My husband noticed the building first and requested we make a stop before going home. I hadn't realized until entering the parking lot that it was the new building for Black Arsenal and I had in fact been to the store at both previous locations. While I have grown up with guns being used for hunting, I myself have limited experience with guns. Protection was more of our focus today when visited, but we asked questions today without yet purchasing anything. Employees are extremely knowledgeable and answered every question we asked. If you need something or have questions relating to guns and their accessories, Black Arsenal is a local spot that is worth the stop.

I love this type of furniture, so I enjoy looking around, but the prices are high. I found a couple of Mission Oak footstools I would have loved to have bought, but they were in the $400-500 range - for a simple footstool. Granted, not easy to find and in good shape, but that was more than I was willing to pay. Shop is located in St. Joseph, which is traditionally a wealthy area (Whirlpool Corporation is here, so be sure to notice the who-needs-a-house-that-big mansions along the lakeshore if you drive by). St. Joseph is a tourist and summer home area for people with money. The furniture here is desirable, beautiful, and hard to find. Those factors create high prices that others can and will pay. As for we middle class types, we continue to rummage out of the way antiques shops in hopes of a lucky find.
