We met up with a group of boaters and very much enjoyed our stay here. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. There was room to park our boat. The people were friendly and accommodating. We look forward to going back

Extremely professional and down right hospitable , these guys go above and beyond to supply true satisfaction indeed! Here, you will find many different log cottages complete with a full kitchen (flat top stove) an upstairs loft for the kids, full bathroom, and a cozy, charming ambiance that is second to non. Before I forget to mention, first and foremost, the place is SPOTLESS. I was amazed...refreshing, huh? Heather, the camp manager is easy to find, she's the blushing new bride who is always wearing a big smile on her face and just as accommodating and friendly as can be. Folks, I seriously enjoyed myself here and took notice that the other families and couples thoroughly did as well. I urge you to stop and see for yourselves! I bet you too will be a 'Happy Camper'!!! LOL!

That was the reason I rented the cabin so I could sleep in while my boyfriend gets up early. I use to work in hospitality management and I find this remarkable! Now that's good management if you want repeat business! I plan on returning again. Sharon & George

Booking this site online was a breeze using the KOA App, in this day and age it's nearly impossible…read moreto book a site on a holiday weekend especially with only a few days notice unless by happenstance you score one because of a cancellation. I decided to come here to celebrate the July 4th weekend first because of the availability, it's proximity of my home and certainly because of the beautiful riverside location. I've driven through this campground several times before booking to see the accommodations. I agree with other reviewers most of the sites are pretty close together this is especially true for a Class A MotorCoach. The site we reserved was a back-in site along the tree line so there was some partial shade and even though the sites were gravel they did offer a level and mostly compacted pad. The location of the utilities were somewhat close to the neighbors and the sewer connections were a little closer to the awning side of our RV than I would of liked but the connections were positive and I never detected any odors. The 50 amp electrical service was stable and the fresh water quality and pressure were good. The old saying is you can't pick your neighbors and although for the most part RVers are usually friendly and courteous but some can be a little less than ideal - some just don't understand common campground etiquette, one would hope this is simply out of ignorance and not intentional but either way this is when you hope the campground management team steps up without a request especially when it's a rules violation, anyway it wasn't a deal breaker, just annoying. The close proximity of the campsites probably escalates the frustration of these minor infractions which would otherwise go unnoticed, I somewhat expected some of this when I saw how close the sites were from each other. I was overall okay with the entire experience, the accommodations met our expectations, the on-site restaurant and bar were a positive, the campground was well maintained, the location next to the river makes up for a lot of mis-cues and since the agenda is to relax and enjoy most sins are forgiven. I definitely would come back but I'd try and request my site instead of being assigned a spot without input. I think the per day price is a little steep but not outrageous by any means...

Some of the slips are among the RVs camping here. This was our first time at a "commercial" campground. We usually camp at state parks. The woman that manages this place is real nice and helped me out. I forgot some refrigerated medication at home; had my sister-in-law ship it but could not get to the office before closing time. She put the padded envelope in the late arrival box so we use our code to get it when we got back from Hollywood Studios. The girls really enjoyed the pool each night. They said the showers were really nice too. The maintenance people dropped off a picnic table the same day we requested one. Trash pickup service is every morning. Just set your bag out by the street and they will pick it up and carry it to the dumpster for you. There is a store with all your camping needs. I bought some sewer hookup enhancements that I didn't know I needed. Other than these items I mentioned, we didn't really spend all that much time in the campground, "camping" like we usually do. We used it for a base camp and spent all our time gone to the beaches, Disney parks, water parks and eating out in Orlando. Review #500

They resemble the Tiny House trend you read so much about in Miami; they are tiny and they are houses, and they are super-cute. I really enjoyed staying in mine. If you are thinking about RV parks as disorganized, dirty and depressing places, Lake in the Forest will surprise you. It is immaculate, everything is well maintained and it feels consistently like a good part of town. There are a lot of nice places around the park where you can contemplate and enjoy nature. The place was almost empty when I visited so there was unlimited peace and quiet to enjoy. I would actually say it was a bit too peaceful and quiet. I didn't realize until almost time to leave that there was an active social center in the middle of the place that might have been interesting. Perhaps it was having just come from Disney, where it is impossible to get lost for more than five minutes without being legally blind, but it would have been nice to see a few signs pointing me towards favorite places within the property. There was a notebook in the house with lists of addresses of things to do, but it would have been nice overall to have more detailed descriptions of possible activities. As it turns out, the right thing to do is to ask the staff, who had an encyclopediac store of information when asked and could not have been more cordial. Some of the RVs are decorated with lights and effects in ways reminding me of Burning Man or Love Burn if it had been done on a really strict budget. The clientele are entirely pickup and RV folks. Hardly anyone had cars. I had my new-to-me pre-owned Mercedes and felt a touch out of place, the city slicker in the country, almost like I was invading a world I didn't quite understand. That was silly of me and amused me more than anything, but this is definitely not Miami. The few people I met were very nice, and the owner was exceptionally helpful, pointing out sights I would enjoy and showing me her own personal 80 acres of nature. I knock off a star for two things :The gate procedure and the checkout procedure. The office shuts down at 4:00pm and they close the gate allowing entry into the park. After that to enter or exit you need to get out of your car, release it, return to your car, drive through it and then close it again. So it feels like you are trapped in or shut out. The owner tells me that the gate serves its purpose of preventing pesky neighborhood kids and the like from coming in and annoying everyone, but there's no question it made me feel a bit alienated from the place. They intend to replace it with an electric gate eventually and that should solve the problem. Checkout requires that customers clean out the room, bring the sheets to the main cabin, take out the trash, wash dishes, empty and wipe out refrigerator, sweep the place clean and so on. This is a lot of physical labor for someone for whom that is, well, not his strong suit. They charge you a $60 fee if you don't comply. With my complete lack of domestic engineering talent this is not very hospitable. I wouldn't mind paying $30 but $60 just seems excessive. WiFi, while available, did not work well during my visit. I have Verizon's Unlimited cellphone plan and that worked fine for my stay. I simply tethered my computer and iPad with the phone and had fine functional access, despite the remote location. If you want to use the WiFi, they have several different networks with different passwords for each one. So you might want to program each one individually into your devices. A pain, but having all of them accessible would probably make it easier to find a functioning network. At $350 per week, I felt the value for money was outstanding. The place is pleasant, relaxing and very well kept up.
