Cute and authentic place for Columbian food ! The empanadas were so amazing ! They had a great crunch to them and were pipping hot on the inside (which we love -- fresh to order !) The plantains were delicious as well, it wasn't overly sweet, which was nice ! The owners were also so sweet, definitely recommend checking this spot out !

One of our favorite Colombian restaurants in Houston. Not the fanciest or the most extensive menu but just great food and super friendly service. The empanadas and buñuelos are must tries here. The small bandeja paisa is the perfect size. Usually very clean dining space.

Decent mom/pop Colombian Resturant. Food was very tasty, staff was very friendly. Maybe I came after the lunch rush wasn't too busy. Definitely will try again.

es un buen servicio en temas de trabajadores, pero en temas de la comida pésimo más de 17 dólares y me parece un precio demásiado elevado por lo que ofrecen creo que con dos tacos de dólar me lleno más

I couldn't wait to check into this place so I could write my review. All I can tell you about this place is that this is the best Colombian Restaurant in Houston. I have written reviews on different Colombian restaurants and I have said that they are all good, but this place is home sweet home. It has all the usual dishes bandeja paisa, la mojarra, buñelos, empanadas, and soups. Yes colombian food is good, but the difference between this place and all the other colombian restaurants is that the food here is exactly made like in Colombia. The area is not nice and this place is a little hole in the wall place but it is very well worth it by coming here and trying it out. You will not regret it!

First off, the service is top notch. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home -- exactly what you want when you're starting your day. Special thanks to Katy ! The food? It fills the space in the best way possible and immediately pulls you in for the full experience. One thing that really stood out to me was the customer service. The staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which, unfortunately, hasn't always been my experience at other Colombian restaurants. Many places I've visited primarily speak Spanish, which can sometimes make ordering a challenge. Here, I felt completely at ease and well taken care of. We started with the beef empanadas, and I highly recommend them. The crust was perfectly crispy, while the filling was soft, flavorful, and comforting. Paired with their salsa, which had just the right kick of spice, it was an excellent combination that made for a strong start to the meal. I ordered my go-to favorite, the Bandejita. The presentation was beautiful and appetizing, but sadly, the bold flavors I'm used to just weren't quite there for me. The flat steak tasted under-seasoned, and I actually found myself adding salt, which I've never had to do before at other restaurants. The pork sausage also seemed a bit dry inside, but my husband said that's how it should be, so perhaps that was just my preference. The beans had a different flavor than what I'm accustomed to as well, not bad by any means, just noticeably different. On a positive note, the pork belly was perfectly crispy, exactly how it should be, and the plantains were sweet and cooked to perfection. Overall, the menu looks incredibly tempting, and there are still plenty of dishes I'd love to come back and try. While I may skip the Bandejita next time, I definitely plan on returning to explore more of what they have to offer.

Avoid This Place - Dishonest, Disorganized, and Power-Tripping Door Staff…read moreIf you want to be lied to, ripped off, and treated like garbage before you even step foot inside, this is the place for you. I completely agree with the recent negative reviews. The door girls working on July 5th & same girls worked a previous day I came to watch the world cup game are an absolute nightmare and are actively killing this business. I had a confirmed reservation for 6 people inside in the super club room. I received multiple texts and emails confirming it, and I even called ahead to double-check due to some of their reviews of not honoring reservations. When I arrived, the door girls told me to step out of the regular line and to come forward because of my reservation. Then, they completely refused to honor it, claiming they no longer had any available tables inside. Their "solution" to a 6-person reservation was trying to force us onto a tiny, round-top table that barely fits 2 people, located outside in the blistering heat. When I refused, the girl with the clipboard walked up who I figured could help and would have better customer service but who clearly thinks she runs the show but has zero customer service skills rudely told me that if I didn't take the tiny table, I had to go to the very back of the line. Mind you, they were the ones who told me to step out of line in the first place. It gets worse. These people are completely unethical and dishonest. They charge you a cover fee at the door and sneakily add their own tip onto it without telling you. If you aren't aggressively checking, they will happily rob you blindly. The only reason this place gets any stars is because the food is actually good, and the waitresses and bartenders are nice. In fact, our waitress was the only reason we got a decent table outside. But management needs to wake up. If you are not going to honor reservations, turn off the online booking system. Fire or retrain the power-tripping, dishonest girls at the front door. Until they fix their unethical staff, save your money and go somewhere else. Another concern is it does not seem like management cares because I see zero responses to concerns on here.

Specializing in Colombian comfort food, this truck reminds me of the late night Colombian joints that were open in the northern part of Queens (#2). The truck is perma-fixed in this space. They have a whole set of tables for large groups and includes a dedicated covered area. Parking can get tricky if there are enough people visiting, but I'd recommend the next lot over where there is no night time monitoring. The menu is incredibly simple and just know that prices are not listed (#3) . The choices are basically a beef / chicken / chorizo burger, along with the occasional hot dog and a number of smoothies and drinks. I think their beef burger (patty de res) and the chorizo (patty de chorizo) are the best I've had so far. It will cost at least $15 for the sandwich and fries are not included. It sounds expensive but at the very least the burger will come loaded. It'll be a messy, delicious encounter. Pair it with their maracuyá (passion fruit) juice and it'll be a wonderful meal. The man running the truck is one of the nicest owners I've met. He's patient, courteous, and takes the time to interact with everyone who comes through. I can't attest to their English skills, but I wouldn't hesitate for a second in recommending this place for some quality late night food. _________ (#1) Yes, the address says Houston.
