I have been to about 5 vets in the area for my 2 GSDs (2yr old & 3 yr old), and this is the best place Ive ever been! Dr. Shultz, vet tech Brittany, and the front desk EXCEEDED my expectations. The whole team does a great job making my pets feel comfortable. When I addressed concerns with my pets, Dr.Shultz did her best to communicate/address my concerns and recommendations. This team truly cares about my pets and working with their temperament, providing treatment options were in our budget, and helping my dogs get the care they need without having to sacrifice their comfortability. I, being a very anxious pet mom would email the front desk with lots of questions. But they always responded quickly and took my concerns seriously. Bar none 5 +! I appreciate Dr. Meadows & the staff with mine and my wife's experiences have been very good and the bedside manners are very very empathetic. We did have a slight mix up one year with a pet's cremation, but the business was quick to give us refund when i offered "no", but they insisted. Additionally, we are having a nasty flea infestation. The business is that good when they take time to respond. What I mean by this is they are careful to research and respond appropriately with the best solution. My experience with Dr. Meadows is she cares for the families because she understands the pets are at the heart of feelings...and it shows how well she leads the business. Anyway, I thought i was going to have to wait the next day for a recommendation for some flea repellant. I was surprised to get a response sooner than the next day. I cannot imagine the stressors can be when helping customers, but they manage to do it. But I think the core reason is they understand the love and they just get it. Highly recommend! Yesterday we had an emergency with our dog and needed him to be seen right away. I called a few places here in Vacaville they were not friendly and they could not see us but one of the places recommended that we call Parkway animal Center and I'm glad we did. When I called, I spoke with one of the owners Alex and she was so nice. She told me how they had plenty of doctors, that we could be seen the same day, and took all the information she needed over the phone. When we arrived, we were greeted with the friendly staff and were taken to our room immediately. One of the technicians named Courtnee was so friendly. She got us checked in and set up to see the doctor. We saw Dr. Jakober. She was wonderful. She took very good care of our doggie and us. They did a full examination and made sure that they answered all of the questions we had. Sent us home with the necessary medication and we were able to check out and pay for everything in the room. They made sure to give us an estimate so we were aware of what we could potentially have to pay, which I thought was very considerate. Overall, our experience was lovely. Went here for a second opinion for my sick dog! Just didn't think the first vet took my pups issues seriously. Saw Dr Meadows! She was amazing. The care and compassion she had seeing my pup and really explaining things in plain terms. She helped with the initial issue and is having us come back to deal with the other ongoing issues. I appreciate her giving us options that fit into our budget and working our way up to more invasive procedures. They give estimates up front which is a huge plus for me. I will definitely be back and she will more then likely be our vet from here on out! The facility is bigger and very clean. I appreciate that they have a bigger area for you to sit with your pups, even though it was not busy when we went so we got right into the room. My fur baby has a collapsed trachea and I took her in because she had a cough that was not normal. Dr. Meadows listened with care as I explained what the situation was. We have heard about this place from multiple sources who take their dogs here for B&C and day care! We were a little nervous dropping off our dog, Pepper who usually stays with a relative. We loved how easy it was to get her a spot here and how easy it was to contact staff. We notified them of her allergy to grass and notified, they use fake grass which is a plus. When we got there, we were showed where she would stay. It was very clean and the facility looked well managed. It was comforting knowing that they provide grooming services and it's attached to a vet! The staff at drop off were very friendly. 5 days later, we arrived to pick her up. We were very nervous because this is her first time away at a place like this. We were helped instantly and made pick up very easily. While a staff member had us wait, two other staff members walked by and asked us if we needed help. We informed we were just waiting to pick up a dog. They knew instantly who we were picking up. I love how they are all aware of what's going on. They all have a way to communicate with each other via radio which is comforting as well. Staff informed us of how she did and notified us that she did really well and just wanted to play and get lots of love! We love how attentive the staff is and we will be taking her here again if needed some place to stay! We appreciate the staff and how welcoming and loving they were. We started going to this veterinarian center after our original boarding kennel, ABC Animal Hospital, abruptly closed without notice.I asked for a recommendation and they mentioned Parkway. I made an appointment and was immediately surprised how clean and huge this place was, the staff were very friendly and attentive. My German Shepherd, Ryan, needed his puppy shots and they offered to cover the scale with towels as a precaution. The vet techs are wonderful, they took to Ryan quickly even though the tech was very petite (no disrespect but more of a compliment). Since they offered boarding, it was very convenient to have everything under one computer system. All their vaccination records were in one system and if they needed something, it was just next door. We put both our dogs into day camp but our Taffy only passed their assessment...we have to work on Ryan and soon they'll be in day camp once or twice a week. My pup LOVES the doggie daycamp!!! He is so excited when we arrive and the staff is so friendly and you can tell how much they love dogs! My pup is so tired when I pick him up after a day of play. I plan on taking him once a week for socialization and exercise. They hours are great and I don't feel pressure after work to rush to get him bc they