I feel that Chiropractic Wellness Associates is amazing…read more 1. During my first visit Dr. Tony told me that it might be a little different than other chiropractic offices I have been to. As someone else stated they first start with stim and heat, then massage and stretching, and finally adjustment. I do admit that at some points it is a little painful/uncomfortable, but there is purpose and afterwards this combination my body feels way better that just a simple adjustment. A visit takes about a full hour. 2. As others have also mentioned that this place does not need regular visits to be a patient 3. They are pretty flexible with same day appointments if they have a open availability - you do not need to make appointments weeks ahead 4. They are doing some construction, it is the tiniest bit messy, but they are doing it to make the practice better and there never are construction noises during a session 5. Dr. Tony does have a very cute, quiet, and friendly dog. She comes up to me and asks me to play. If you decide you don't want to play she doesn't beg and just walks away. This is a huge plus for me being a dog lover. I feel they must clean up after her pretty often because it never smells like dog nor there is fur everywhere. 6. Dr. Tony is very easy to talk to. Some doctors I have felt like a nuisance asking questions, but I have never felt that here at this office. He listens and gives thoughtful responses. I highly recommend for anyone to go here.

Dr. Newman evaluated me and came up with a plan to work on fixing my spine, including resetting my atlas vertebrae. The results were immediately noticeable and motivated me to stay on track through the entire 12 week process. I can't express how much it helped me. I sleep through the night now. The numbness I experienced in my neck and back is gone. It positively affected things that I though were unrelated like my pelvic floor issue. I was having major shoulder problems-my left arm would just drop like I'd had a stroke, lots of pain in the front left shoulder. I spent 1.5 years with 2 different local shoulder doctors, MRI's, MRI's w/ dye contrast, X-Rays, weeks and weeks w/ PT, more weeks w/ a Pain Mgmt Clinic, 3 shots of cortisone...still in horrible pain and unpredictable weakness and dropping of my left arm. I couldn't even lift my arm above shoulder height without pain. Finally I went for a massage w/ Carol, massage therapist in Dr. Szekley's office. He looked at my X-Rays and MRI's for about 2 seconds each film. I was getting sarcastic that he wasn't taking my situation seriously. He said, "I don't think it's your shoulder, I think it's your neck." I had plenty of neck movement with no pain and just about lost it with my frustration. He told me very specifically that all of my symptoms pointed to neck issues, specifically between the 5th and 6th cervical vertebrae, probably with a bone spur. I was thinking after all this time w/ shoulder specialists-why did he think he could diagnose....as if reading my mind, he said, "for $10.00 I'll X-ray your neck right now and you'll know for sure." I said, "For $10.00 you're on!" Sure enough-in a few minutes, the X-Ray was done and there it was- a V-shaped space between the 5th and 6th cervical vertebrae and bone spur pinching a nerve. My neck was very straight-no curve to it. He has a neck-correcting device in his office that helps to correct the curve of your neck. Bingo-in less than a year-all pain and weakness was gone. By recreating the neck curve, the pinching of the nerve was gone. I'm back to working out with weights 5x weekly. Now I go to Dr Andy for treatments for my lower back. I injured my back in 4 places when still in my 20's. I need periodic treatments every few weeks to keep it stable, but I'm back to doing things I couldn't do in my late 20's. I'm now 66! One happy camper!
