We are so impressed with Orchard Valley. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Each of the classrooms have bright colors and lots of toys. Communication is great, as they send a weekly email and even daily updates on how your child did. The one and only reason this isn't a five star review is there seems to be staffing issues. I know this isn't the teachers' fault, but from time to time they struggle to have enough teachers in each classroom and can sometimes combine classes if a teacher is sick or has a day off. Otherwise, I would highly recommend Orchard Valley Learning Center.

That was actually not the case at all. I was told on Friday morning by Janie that there was "definitely availability" for both of my children. I explained our special circumstances and that we needed Orchard Valley specifically because of one of their employees. I was told that I would be able to start my children the next week and there was no mention of a deposit. When I called Monday morning, I was told that there were no spaces, it was my fault, and I was hung up on. So yes, my review is accurate, and proven more so by the fact that no one involved has taken any responsibility or offered any solution, yet they have found the time to try to defend themselves on a public forum. If there are any specific accusations that you "Jason" would like to deny I would be happy to address them... Bottom line... I've never even been in direct contact with this facility, or in contact at all with their parent company, and as you can see they are not at all interested in helping their parents or students.

The care these educators have for the children is evident through their actions. The elements used to teach is amazing and relatable to my child. I often hear my child counting in Spanish while we drive home from school. Ms. Vanessa is our teacher and she is just the best. She expects the kids to act a certain way and they don't want to disappoint her because they love her so much. In the interest of transparency, current and prospective parents should know that those steps included having their attorney at Goodspeed and Merrill send my family a cease‑and‑desist letter threatening a defamation lawsuit in conjunction with a fabricated CPS report if I did not immediately remove my review. The CPS allegations they threatened to file were created by flipping our concerns about the school back onto us; even if those allegations had been true, they still would not constitute child abuse. I'll be attaching the threatening document they sent so families can understand exactly what is going on. My review is based entirely on my firsthand experience. Any parent who wants to understand the situation more fully is welcome to reach out. Original Post: I'm writing this as a parent who keeps receipts- emails, timelines, photos, everything. And based on that documentation, I want other families to know what we experienced here. Our son came home with a bad bruise on his back, yet we heard nothing from the school. When brought to their attention, the school said they documented, but they repeatedly refused to give us the incident report. This wasn't an isolated issue. When our son caught a virus the school had emailed about a week earlier, the owner later denied the presence of the virus -- despite us having the original message. We also discovered missed diaper changes in our son's log that led to a severe diaper rash. From my perspective, this daycare is more focused on protecting its image than being honest with parents or providing consistent care. Please do your homework before enrolling -- ask for policies in writing and trust your instincts.

The kindergarten teacher my daughter got actively bullied my daughter over lack of ability to read. My daughter is still bitter, luckily that teacher retired, she was never punished for her behavior. Luckily her first grade teachers actually cared and she was quickly diagnosed with dyslexia. The over all lay out works well, and there were many good teachers. The gifted teacher was amazing and made my daughters life and my sons life much easier. Over all the school was a good place for my kids to grow up, but it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth that the teacher who builder my daughter didn't face any punishment.

She would constantly complain to me about all the boys in the class and would give time outs without explaining why to the kid; so not giving him the opportunity to improve or to know what's expected of him and would NOT take any action against BULLYING/bad behavior in kids. (She said she wants my 3 year old kid to fight the bully.) The director while did take action against a bully; we had to endure 2 stressful months of constant back and forth and we had figure out what was going on from my 3 year old kid. The current class teacher was unhelpful and would tell my kid that the bully did not hit him even if he says to me he was hit. The current director was very friendly with my hubby and would give me cold shoulder and totally ignore me and my kid when he was with me. So my hubby had to do all the conversation regarding bullying with her from his very busy schedule. It was very petty, childish and unprofessional behavior from the director.
