    Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich
    Anokhy D.

I was looking for a quick dinner before a concert next door to POST and ordered the rotisserie chicken sandwich here. It was filling, the wait time was normal for POST restaurants, and the plantains in the sandwich quickly made this one of my favorite sandwiches in downtown. The fries were fine, not super seasoned.

Located inside The Post, the arepa caught our attention and that's exactly what we ordered. We also added a chicken skewer. The lady working was nice and helpful and provided us with a wait time which was accurate. The food had great flavors and there was a slight crunch which we enjoyed. There is plenty of inside seating available as it's a giant food hall with pretty much everything you could wanna sample. Check them out

If you visit The Post Houston, please don't miss this food place. The word Andees is exciting and shows how deeply its meaning relates to the Chef's struggle and hard work. Let me introduce you to Mr David, who is extremely humble and makes efforts to show respect to his clients. Of course, his cooking says it all. The Andes are the continuous mountain range that starts in Alaska, passes through California, and then descends into the sea to South Venezuela. You must try every dish at this restaurant, and if you like seafood, you will love it even more. We highly recommend this cute, delicious cafe inside The Post in Houston. Actually, we went back and tried a few new things. Again, service was very personal and out of this world. A very sweet lady helped us at the counter; her smile was magical. It was my birthday dinner so it was awesome. Thank you. David, you are an awesome chef and very hard-working person.

I'd say this was some of the best Spanish food I've had in a very long time! I loved this place overall. Initially, the guy who took my order took a very long time to notice me when I walked up to the counter. I thought I got his attention at least twice but it took a few minutes for him to come over. After I ordered, I walked around the Post until I was notified that it was ready. It was moderately priced but so so so delicious. I ordered the coconut shrimp curry with empanadas. I also loved the decor inside, with native figures and the tile art on the walls. It was so beautiful. I would HIGHLY recommend coming here! I can't wait to come back!

My husband and I went to The Post Market food hall to have some dinner. He chose to try Peruvian food. As ceviche lovers and Peruvian food lovers we couldn't wait to try Andes Cafe. We wanted ceviche of course, but I also wanted Leche de Tigre, so we asked more fish in the ceviche mixto instead of shrimp, and instead of the shrimp some crispy calamari. Staff is great, they gave us exactly as we ordered with no hesitation whatsoever. Service is quick also. Decor of the place is very authentic to Peru. The ceviche looked great, fresh fish, camote, canchitas, choclo, fried crunchy calamari, fresh onion and cilantro. The leche de Tigre had the perfect acidity, and spice to it, next time I would order more leche in my ceviche. I recommend Andes Cafe.

ThI Andes Cafe is situated at the back corner of POST Houston. It specializes in South American flavors including cuisines from Argentina, Venezuela, Peru and more! The store front has an inviting neon sign boasting the Andes mountains in the background. The restaurant has a few small tables inside or you can order at the front counter and come back to pick up your food when ready if you are sitting at one of the larger tables in the open dining area of POST. The cachapa or sweet corn pancake is one of my go-tos at The Andes Cafe. The combination of sweet and savory is so satisfying. Eat it as an appetizer with friends or as your entire meal! Very cheesy and tasty. My other favorite is the coconut shrimp curry (which I did not order on my most recent trip). Very flavorful with fresh shrimp and sweet plantains! It's a hefty serving which makes the $16 price tag much more palatable. Enjoy the fast-paced, hustle and bustle of the vibrant POST Houston with these flavors from South America!

This spot is located in the POST. We tried the ceviche mixto. It took a little while for it to be ready. The seafood was quite tasty and tender. My least favorite part of the dish was the calamari - it wasn't crispy, and I didn't like the breading. Everything else was yummy. On the pricey side for the amount

They have a variety of international foods. After watching the Food Network Channel and intermittently fasting, I was craving Peruvian food but ended up getting Coconut Shrimp Curry from Ecuador, my husband ordered the Lomo Saltado Peruvian dish and the Sweet & Savory Corn pancake from Venezuela as an appetizer. We shared all the dishes. I was thoroughly pleased with my choice. This restaurant is located at The Post downtown and has limited seating which we were able to sit at however you could go throughout the food court and find plenty of tables to dine at. I especially liked the plantains shrimp and rice and the sauce accompanied with it. The corn pancake did have too much chewy cheese but the texture of the cake was delicious. Our food came out pretty fast. We sat at a dirty table for a while and had to ask twice to have the dishes picked up. They only had one lady taking your order at the counter and serving. But it's a pretty small place seating for 11.

