by other students, physical violence from other students), we were met with excuses from said owner. More recently, during the Omicron surge, the owner was aware of students testing positive for Covid, but she sat on the information and delayed informing parents, forcing us to make difficult decisions in less time than necessary. When I conversed with other parents to learn the truth, the owner attempted to silence me. Parker Montessori is a zero accountability school with extremely poor leadership. We loved all of our daughter's four years at Parker Montessori and would highly recommend it to anyone. She received exceptional childcare for the duration of her time there. She is now a seventh grader but still clearly recalls her years at Parker Montessori with so much happiness. Her teachers were amazing, without exception. She still has the love of learning and community that she was taught there. Her wonderful teachers and the Montessori method of education gave her an outstanding foundation for the school years that followed - enabling true mastery and powerful, hands on learning experiences instead of the "drill and grill" worksheet type approaches you may find at other preschools. Parker Montessori also taught her social and emotional skills that enabled her to know how to interact appropriately with other children and adults, which served her well when she transitioned to elementary school. She also has still a love of tidiness and order that is unusual for her age and among her peers, which I also credit to her years at Parker Montessori and the Montessori education method. We are so thankful for her time there and we'd do it again in a heartbeat! read more

Moved my daughter here a year ago after issues with her prior daycare. I knew my daughter needed something more than just your standard daycare because she is very smart and independent. After research, decided on Parker Montessori and we've been very pleased with the teachers. My daughter is very strong willed, and the teachers and director are very good at being persistent and teaching her to make good decisions, they have even offered advice on what we can try at home. Parker Montessori was one of the biggest disappointments we have experienced in since moving to this town. We read all the rave reviews and thought that we had found the perfect school for our young children. I will say, this school has one thing going right for it, and that is Miss Dee. She has been absolutely amazing. However, for the school on the whole, that was not the case. There are huge communication issues between administration and staff which widely affect the families who attend PM. They make program changes that affect the kids without even informing the parents. On the whole we were very disappointed. Perhaps the biggest disappointment was in how they handled our complaints. There were excuses for almost everything we brought up but that's all they were, excuses. There were no real plans on how to improve so that the same issues weren't repeated with future students and families. With our final issue that came about, one of the directors was very defensive and seemed to just want us to leave. I think every issue we encountered at PM could have been resolved had the directors been more receptive to change. But that's just my opinion I suppose. It was definitely not the right fit for our family. If you do go to look at this school inquire about Ms. Dee's class, she is the star of this school in my opinion and could make your experience a much better one than we experienced on the whole. read more

I have twin daughters that began at Parker Montessori 11/2012 and had their last day 5/2015. Our older children had gone to Montessori school in another state and we wanted that same great start for our youngest girls. PM had a few ups and downs (as you can expect with any school). We have experience with two classroom teachers that are still there , Ann and Georgia (3-5 year old classroom). These ladies are the most caring and supportive teachers you can hope to find in a school. They both worked tirelessly with our girls to help them be successful and happy. As a result, our girls began Kindergarten this year having already completed the Kindergarten reading curriculum. They are also finishing the math curriculum for Kindergarten. The girls have adjusted well to their new school. I can't say enough good things about the teachers at the school. That being said, as mentioned in other reviews, the office staff is a hot mess. They don't do a good job communicating and responding to parental concerns and questions in a timely manner. There was usually no office staff present in the early morning or when I would pick the girls up at 4:30. This made discussing concerns or asking questions a challenge. Anitha (co-director) in particular can be curt and sometimes uncaring towards parents. She made me crazy because I would call with a question or issue I had and she would answer the phone and then be in a hurry to get me off the phone. Not what you want when your girls are there for 9 hours a day and you are paying $3000 month tuition. We were also unimpressed with many of the caregivers in the before/after care sessions. (We had quite a few over two and a half years.) this program is not managed well and even though there have been numerous complaints, nothing really seemed to change. In summary, the teachers are fantastic, and isn't that what you really want in a school? The administration is frustrating at times for parents, but shouldn't keep you from sending your children to the school. read more

