It was a great experience when we went! Crowded but a lot of fun. Would like more options and longer season if ever possible

My husband and I have only been going to the drive-in for about three years, but what fun.

This is an amazing way to bring your family back in time. This is a local mom and pop shop where…read moreyou can find out what's playing online, or you can literally call in to a recorded message with their show times. I'm excited about this because you get great service and it feels as if you are walking 50 years into the past. We've been to this drive-in many times. Like all drive-ins, they offer back to back specials, and start as soon as it gets dark. They have a real concessions stand with burgers, fries, candy, and soda. Their projectors seem a little dated, and at one point, there must have been about 3 others. The audio is extremely crisp. The audio transmitter they use punches out enough gain to really make you feel the movie through the sound. Some of that is my audio system in the car, but you can't reproduce good quality sound without the signal. They seem to accommodate only one showing at a time. There is no substantial lighting in the parking lot where the cars park, so get your spot early. We brought a little hibachi grill, and cooked by our car. Lots of space to throw out chairs in front of your car. It can get crowded for sure, but everyone shares space well. We watched Moana and Dr Strange 2 days after the release of the first movie. My costs were $17.00 for 2 adults and 1 child for two movies. We don't usually purchase the food here, because we make our own, and bring it with us. We normally do subs or pizza and water bottles. It's not hard to see the value of time out with your family. This builds great memories and is something that I don't see will be around in the future. Please support them and see it while you can. They accept cash and CC/debit.

Missed first 15 minutes of the movie as cars were still being admitted and parking. Traffic getting in was terrible! Police were called!! Getting in or out in an emergency would be impossible. Scary! Not a safe place due to being unable to leave as road was blocked by open tail gates and cars. Was literally TRAPPED until intermission. Prices are nearly competitive with indoor theaters without any of the politeness of other customers and amenities.

Boise Classic Movies rents space at the Egyptian Theatre to bring Boise amazing classic films. I've…read morehad the pleasure of seeing their presentations of Indiana Jones, Grease, Labyrinth, The Princess Bride, 16 Candles, ET, and Young Frankenstein--so much fun! What I love about the series is that, not only are you afforded the opportunity to see classic films on the big screen (in the case of ET? Nothing better than the bicycle scene on the big screen! Seriously!), but you also get to see that film in a theater full of people who love it as much as you do! People cheer the heroes, boo the villains, sometimes shout lines ("Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."), and the whole thing usually ends in applause. Grease even turned into a bit of a singalong (Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee...). Boise Classic Movies also arranges to bring in a bar during their films, so you can get a glass of wine or local craft beer (Payette Brewing's Mutton Buster Brown was on tap the last time I was there!). The Egyptians concessions are also open for the usual popcorn/candy/soda fare. They even gather nominations on their website if there's a classic film you're just dying to see on the big screen. Once they gather the nominations, you can go on their site and vote for your favorite. I'm looking forward to end of November/December as I understand they're primed to do a whole Christmas series of classic films!! Love it! Get to it!!

Regardless of the night they always have the best old school movies and the people that attend these events are usually really cool and sometimes a bit kooky which makes the experience all the better.

My husband and I both love and grew up watching Toy Story movies and were so excited to watch the new one with our kids. We had high hopes but it was apparent after the first 20 minutes we were not going to be able to stay. I tried walking with my baby but she began crying and I didn't want to be "those people" so we decided to leave. I was the one year olds first movie and only the second for my 2 year old. I thought it would be worth a shot to ask the manager if they offered any discount or something to try and come back and watch it again, with no real expectations of it being offered because I mean we knew the risk lol. But the manager was so kind and gave us free tickets to return! It was such a sweet and kind gesture and I really appreciated it. We will definitely be loyal customers to this theater from now on

So we were just floating. And then the individuals that came in and paid on site were also assigned seats, which the computer new my seat arrangement and chose to not accommodate for that. Overall a rocky start to our experience. The movie itself was great and the seats were nice aside from the creaking. The sound was also not properly calibrated for the previews and movie itself.
