Some drawers containing just a few of the terrarium fillers offered by this store
    Joshua M.

A unique store, offering various succulents, air plants, and quite a selection of customizations for terrariums. A good place to stop in for a unique gift in this category, worth a look regardless if you're over in Saranac Commons. Owners are knowledgeable about the origin and care of the plants they sell as well, and will be happy to answer your questions.

This is a gorgeous park and botanical garden bustling with people and butterflies and life!…read moreWe stopped here to have some lunch under the covered picnic area and were surrounded by green grass and the sound of children playing at the nearby playground. There was a cool breeze through the canopies on a very warm day and garbage cans to dispose of our leftovers. When we stumbled upon the gorgeous flower gardens, I could not believe it. There were multiple gardeners working outside of the conservatory and although it was closed, I can't imagine that there was anything more beautiful inside than what we saw outside. We were able to sit over at the benches and rally enjoy the fountain and manicured flowers. There was a large, veryrude family that did come through who wanted to scream at their kids and then try to take photographs in front of the flowers like a happy family. Then allow their smaller children to stomp through the flowers and scream loudly while they stared at their phones. And there were of course at least two young ladies posing for "the gram" that picked flowers and made obnoxious gestures in ridiculously skimpy clothes... I guess those types of things can't be helped these days and they are no reflection on the garden itself, just be prepared for your peace to be interrupted. We also made a quick stop at the Rose garden which I did not find to be quite as beautiful but smelled lovely... There were just too many bugs and it was there were just too many bugs and it was far too warm to spend much time there. If I lived closer to this park, I would come everyday to listen to the sound of the fountain and appreciate the beauty of the topiaries and flowers and I would recommend a stop here for anyone who appreciates the beauty of nature.

Richard delivered on all of these and then some. During the process, he continued to consult with us and kept us informed of his schedule. We greatly appreciated his flexibility in allowing us to complete some of the work ourselves and the tips he provided to us along the way. For the few sub-contractors he used, Richard was always on site and oversaw their work. The pride he takes in his work is very evident. No detail is too small. His design complimented the style of our home and expanded our living space to the outdoors which is something we always longed for. We continue to marvel at how perfectly he balanced the use of steel and rock with the softness of each plant choice and placement. So many neighbors and passersby have stopped to chat and express their interest and inquire about Richard's work. Anyone would be lucky to work with him.

I had family coming in town for the weekend and desperately needed my lawn mowed. I reached out to several area lawn care companies to see if anyone could squeeze me in within the next two days. Nick responded within 30 minutes of my request that he would try to work me in within the next two days. I ended up hearing from another service simultaneously who responded they could definitely take care of me before the weekend, so I booked with them. I was so shocked when Nick showed up at my house that same evening that I sent my request saying he had found the time and could mow my lawn the next day. It made me wish I hadn't already booked the other vendor! I was so impressed by his responsiveness. As someone who works full time, I can't stress how much I appreciate someone responding to me quickly and going above and beyond to work around my schedule. If I ever get in this situation again (and I hope I won't!) I will reach out to Nick immediately and feel confident that he'll be prompt in his response.