Our son has been in Parker Montessori since 2014. All these three years, he loves going to school. He has blossomed into a confident Kindergartner today. Thanks to his wonderfully kind & dedicated teachers. We especially loved the Montessori night, where parents could see their kids showing their Montessori work with lots of zeal. At first, the concept of that school can be appealing. But, they have a very big disorganized staff and administration. They don't return phone calls in timely manners, even emails takes time (unless you are going to give your money there). When I tour that place, the teacher was barely able to speak English. I am in the States since less than 4 years, and I have a better English than her. I am sure she can be a great teacher, but take this in consideration : speaking correctly is very important, and the teacher must be able to speak the national language correctly. This place is one of the most, if not the most, expensive school in Parker. And you have to provide everything, diapers, lotions, food, etc..., while other places provide some of these. If only that place was really amazing, but it's not. I have not been that impressed when touring it. Honestly, I can only recommend that you go touring some other school and stay away from this school for the better sake of your child... It's been my poorest experience ever in America so far in term of relationship with any business.... Good luck with them... read more

I think this is the worest daycare/preschool in parker if not in CO. All what they care about is money. My kids received the worest care in that place. They were depressed. When they moved to another preschool they were happy almost immediately after the first day. My dentist had her daughter there even before the new owners (but taught by the exact current teachers) and she said that her daughter when she graduated from there couldn't even write her own name!! Avoid this place! I was a busy working mom with crazy scheduling in the medical field and I know that it's rare to find a daycare open so early and close so late like this place but trust me you are better off being a stay at home mom or hire a nanny than leave your kids in this place. read more

I currently have two of my boys go to Parker Montessori and I cant say enough nice things about this place. When you walk into this place you will immediately notice all teachers and staff being very warm and friendly. They definitely are passionate about child care and specialize in the Montessori method of learning. Being passionate brings about a totally different experience for kids/families, and it is very hard quality to find in daycare centers these days.They are very flexible and will work with you if there are any special requests. I love how the classrooms are all so nicely equipped with all kinds of toys/tools for learning. I was very surprised when I heard how some of the teachers have been teaching here for many many years. To know that these people are the ones caring for our children is very comforting. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable school/care for their kids. read more

We have been so happy with Parker Montessori, including the Director, Ms. Anitha, the office Administrator, Ms. Teresa, and the fabulous and caring teachers who have encouraged our 4-year old daughters to grow in so many ways. Ms. Nicole, Ms. Jenny, and Ms. Kelly have all been instrumental in assisting them to grow in their educational journeys, as well as with their social interactions. While it is always challenging to start a routine of getting up early and getting to school on time, it pays off every day when I pick them up from school. The office staff can be frustrating and extremely disorganized. The concept is great and my son had a great teacher that kept us from taking him to a new school. However, after a year and a half, we could not take the disorganization and frustration any longer and moved him to Goddard. What a world of difference in a good way. It was a good decision too because Montessori's best teacher no longer teaches there. read more

Caring. Dedicated. Child focused. When I think of Parker Montessori and the incredible learning and child-care that occurs each day, I think of more than the first three sentences. I think about how much I trust Parker Montessori with not only the care of my children, but with exposing them to learning about science, math, reading, writing, sports, and even empathy. I think of the phone calls home for small reminders, and the hugs after school given out by teachers. I truly can't think of a better place for my children to attend school. Initially, when I put my deposit down, I was told if something came up that I would be refunded the tuition. We changed our minds about placing our infant son in the school (after attending an open house) due to the teacher in the class not being able to speak English clearly and we had a hard time understand her and the lack of response to an email asking further questions about the school. When I talked to the assistant Director she said,"Yes, we've had several complaints about the teacher's English skills however a lot of parents love the teacher." I told her I have no doubt the teacher is a great person, however during the initial years of a child's life, they are listening and learning language skills and I feel more comfortable placing my kid in another daycare where there's not a language barrier. Additionally, the administration is very disorganized and does not return emails and phone calls in a timely manner which concerns me if I am placing my child there. I want to be assured as a parent that if something was going on in the school that I could call and be confident that my calls would be returned. My initial impression of this school is that they just want you money but don't care to answer questions you have. That was not my experience with other daycares that I visited. I was told that I'm not getting my money back for the tuition. She proceeded to tell me there are wait lists to get into this school. I told her if that's the case, then she should have no issues refunding our money and allowing another child to enroll this winter. She was short with me on the phone and quickly ended our phone call. I don't feel like this is the type of experience that I want my son to have. I definitely did not have this experience when I met the Director's at other day cares and they seemed more responsive and open to answering my questions without being defensive. Parker Montessori has been the best decision we have made for our 2 year old! Since she started there in August 2012, her language has increased tremendously, she can count to 20, is now fully potty trained and this is largely due to the wonderful instruction and care that the teachers provide. We currently have her in the toddler classroom and we could not ask for more caring teachers. We had started our daughter at Primrose in Parker and did not feel that it was the best environment for her and drop off was a nightmare. At PM, she literally runs into the classroom every day and does not want to leave when I pick her up! I read one of the recent comments about lack of communication and completely disagree. We are sent weekly emails about what is going with the school and we are given weekly, meticulous reports about what our daughter has been doing during the week. These reports tell us what she ate, her toilet training progress and what activities she does, every single day. Kaitlyn, the office manager is fantastic, she sends out informative emails to all the parents on a regular basis along with keeping the Facebook page up to date. She is also there to greet us every morning and answer any questions we might have. There is also a reader board at the front of the school with all upcoming events. Anitha, who is one of the Directors is fantastic. She gave us our tour and was a big part of our decision to have our child attend the school. She is very caring, patient and truly has the children's best interest at heart. The cost of the school is expensive but it is worth every penny! read more

