Morgan was running an hour behind when I got there and she had left her appointment book at home so she didn't know who I was or what I was supposed to be getting with her. When I finally got in her chair an hour later she admitted that she hadn't brought supplies with her to do any colors besides blond. She ended up having to borrow some color from another one of the stylists. Long story short, the color she gave me looks like a bad home box-dye accident. It was supposed to be a dark auburn, but it turned out this unnatural cherry cola. She told me it would tone down after a few washes, but it hasn't. It's still terrible. She doesn't do refunds. She said I could come in for her to fix it, but I live out of town. I wouldn't really trust her to fix it anyway. I asked her to tone down the brightness halfway through the process and whatever she did didn't help. To top things off, she didn't put a towel around my neck when she washed the dye out and the collar of one of my favorite shirts is now stained with red splotches. I would not recommend her, and I would absolutely never go back to her. read more

Kiersten did my hair last week. We had scheduled, she cancelled and rescheduled again. I was understanding because I know things can happen in life we have no control over. When I arrived Kiersten was nice with a bubbly personality. However, she had failed to ask me what I wanted to do with my hair before the appointment and wasn't sure we had enough time in the schedule. I showed her my desired outcome and she assured me that we could get my hair to a good place during the appointment. We cut my hair first, which went well. She understood what I wanted and did a great cut in a few minutes. Which is why I gave her the 2 stars. During my appointment, Kiersten was incredibly unprofessional. She talked about how being so messy was a part of who she is, had me hold the box of foils during my service, joked about cheating on her boyfriend, made several comments about how she could charge $500 for this service in LA (in LA, we expect the customer service & the actual service to be perfect, so.. doubtful). She dropped bleach on my eyebrow, got hair all over my clothes, and insisted that messy was her "style". Kiersten's "assistant" came in midway though the appointment, it was her first day. The "assistant" had no experience in the industry, and was actually a film student. She burnt my head with a blow dryer. I tried to be understanding here. It wasn't the assistants fault that she was given as task she hadn't been trained or prepared for. My results: I give her a photo of a cool bright blonde with shadow roots, what I got was gray hair. I figured that the toner was in too long and that it would rinse out some and give my hair the look I asked for. I was wrong. What I got was yellow and gray hair. Which isn't cute. I called to ask for a refund for the color only. Kiersten refused. She proceeded to blame me for the way my hair looks. "It's your shampoo" (I use professional shampoo and conditioner) "it's your water"... I washed my hair ONCE. Clearly she was being defensive. She offered to redo the color, but I insisted that I would prefer my normal hair gal fix the mess she left. The in-house Aesthetician, Dorothy, is amazing at her craft. She offered great advice on skincare. She also runs a great lash promo for Mondays. I highly recommend you check her out. She books up fast. She also does bridal makeup appointments. WOW! All her brides look amazing. Her room is an oasis from the hustle and bustle. Very serene and carefully thought out. My mom took me here today. I will be honest., I am cheap. I usually walk to the corner beauty salon that offers a 12 dollar hair cut every 6 months or so and call it a day. So this was a treat. Mom offered to take me here whenever I came into town and needed a cut. I just may take her up on it. The ambiance is nice - I like the music they play (no teener bopper crap mind you, it's got a mostly instrumental french feel). It smells nice in there too, also a plus, esp for a hair salon. Nice layout of the place, there is artwork on display and for sale all around. Tony says he switches it out every 4 months or so, so every visit could be different. The haircut was great, Tony really knows what he is doing and takes his time. He does a dry cut in case you are wondering. My mom got her hair colored. They also did a good job with that. When they wash your hair, they give you a nice little head massage, extra bonus. Mom paid 50 dollars for my haircut, thank you mom. But I don't think that is too outrageous. He did a nice job and it needed a cut. He showed me how the 12 dollar Chinese place had actually cut my hair quite crooked.... woops.... Now it is straight. Thanks Tony! read more