The food has good flavor. Ambiance needs attention, they can do better with making clients feel better.

I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to post a review on Andes Cafe because I love the place! I should start by mentioning I'm allergic to corn so I have not been able to try all the dishes but when I do come by they are extremely helpful with modifications to my ceviche. I've actually had the majority of the main dishes/appetizers/sides on the menu! I really appreciate how small the menu is because I think that's what makes all the dishes so good. My favorites are fish ceviche, mixed ceviche, the churrasco, and the coconut shrimp. The restaurant is very small but cute and the staff is very friendly. I love that the menu has a diverse cuisine from different South American countries so you get to try a little of everything. I recommend a visit when you are at POST HTX

Located inside POST Houston, Andes Cafe stands out for its South American inspired dishes and raw bar. Every eatery inside of POST operates on an above average cost by a couple of dollars, so be aware. With that said, the quality of Andes was on par to what I expected. The food was well cooked. The eggs I added to my entree were fried perfectly. I very much enjoyed my meal. My dining partner enjoyed his as well. No complaints here!

Really a hidden gem. Harder to get to but worth the trek. The food is extremely authentic and true to the South American countries the recipes come from. Everything is fresh, very nice atmosphere in the restaurant and the staff is really friendly. You will feel you are in South America you just don't need a Passport. Get ready to explore some basic to exotic new things. The waiters will help you decide. From fish to pork, i am sure someone posted the menu... check it out. Come here, you will be glad you did and will add it to your regular be

Andes Cafe was delicious and certainly made me feel as though I was in South America. The prices are a little high and with plentiful other options, if you're willing to pay, this is a great spot for some South American flavors!

Can you order wine by the glass?

Yes you can. Glass and by bottle.

Are they still open? I know they have moved to Bravery Chef Hall, but I no longer see them on the list of restaurants to order from.

I'm really hungry and this place sounds really good but I don't really feel like drinking coffee. Is it mandatory to order coffee?

I completely agree with the recent negative reviews. The door girls working on July 5th & same girls worked a previous day I came to watch the world cup game are an absolute nightmare and are actively killing this business. I had a confirmed reservation for 6 people inside in the super club room. I received multiple texts and emails confirming it, and I even called ahead to double-check due to some of their reviews of not honoring reservations. When I arrived, the door girls told me to step out of the regular line and to come forward because of my reservation. Then, they completely refused to honor it, claiming they no longer had any available tables inside. Their "solution" to a 6-person reservation was trying to force us onto a tiny, round-top table that barely fits 2 people, located outside in the blistering heat. When I refused, the girl with the clipboard walked up who I figured could help and would have better customer service but who clearly thinks she runs the show but has zero customer service skills rudely told me that if I didn't take the tiny table, I had to go to the very back of the line. Mind you, they were the ones who told me to step out of line in the first place. It gets worse. These people are completely unethical and dishonest. They charge you a cover fee at the door and sneakily add their own tip onto it without telling you. If you aren't aggressively checking, they will happily rob you blindly. The only reason this place gets any stars is because the food is actually good, and the waitresses and bartenders are nice. In fact, our waitress was the only reason we got a decent table outside. But management needs to wake up. If you are not going to honor reservations, turn off the online booking system. Fire or retrain the power-tripping, dishonest girls at the front door. Until they fix their unethical staff, save your money and go somewhere else. Another concern is it does not seem like management cares because I see zero responses to concerns on here.

The baristas/servers are so friendly, and the shop truly feels homey. Perfection for studying, with inside ample tables/chairs with nearby outlets as well as some comfy chairs and a couch. There's also a cute covered outside area which I'm sure I'll experience post summer time. They have a few yummy looking food options at a great price point - including tamales and baked pastries. I picked the chicken tamale as a light lunch - I got the most delicious chicken tamale I've had thus far, served with kettle crinkle chips and a tamale sauce to dip. There are many coffee/non coffee options. I opted for the iced horchata latte - agree with prior reviewers that this is delish. It is not too sweet and a great blend of vanilla and cinnamon that masks the espresso.
