Called two days ago to see if they could change the lens on my sunglasses . I believe that I spoke to Melissa and after a brief period on hold she thought they could . I came the following day and was greeted by Melissa who was extremely pleasant and she took my glasses and lens out back and when she returned they had installed the new lenses and tightened up the frames. My opthomologist sent me to Parrelli to try contact lenses prior to having cataract surgery. I visited PArrelli 3 or 4 times and each time there was a long wait and when I did get to be with Jonathan he got involved with other customers while I was waiting for him. I guess he tries to please everybody without regard to his schedule. Finally, after the exams he was to send a report to the opthomologist with his findings. Despite several reminder calls over about 3months leaving message from me and the optholomolgist's office the report never appeared. The last contact was with Jonathan calling me once to remind him of the diagnosis. I wasn't available at that time and he agreed to calling me later that day which never happened. And there is still no report. Maybe Parrelli is a good business but a total failure for my needs. read more

Thank you to these sweet ladies for coming in clutch today. We are in town for my birthday and I forgot my contacts at home. The other places I called were not very nice or helpful but I was happy to hear a kind voice on the other side who was very quick to help. I was having a bit of a rough day so we actually got there a little bit after closing but they (Manager & Elisa) were waiting for us, Elisa was able to accommodate my needs and sympathize with my situation and get me some trial contacts which I'm so grateful for!! Best practice around. The doctors here are friendly and thorough. Kathy the office administrator is so friendly and helpful--I've known her for decades now and she is always on top of things. Dr.Bridger discovered my narrow angle glaucoma and saved my vision in doing so. I got it treated and am fine now. There is an excellent selection of frames of all types and everyone seems happy in their work which is a sign of a well run business. Highly recommend this practice!! read more

Jonathan Parrelli and his team in Danvers are amazing! In the past I never had luck being fitted properly for contacts, as I have strong astigmatism and contacts always shifted/turned, making vision very blurry. I thought that I was not a candidate for contacts. Well, Jonathan changed all of that! He fitted me with an amazing pair! He has so much patience and takes the time to get everything right! Rebekah is great ! She is very friendly and very professional. I got the feeling she really wanted me to be happy with my frames and new glasses. She spent a long time adjusting the frames so they would fit perfectly. She even changed the nose pads on her own because she noticed they weren't fitting properly. I have been a customer for over 10 years so I have quite a bit of history with them. They have always been great, always tried to go out of their way to make everything easy and care free. Cathy the front desk lady is a saint and the rest of the staff score well above average in the customer service department. My glasses were always on time and correct, if I ever need a quick adjustment or repair they take care of it no charge. I just took my 9 year old daughter to Parrelli in Beverly for her first pair of glasses. She saw Dr. Lewis, who was fantastic (great with kids) and took plenty of time to explain everything to me. Then we had three different members of the staff helping her pick out glasses (I think they enjoyed helping a kid pick out her first pair of glasses). Anyway, Parrelli really took good care of her and I would highly recommend them. You might be able to save a few bucks buying glasses on the internet, but how to do try them on, see how they look, and make a choice (to not mention get them adjusted and fitted by a professional) on the internet? No way am I taking something as important as my daughter's eyesight to some discount optometry place in a chain store! I will absolutely be going back to Parrelli! read more

I had an excellent experience with this office, I saw Dr Bridges and when I tell you he was an excellent dr, I mean he was an excellent Dr!! I hadn't been to an eye Dr in over 30 years (shame on me) So I felt a little embarrassed going, but they made me feel right at ease. The Dr took the time to explain things to me in a way that anyone could understand, none of all that medical jargon that you can't understand unless you went to medical school. I haven't been to the eye doctor in a while and found Parrelli. When I first made the appointment they couldn't take me for a month. But I called back saying I've been having bad migraines and think it's because of my eyes. They took me that day! They were able to squeeze me in and not only do an eye exam but also a contact fitting. They were all so welcoming and friendly. It was the best experience I've had at the eye doctor. I've been a patient at the Beverly location of Parrelli Optical for a couple of years now and I have been very satisfied each time I've visited. As a contact and a glasses wearer, I do need to get an eye exam and a contact fitting yearly and they are always accommodating and schedule my appointments back to back so I only have to make one trek over. I have been seen by Dr. Lewis and Dr. Bridger for the eye exams and Jeffrey B for contact fitting and each has been professional, courteous, and eager to answer any questions I have. The support staff is also great and eager to help. I spent nearly an hour here not that long ago trying on practically every frame in the place and their style advice was very helpful. The men's frame selection is a bit limited compared to the ladies', so I did not end up making my purchase there, but they definitely gave me some great style advice. I was also impressed that they were willing to check the prescription on safety lenses I had gotten through work. I suspected something was off with them and they were very kind to confirm my suspicions with a quick measurement. Overall, very satisfied with the service I've received here and will continue going here as long as I'm a North Shore resident. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would have. We just moved to the area and my fiance needed new glasses. We already had her prescription when we went in there. She has Mass health so our selection was limited which is totally understandable. She found a pair she liked and asked 1 simple question. "Will these glasses have a bi-focal line in them?" Kevin told us flat out no they will not. Kevin told us it would take 6 to 8 weeks to get the glasses. Never heard of glasses taking taking that long but again whatever. She gets a call today that her glasses were ready. It took 5 weeks...not bad. She was super excited to be able to see again. When we went to pick them up we dealt again with Kevin. He handed her her glasses and a piece of paper and said " Can you read that?" She said yes and he said ok your all set. No how do they feel? Are they comfortable? Nothing. So as we leave she realizes they have the bi-focal line. We go back in and she says to Kevin "I thought you said they would not have the line" His response in front of everyone in the office was " Mass health won't cover it and I specifically said they would have the line" Number one you little twit there is no need to raise your voice and announce that she has Mass health like you are better than her. Second you flat out lied. I will make sure to post this review in as many places as possible and tell as many people as possible. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PARRELLI PERIOD. read more
