    Last February I emailed Parks Motors about a used Chevrolet Sonic on Cars.com, but it was no longer…read moreavailable, so one of their sales consultants helped me find a 2015 Chevrolet Trax LT I liked at a price that fit my budget, which was negotiated from its listed price of $10,991 to $10,200 that I can verify through saved texts. I put $5,000 down. Last week, I was looking at paying off that loan, but it was more than $10,000, which was strange considering the selling price and my down payment. Parks had changed the selling price on the paperwork to $11,991 and added $2,800 in fees! In 2013, I had a hypoxic brain injury while under general anesthesia. It impaired my executive brain function and especially affected my working memory. I still have solid critical thinking skills, but I can be forgetful and overlook details. Because Social Security is the primary part of my income, I discussed this when arranging financing, and I talked about about why I have a disability. It's incredibly shady that they changed the price and added fees on the paperwork without discussing any of it with me. They really bamboozled me. I've contacted Parks to see if they'll make it right, and I've shared screenshots of the oroginal listing price and the negotiated price in the text messages, but they've ignored me. On top of all of this, the car I bought has needed over $5,500 worth of repairs! It was a complete lemon! I'm going to file a complaint with the Kansas Attorney General's office and the FTC, and I'm contacting disability advocacy organizations and an attorney to look into next steps. This purchase from Parks Chevrolet has created horrible stress and is ruining me financially!

    DO NOT PURCHASE WITH DON HATTAN!!…read more I have been a service customer with Don Hattan for the past 2 years and decided to do a trade in. I am completely disappointed with the sales department. I had purchased a new vehicle with them and came to a point where this vehicle just wasn't an option for me. I tried for 2 weeks to get a hold of the finance department to cancel warranties. The fact it took them two weeks to get back to me is unacceptable. once I received a call back, they deferred me to sales department about trading in the new vehicle. which I work for a dealership so I am aware how cancelling warranties would take away money from them. But at the end of the day, it shouldn't matter what takes away from the sales department it should always be they do what is in the best interest of the customer. I spoke with my salesman, and I discussed that the bronco was not an option to own any longer due to personal issues. I clearly discussed that rolling over a large amount of negative equity is not an option for me. Now I understand when trading in before the vehicle is paid off some negative equity would be rolled into a new loan. Completely understand. But rolling over 20,000 in negative equity is outrages. I mentioned I was looking for a lower more affordable payment. His recommendation was to roll over the 20,000. I went ahead and reminded him that's not an option for me. His second recommendation was to buy the 22,000 Mazda and also pay on the Bronco! So therefore, have two vehicle loans. Clearly, he wasn't understanding my needs or just didn't care. I then told him that's obviously not an option and I don't see how that helps my situation, if anything it worsens my situation. I thanked him for his time, but I will be cancelling my warranties and to have the finance department contact me. I did not receive a call from finance nor was I able to reach them. So, then the sales manager contacted me asking if there was anything he could do to help so I referred him to my previous text messages I had with his salesman. So then I asked if he could personally call me to discuss further and come to a conclusion that is in the best interest for myself. I've been currently waiting two days for a call from the sales manager still no contact. Typical from them. They just keep ignoring me or telling me he's busy! So since Finance department never contacted me I had to contact my warranty company and cancel directly with them. I do not appreciate the tip toeing around and avoiding me and the fact they aren't willing to keep me as a customer. The lack of communication, understanding and avoidance is ridiculous. I will not be going back for service or purchasing a vehicle, nor will I recommend anyone to this dealership.