Parker Montessori Educational Institute (PMEI) has been an extremely positive, fundamental part of our two children's early childhood years. Ages 0-5 are a child's most fundamental time of learning. We started our two girls at age three and our oldest will be completing Kindergarten this spring. After touring several other schools in the south Denver area that claimed to be "Montessori Accredited," this school stood out among its peers. The Administrative staff is highly educated in both traditional and Montessori philosophy of education, are committed to children's learning and run a clean, calm, well organized school that encourages a world of learning. They know all the names of the children are so positive and provide regular parent feedback. All the teachers have long tenures at the school, many teaching for over 20 years. They are warm, engaging, and positive and lead these kids on a journey of lifelong learning. I can overlook things like office staff turnover, and less than stellar communications. The core success lies in their teachers (Ms. Dee and Ms. Georgia) have been A+ for our kids. We chose to continue our oldest through Kindergarten and don't regret the financial investment for a minute. The reading, math, geography, science these kids bring home is astounding at ages four and six. Parker Montessori has been a gift to our family for over three years but we know that the way our kids were first "taught" to learn, to write, to read, to conceptualize, will carry them forward in more traditional school settings. --Jennifer, parent of two students. read more

Our family moved to Parker from New York City, which is renowned to have some of the best child care in the country, but Parker Montessori beats any New York school by a mile! My 2 and 4 year old have been in day care since they were 3 months old in New York, but Parker Montessori is not a day care, it is a school. My children's teachers are truly amazing. We started our 4 year old son and 1 1/2 year old daughter at Parker Montessori 2 months ago. Our son was at another preschool and had attended there since he was 1 year old in a parent- toddler class with me. We decided to start looking for a new school closer to home and one that my daughter could also attend with or without a parent. I came across PM and immediately fell in love with the school and the director. The director took me around the school and in that hour I was there I learned so much! I actually walked out of my tour in tears because I was so happy to have found a place where I thought my children would flourish. To be honest my husband and I didn't know much about Montessori and maybe were against how we thought children learned there. We couldn't have been more wrong. After 2 months my son has shown a huge amount of growth! He went from 4 half days to 5 full days at PM. He loves going to school and always wants to talk to me about his day at pickup. I believe his mind is stimulated in all the right ways! He isn't bored anymore and causing mischief of all kinds. It blows our minds some of the things he says to us and is telling us that he is learning! For me though the first thing I noticed other then his positive attitude is that he no longer talks about T.V. After school he always wants to continue with constructive play. At the other preschool he would immediately want to watch T.V. and all of the time. As for my daughter, well she loves the toddler class and is also growing tremendously! She is there two half days and I would actually love to do 3 days and she loves it so much! We are so thankful for Parker Montessori! read more