are open until 8. They have a week special if you bring your pup all week but I wish they had other packages to save on the cost. (Like a package of 10 sessions at a discounted price)I'd bring him more often if there was something that would save a bit of money. If you want the ultimate pet care experience, this is your place! I'm grandma to two dachshunds and take them to their appointments when my daughter has to work. This place has never failed to be clean, organized, and has the most pleasant staff! When making the initial appointment for 7 year old Frankie, I spoke to Rebecca who was so kind, professional, and understanding when I had to call back a couple of times to reschedule. She even called me back to ensure that she had taken down my request correctly. On day-of-appointment, we encountered Fran, at the intake desk, who was cheerful, sweet, humorous, and ensured that everything that we needed done was correctly stated on the chart. She even came in at the end of the visit to ask if there was anything else that was needed. Then we worked with Brittney (Tech) who administered the scheduled shots and work up, prior to the doctor's wellness check. I mentioned that Frank might not be so happy with her for those shots and she might want a muzzle but she said that a muzzle wasn't needed. Well, she was right and he did fine! And I'm sure it's from his trust in this team and the amount of love and cheese that he gets during his visits! Now, I'm still dealing with allergies with my poor dog, but I am changing diet and staying on the meds the last doctor prescribed before I go back again. Dr. Knowles is so into her own family and pets she doesn't care about yours. She should have done blood test and e rays on my 12 yr old Bella before shooting her up with a rabie shot. So you all know, the rabie vaccine can be waived if your pet has a heart condition and is older in age. My poor Bella suffered a stroke or heart attack 13 days later after the rabie shot. If i could give -10 stars i would! This place is awful to board your animal. I have been a long time customer when this place was called Camp Sunset, which is sad because this place used to be great. My first bad experience w them was my dog boarding for 4 days. I gave them the food my dog needs and found that they underfed him after giving them simple instructions. I complained to Laura who apologized. Ok...i understand accidents can happen. What happened today is inexcusable. I boarded my dog for 2 weeks for my trip to Europe. My dog had diarrhea for 2 days prior to me coming home...i was not informed of this by them, but by my friend who came by to see him there. The thought was that he was stressed which could be true, but they didn't do anything about it...just allowed him to poop and poop. When i came to pick him up which was 9:10 Am he had poop all over his back and paws...dried on from an accident that happened during the night. When i walked in the staff knew he had the accident but left him dirty and were talking at the front desk. They did offer to clean him prior to me getting him but it was a little too late! This made me think...how long would they have let him sit in his own poop if i hadn't come to get him? My friend had told them i was coming today to get him. When i got him home...he wasn't peeing...and went directly over to his water bowl and drank about half of it...poor thing is dehydrated...i called my vet and he will be checked out and given subdermal fluids today. I attempted to get a hold of the leadership but no one was available to speak to me..i did get names and will be writing an email to them regarding this treatment. I have also written a letter to the BBB about this business. If you love your dogs please don't EVER come here. They are attached to a Vet hospital but didn't care enough to consult them. Follow up: Took him to Vet...had to be given IV fluids, antibiotics and is treated for an eye infection he didn't have prior to leaving him there. All this cost 200.00 plus the 750.00 i paid to have them neglect him while there. read more

Misdiagnosed I'd give 0, but not an option. My dog was misdiagnosed by a vet who even offered to put him to sleep. I do feel I was profiled and the vet made an assumption that I could not afford the care for what she misdiagnosed as a luxaded eye. I've had my dog since 8wks old and he made 15yrs Feb 2023. The vet told me she could do the procedure on his eye cheaper than a specialist and referred me to a specialist in Vacaville when she realized money wasn't an issue. I took my boy to UC Davis since they did an amazing job in 2017 when he had spinal surgery. UC Davis diagnosed my dog with an eye infection and discharged him with meds. I hope this never happens to anyone. This was a lot of worry and stress on me and my family and friends. We trust that our animals are in good hands when going to the vet. I am thankful that I could take my dog to UD Davis Emergency to get the correct diagnosis. read more

I'm only reviewing the veterinary section of this business. My father took his three dogs here for an annual check up in December. Two if the dogs were diagnosed with kidney problems and were ordered to start eating a special diet. Fine, my dad complied with the vets recommendation. The oldest out of the three was given a clean bill of health. In February, we notice the older dog was coughing at night, my dad wanted to make sure this was not heart problems or something else serious. So Parkside was will to see the dog within a week. My dad takes the dog to the appointment, they ran a heart test but claimed there is no heart problems but her labs showed something in her liver. He had to take her back 2 more times for lab work because they wanted to make sure it wasn't this or that and everything came out normal in the second test. The third lab was run on 3/22/23, my dad never received a call on the results. Meanwhile we noticed her chest had expanded, when we weighted her, she had gain 1 1/2 lbs since her last visit, this is a small chihuahua so that much weight is alarming. I called the vet and my dad called the vet twice, no response. Nothing, luckily for the dog I was able to find a nice vet, who was willing to see her right away. Turns out she had water in her lungs, she is now on some heart pills and will be seen in two weeks for a follow up. So if you want to spend a-lot of money on labs, then go with Parkside. But my dad is now going to go with some else who will respond. read more
