As other reviewers have written, communication seems to be an issue. I've called multiple times over the last 1.5 months, and the times I've been able to get through, I've been redirected to someone's voicemail. I've yet to receive a call back from any of the messages I left. One of my calls was trying to reach service about a serious issue. When the tech was out trying to fix the fireplace, he vacuumed the soot from the 20 year old fireplace (we just moved in), but his vac didn't have a filter in place. It sprayed the fine soot completely over our family room and kitchen, covering every surface and all of our items that were on counters and tables. This took me an entire weekend to clean, and even now I still find places with soot that I have to clean with a special rubber soot cleaning block. As of today I've still not gotten a call back in response to this. This type of service truly makes me worry the install on the gas fireplaces is going to leak or have some danger to my family. read more

Extremely helpful staff! I stopped in this morning because we are looking for a ventless fireplace system to install with our bathroom remodel. The showroom is attractive, yet I didn't explore since I didn't spend a lot of time here. They have outdoor kitchen and fireplace displays up front and kitchen cabinet and appliance displays in the show room. I was greeted immediately upon entering and spoke with one of the representatives. She was pleasant and accommodating and explained that they did not carry the particular fireplace I was looking for, but was able to suggest another company in town that did. She also explained that if we decided to go with the traditional fireplace, they offer several reputable brands and asked me to come back and visit if we decided not to go with the ventless system. Not many companies will help you beyond what they carry. I appreciate the information she was able to provide to make sure we got what we needed for our project. What great customer service and I will definitely return here, should I require anything in the future from this company. read more

I dont see how this place stays in business. Husband and I went in today to see about getting a new electric fireplace insert because ours went out. We walked in and walked around for a good 10 minutes NO ONE said a word to us we finally had to go ask for help. Eddie attempted to show us what we were looking for but he wasnt much help. Literally said "these are the 2 models we have" clicked them on and then stood there. WTF?! Are you a salesperson?? I attempted to ask about additional models, sizes etc and he just repeated "these are what we carry." As we were walking out we stopped to look at cabinets and some guy was vacuuming he turned the vacuum off and started yanking the cord from under our feet, no excuse me or watch out, nothing!!! This place has ZERO customer service I wont be buying anything here! read more

While the products at this organization look wonderful, their customer service falls flat. We ordered fireplace logs in early November. We were told that they would arrive in time to be installed for Thanksgiving. In early December, we called the company to find out if the logs had ever arrived. No one ever contacted us. The logs were there and they finally scheduled an installation on December 8. We were told that they needed a five hour window for installation and they would call an hour before coming. We were expecting them sometime between 12 and 5 pm. At 3:00 pm, we called and asked if they were still coming. Turns out they wanted to start this project at 4:30 pm!! At this point, they have yet to install the logs or to remedy this situation. read more

I left a message for this company on Saturday to fix my gas fireplace. They called me immediatly the following Monday and had a technician on my doorstep Wednesday morning! Albert just finished up with our fireplace. How refreshing to have a service technician come to my home who was polite, professional and knowledgeable. Albert fixed everything beautifully, cleaned up after himself and was overall very pleasant. I would highly recommend this company for any service that they perform. We have been working with the Corpus Christi location for nearly a year, having recently built a new home. Part of what sold us on Parrish was the staff at the Main location in San Antonio. We chose the Woodmont cabinet line, which was budget-friendly and appeared to be acceptable quality. When we could finally install our cabinets in late July, many doors were cracked and warped, one vanity was missing, the fridge cabinet was built wrong, and most of the hinges were not soft-close as we had ordered. The installers were in a hurry and left many issues and repairs for us to deal with. Unfortunately, our builder had to pay Parrish so we could close our loan in late September. It is now mid-November, we've been in the house nearly two months, and we are still waiting on four door replacements and several hinges. They've been very willing to repair and replace items, but less so after having been paid. If you use them, just be prepared for some challenges with your cabinetry. Very disappointed in the experience. read more

I wish I could give this company a good rating, however after today, I feel the need to give them only 1 star. We had them install a direct vent fireplace in our new home, however the fan was defective and needed to be replaced. Since its still under warranty, the service guy immediately ordered a new fan. We received a call the next day that the part arrived. I took off work in the afternoon so that the service guy could install the part. Unfortunately he didn't show up nor call to say they were tied up or anything. I called to reschedule the next day, again taking off work to be at the house. Again, no one showed up, and eventually received a call apologizing they were tied up and would install the part the following day. Today I took the afternoon off, and once more no show or even a phone call. This is ridiculous and nonetheless very unprofessional. I have friends who were interested in dealing with this company for their new home but we're advising them to go with another company. This one has caused too many headaches and aren't willing to help their customers. Very disappointed in Parrish and Company located on Highway 281. read more