Our kids have been going to Parker Montessori for two years now, and we love it. The community of families is wonderful, the teachers are caring and very much invested in the kids' education and happiness, and the staff works with each family on making sure the logistics of childcare are easy to manage. When we moved to Colorado, a very large part of deciding where to live was based on finding the right school for our son. Moving to Parker was in no small measure due to the quality of education provided at Parker Montessori. The staff is outstanding, from the front office to the primary teachers. The focus is truly on teaching children, not just in academic terms, but to be part of the world around them. I've been to two other major daycare chains and can say that Parker Montessori is the best fit for my children and I'm not an easy parent to please. I've seen some of the negative reviews, but most of them are based upon what the place looks like and disappointment with the administration. My review is based upon how well my children are doing. When my oldest daughter first started in the infant room she was shy and timid, and now that she is almost three, she is a happy and confident toddler. The staff at Montessori really care about the children and in my mind that is what matters most. I didn't get that feeling with other daycare facilities. They appeared super clean and organized, but my child was not happy when I dropped her off. At Parker Montessori, they care about the children, and for me the ultimate Yelp reviewer are my children. My son recently started in the infant room and he is also thriving. No place is going to be as perfect as YOU raising your child, but if my children are happy when I drop them off and when I pick them up, then I know that they are being taken care of. Yes, I would love the place to be spotless, for the building to look new, etc., but that isn't what matters. What matters is that the people that work at Montessori care about my children, that my children are having fun learning new things, and that they are growing into independent, confident and compassionate human beings. The other thing that you should know is that once your child attends the preschool Montessori program, they will expose your child to not only addition/subtraction, but to multiplication/division and fractions, as well as analytical thinking tasks. Our son has attended Parker Montessori for almost 13 months, and it is with with a heavy heart that we are leaving, due to a move out of state. Leaving this school will be one of our toughest moments. His time here, from day one, has been nothing but the best. From the amazing personnel at the front, who always greet us with smiles and warmth, and the business staff that are always kind, efficient and helpful. We looked at several different facilities before choosing Parker Montessori. We loved that it was a large room, warm, and welcoming, and filled with teachers that we could immediately see would love our son, and take care of our "precious cargo", when we couldn't. Ms Jola, Ms Sunita, and Ms Elizabeth have been so special to our son, and we are thankful he has had such a great start in the Montessori Curriculum. His needs are always tended to, and he has grown and developed in ways that have surpassed our expectations, and we give much credit to the staff that have helped him grow into the fabulous little boy he is today. Anyone that wants a top notch place for their child to learn and be loved away from home, should have no hesitations choosing this school. We will miss being part of the Parker Montessori family. Both our children have attended Parker Montessori, our youngest still is, and it has been a great experience. Our son graduated from Parker Montessori and went on to public school where he is excelling at his standardized testing. Testing in over the 90th percentile in every category. This is all due to Parker Montessori!! His math skills are far beyond the age requirements. The teachers are kind and compassionate. The environment is safe. The administration has been nothing but kind and accommodating to us for the past almost three years. We are two working parents with very busy schedules and we could not make the days work without Parker Montessori. Thank you! read more

Not impressed. My husband and I went to check the place out. When we arrived we were asked if we had an appointment. We did not. The director was available to show us around. She was very nice. We were taken into the infant room and walked around. The room was very small and narrow. The floors were wood with a tiny 7x6 rug. I didn't feel like that was safe for an infant. The rooms were very cold and had old furniture. There were no cameras in the rooms. I prefer cameras when someone is taking care of my child. I did not feel comfortable leaving me 9week son there. The environment was not welcoming either. After the tour we went into the office to discuss pricing. We sat down in this tiny dirty unorganized office and discussed pricing. When we were told the price i was shocked. Over 1100$ a month, but you have to supply everything for your child (food, diapers, wipes, ect.) I could understand if the place was amazing and asking 1100$, but that wasn't the case. I would not recommend this place. read more

Our child has gone there for 2 years and the teachers are amazing as is the Montessori method that they teach well. My daughter's teacher was truly passionate about teaching and loved all the children and treated them with respect while still running a very organized learning institution. She has moved on to pursue her educational goals so we are not sure what the new teacher will be like. What is not amazing is the administration of the school and the unorganized appearance outside of the classroom. The school could use some updating too. We are staying put for now..... read more

Parker Montessori is amazing! We couldn't be happier with the facility, teachers, and staff. My husband and I were extremely anxious about starting our infant daughter in a daycare. Parker Montessori is anything but a daycare. Parker Montessori is a school that teaches, nurtures, and cares for our daughter. The care our daughter has received in the infant room has been exceptional. The teachers Miss Sunita, Miss Tess, and Miss Tanya are so loving and care for the babies as if they are their own. I am not one to just choose all the highest rating, but I really feel that Parker Montessori IS the best place for my toddler. She is 2 and has been at the school for a year; she goes during the regular school year and the summer and is enrolled full time. She started in the infant program to allow her an acclimation period and to allow the teachers to get an idea of where she was in her development as she really wasn't ready to be in the toddler class yet. Within 2 months she was moved up to the toddler class and she continued to blossom. I am can see the development on an almost daily basis! The teachers genuinely care for each child and the family and they treat each child (and parent) like the individuals that they are. In addition to the wonderful teaching staff, I must admit that I was surprised by the level of interaction that the management/office staff has with the students and parents. The office staff and the co-founders know my kiddo and SHE KNOWS THEM (by name). They know what is going on in our lives and what my daughter is doing in class. I wish that their program educated through grade 12! I cannot say enough great things about this school and the staff. I could go on about the Montessori philosophy and the way that the school exhibits that philosophy but I will just wrap up with thank you, Parker Montessori!! read more

