We asked if they could make them faster. The young man apologized nicely but the older lady owner/manager stepped in and said rudely that's all they could do. She did not apologize let alone offer us a discount for their mistake. We understand they were busy and people make mistakes but there is no excuse for treating customers so rudely after their clear error. Finally, I settled on a ham and cheese croissant and a cherry and white chocolate scone. My husband had a raspberry danish. I did get a drip coffee in the end. The ham and cheese croissant was crisp and flaky with the perfect balance of hame and gruyere. I have not had a scone this good. Ever. Not even in Ireland! If you "do not like scones," these are worth the try! We snacked on the pastries in the car so along with Lake Michigan sand, my car now has lots of flakes of our delicious pastries.
