Was a great neighborhood local place to be. Parking lot out front is shared with other business in the area so it's tight. Found a place and read the sign in how to get in. Walked in and was greeted kindly by Dani who was slinging drinks and taking orders from behind the bar. We started with everclear and pickle juice shots, then transitioned into a parrot Bay shot but with monster instead of Red Bull, I had a margarita but ended up on a Long Island. All drinks came fast and wore delicious. The orders and chicken tenders which were extremely meaty hot and I was told that they cut them and make them every day and you can tell they were made because there is love involved. The atmosphere was very relaxed and they also have karaoke on Thursday nights which is amazing. I love they have a touch tunes. I'm a big jukebox girl! Thankful the restroom was very clean. Local bar feel with an excellent dare I say outstanding sound system, the karaoke sounds superb intergrated into the pa system! Rare with some of the coolest KJs around!! Thanks Dennis & Steve, nothings compares in town in my humble opinion. Band/s noteworthy. Thursday/Sunday Karaoke have an impressive sized rotation with a lot of unique and talented singers! Staff and owners will make sure your treated like friends and family and the are straight forward but friendly as you would expect in a Midwest town from midwestern people. Succinctly fun and interesting to hang. Totally opposite of a shady hole in the wall but still keeps up appearances! lol. The decor is part of its charm but they forgot the Navy flag on the cedar ceiling above the bar. Not everyone or place is perfect. lol Thanks for keeping it real! I visited on a Friday night with a group. They have a parking lot that was easy to access. The ambience is that it's dark inside with wood walls, but they do have a lot of cool lights around. They do have some drink and dinner specials, so ask when you go. I ordered a side salad and a small cheese pizza. The pizza was interesting as it had a slightly smoky taste to it. I was surprised how little onion was on the pizza as that was my only topping. I was really impressed with the service. The women really work hard to make sure you have a good experience. It appears this place has a lot of regulars that really love it. It gets quite loud after 7 pm. I can't really say anything bad, the place is just not my vibe. read more

Food has been great, bartenders are friendly, drinks are priced right. The only complaint I would have is that they have something going every night. Live bands are too loud and so is the karaoke. We like to sit and talk but you can't with the music so loud. We usually come in after work but try to leave by 8:00 before the music starts. We'd stay later if there was just a jukebox one night a week. read more

Parrots WAS awesome. Great food, lil neighborhood place. The menu has changed. As a result, the food generally sucks. I dont know why, but a place needs to make its own ranch dressing. Not use junk from a bottle. I mean they even sell a chicken bacon ranch sandwich, then throw junk bottled ranch in it. Come on. Horrible change to a once great place. Where can I start. We're new in town, live near here and decided to grab a burger. Amanda, the bartender, is amazingly nice and super attentive. Busy as shit on a Friday afternoon and my glass was never dry. We came back two days in a row because she was great! Super personable. Not a mask in the place. Bathroom is filthy and some of the clientele probably need to be walked through a metal detector prior to entering. The last night I was in there, there was also a big dog just laying in the middle of the floor, which almost caused a huge fight. read more

A blonde female customer threatened to stab me in the eye with a fork, I proceeded to say I don't feel comfortable with her being around me or talking to me about 5 times, bartender just wanted a good tip I'm assuming so didn't say a word. She then made the bartender believe that I was the "bad guy" in this situation so I proceeded to call the customer a c*** and the female bartender (Lexi) took the customer's side even after she threatened to stab me, not to mention she was calling other customers near her dirty and ignorant small d*** males the whole night. I was a regular at this place for about 2 months now and have never been a nuisance, so I decided to give them a $1 tip for their poor conduct. They could have easily stepped in and resolved the situation. Looking back, I should have called the police as soon as I was threatened with death by another customer. I will give the blonde haired bartender(sorry, forgot her name) a $50 tip if the company apologizes to me for not handling the situation properly(one of the owners watched the whole thing play out). If not, seems like a poor handling of a business and they will probably fail in the long run if regulars aren't treated properly. I spend about $70 a week there so do the math, not too much money, but it's enough for me to feel vindicated. read more

When I travel, I seek out karaoke bars. A rare gem of a Sunday karaoke night. Maybe 15 people in the bar. Closer to 50ish than 20ish which works for me. Two bartenders who were on top of their game! Decent prices and food. Not exactly easy to find - even when in the parking lot - but worth the trip. read more

Edited this review because this place has gone down the toilet. Last time I was there they had no working draft beer system and were out of most beers. The waitress walked by me several times over a 45 minute period not once asking if i wanted a drink so I had to go to the bar and get one of two types of beer they had left. read more

Living close by my husband and are frequent Parrots patrons. All the staff are so nice, and the owners are always around too...great people! The food to great, especially the pizza. Bands every Friday and Saturday with no cover provides a great place to relax in a nonsmoking environment. read more