My daughter attended Parker Montessori for almost 11 months. She started out in the infant room, which was a wonderful experience. It was when she moved to the toddler room that things started going downhill. First of all at this age, most parents view this as a day care- we had to pay for before school, after school, AND "year round"; which is a joke because at least once a month the school was closed for in service. Once a month we would have to scramble to get an in-law watch her for the day. At this age it is imperative to have consistency, there were constantly new teachers/assistants/helpers- there were even 3 office managers in the 11 months we were there. Even though they are very eager to show you their Montessori Certification, be sure to ask if the teachers are even certified. I believe that 1 of the 4 my daughter had actually had a certification. Most did not even have a college degree. Teenagers- there were constantly new teenagers especially in the afterschool program. Totally unprofessional. We were spending $1500 a month to have high school students watching our daughter?! While there are some good aspects to this "school", overall it is completely unprofessional, disorganized and overpriced. read more

We have been attending Parker Montessori for 10 months now and absolutely love it. The infant room is such an asset to this place as the room is large, has equipment to help the infants learn to be individuals early in life, and doesn't have bouncers that would allow the teachers to just leave your child in a seat all day like other places we visited. My daughter started in the infant room when she was 6 months old and within a week started crawling. She is now 17 months old and has grown to be an independent helpful individual. She helps me put groceries away, put her dishes in the dishwasher, and put her shoes and jacket on. Ms. Sunita, the infant head teacher, is pretty amazing at her job. She has the classroom system down, which you usually wouldn't expect until the kids are older and can follow instructions, but she is able to get under 16 months old to stop, listen, and follow instructions. When I come in the classroom in the morning, drop off is so organized and she has my daughter sitting at the table eating breakfast before I even leave which helps with the transition as she just waves goodbye as I walk out. Ms. Sunita cares deeply about each of the children and is focused on getting them ready to be successful within the toddler classroom so the transition is as smooth as possible. I cannot thank Ms. Sunita enough for all she is done. I also want to thank Ms. Tess and Ms. Kathleen. The three of them keep the classroom organized and running smoothly. I showed up one day at nap time and couldn't believe the three of them were able to get all 10 kids down around the same time which allowed each child to get a good nap without being disturbed. I am a working mom who was happy going back to work knowing how great my daughter was being taken care of and how much she was developing. Consider this place if you have an infant you are looking for care for. read more

My daughter (6 months) and I visited the Parker Montessori school to take a tour and decide if it would be a good fit. The director, or at least I thought she was, I don't recall her giving me her name or title, asked me to set my daughter down on the infant floor so she could look at a mobile and get a feel for the room. About a minute later a toddler (she had to be 18 months plus) started walking towards my daughter then made a b-line for her and completely walked all over her then fell right on her head. We watched the whole thing unfold quickly. I realize it was an accident and my daughter cried but is otherwise okay. The thing that bothered me the most was why this girl, who was clearly a toddler, was in the infant room to begin with. She was leaps and bounds more developed than the other babies and was walking, sometimes partially running, all over the room. I can't help but think she is actually a danger to the other babies in the room. And before we left the room she almost ran over another baby before one of the teachers caught her...clearly the incident with my daughter is not a one time occurrence. I am not sure why this little girl was in with the infants, maybe it has to do with space in the toddler program because I learned that the girl had only been in the class for a couple of days. Maybe they threw her in with the infants to fill the last available infant spot in hopes that there will be an opening in the toddler room soon. This is an assumption on my part but the writing on the wall was clear...this toddler poses threat to the other infants and she was clearly not in the proper environment/class. Also, because the toddler was all over the place, she really had free reign and none of the teachers paid much attention to her, except for when they needed to intervene because she was posing a risk to the other babies. My daughter was there for 20 minutes and managed to get stampeded by a toddler...not exactly the safe environment I was hoping for. Based on the reviews it is evident parents like this facility, and I was really hoping this Montessori would be a good fit. My goal in writing this review is not to deter parents from the facility but to make sure they know how old the other babies are in the infant program. There is a huge difference in the abilities of a 6 month old versus an 18+ month old and I think the school should consider reevaluating their decision to place a toddler with infants. read more
