I had a craving for nachos and fries and found them here at this location. Kimmie was very friendly upon walking in and immediately made me feel welcome and was patient as I decided what drink of choice to be made. I went with a fuzzy navel and deluxe nachos and fries. The drink choice was just ok . The food was delicious, hot and cooked fresh . I arrived right as they opened so I got a chance to look around and check out the establishment as I waited for my food to delivered. It's way bigger than I anticipated. They have a DJ that jams on Sat. Nights. Parties are always welcomed. Dart and pool and game room available as well. Restrooms are clean . Parking lot is private and plentiful. Menu is diverse. Outside patio area for warm days is spacious as well. Pricing is reasonable . I will definitely come back when in the area with friends! read more

I was in the mood for a salad and after seeing their Caesar come across my feed, I decided to check them out. I went to their website and saw they had a grilled chicken Caesar for 12.95. I thought that was a steal! I didn't see a place to order online so I called and did it over the phone. When the person gave me my total, she said it was $16.34. I was surprised but said that was fine. After I got off the phone, I double checked the website and it indeed says $12.95. I immediately called back and let her know the price discrepancy, only for her to say, "oh, the website hasn't been updated and our prices have gone up." I asked if there were two different sizes for the salads and she said only a few had larger sizes but the one I had wasn't one of them. Oh ok.... When I got there, I walked in and stood at the front for a couple minutes while waiting to be helped. There was a sign that said please wait to be seated, so I opted not to go in because some places have their carry out at the front, while others have it at the bar. After a couple mins, a server came and told me to go to the bar. When I walked in, another server came and asked if I had the to-go order. I said yes and she was back within a couple mins with my order. The salad came in a styrofoam container with the chicken and croutons on top and the dressing in a separate container. The salad itself was pretty good but didn't wow me. I've paid less at other places with more protein. To start, the lettuce is about two portions worth; unfortunately, the protein and croutons aren't conducive to the amount of lettuce you get. Additionally, by the time I got home, some of the lettuce was soggy from the chicken and the croutons had become the same way. To the owners, it would behoove you to update your website and make sure all pricing is current and have clear instructions on where to pick up carry out orders. My husband and I went to a large 70th birthday party in the back room with the pool tables. This is a great venue for a big party. They had a second party going on in another room as well. Our waitress was great at keeping our drinks from the bar coming and keeping track of our tab, clearing off the table, etc. The party had chicken wings, ravioli, breaded zucchini sticks, veggie tray and cookies. Went here tonight with a group of friends for team trivia. They have a private parking lot. Have never had problems finding a place to park. Even on nights when they get really busy, like when they have free team trivia, there's plenty of parking. There are two private (party) rooms that can be reserved. A friend reserves one once a month and said it's great for his group. Sports Cafe has a full bar with 5 tvs. I had spicy chicken wings with blue cheese. Been a while since I had wings so was really looking forward to them. The menu says it's 1 pound for $11.95. I had 6 wings - combination of drumsticks and flats and 3 pieces of celery. I felt it was a little pricey for what I got, but I know generally the price of wings has gone up fairly substantially and it's been a while since I've ordered wings so this might not actually be out of line. They were very good! But I probably won't order them again. Team trivia with John is always fun here. One thing I really enjoy about John's trivia nights is that he makes sure to stay on track with time and always finishes right around 9:00. It allows people to go to trivia even if we have to get up for work in the morning. Have to give a shout out to our server, Jen. Jen is the only server. She takes care of everyone in the main dining room, plus the large party room, plus the smaller party room. She is BUSY!!! However, always get the refills I need and she's always friendly. read more

After doing a lil shopping my friend and I decided to stop here lunch. The waitress at the bar was super nice and friendly. She even let me use her charger when my phone was about to die! I ordered the chef salad and hot wings. The salad was soo fresh and delicious and the portion size was enough for two people. So now I have salad for dinner! Service was non existent! Pat at the bar completely ignored us to the point we went to a waitress on the floor to order food after being ignore for over ten minutes while Pat bullshitted with a couple on one side of the bar. That was after making us wait for about five minutes to order a couple of beers while he chatted with people on the other side of the bar. This should be called a social club instead of cafe. The blonde waitress had no desire to help us either. She just told us she would get Pat to help us. The ambiance was pretty cool, but nothing special other than the dance floor. After finally getting to order I purchased the 12 oz Butterflied Pork Chop that came out undercooked and not butterflied to help with the cooking. It was no where near 12 oz and maybe that is why they didn't butterfly it.... Because they couldn't! Coldest baked potato I have ever eaten. Butter stayed solid it was so cold. Had a family Christmas party in the game room at Sports Cafe last Monday evening. I think we probably had about 30-35 people show up. We have had several similar gatherings over last 10-15 years. Always a good time. We ordered a few items off the catering menu .. sub sandwiches, toasted ravioli, and veggie tray. All the food was tasty and seemed to be plenty of eats for the group. A few people ordered off the menu and seemed to enjoy their selections. Turned out it was trivia night which added a special group activity for us. The younger family members enjoyed several activities offered in the game room such as pinball, darts, and billiards. Our server, Patrick, did a great job keeping up with everyone's drink orders .. and keeping track of several different tabs. God willing .. we will be back next year! read more

If you are in the Bridgeton area on a Wednesday check this place out. A cool spot to people watch and also see the cute older couples do their two step dances. The food was your typically bar food but I will say it's a step above Applebee's. The toasted ravioli was a great appetizer to start with. They have a bunch of tv's and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. This place is horrible. Went there for lunch and it took 1 hr and 45 min to get the most basic food ever, we respectfully complained and the waitress states the girl who sat you didn't tell you it would be a long wait. We answered she did not, no apology after the statement. Now being in service myself I would have told the table up front just to cover all ends. While waiting for food the waitress kept bringing us drinks and when I say she was bringing them before the 1st one was even done, I guess to shut us up. After waiting so long we could not sit and enjoy our food because we had to get back to the office. Keep in mind the fries were cold and my order was incorrect. The entire time we were waiting the waitress tried not to make eye contact and kept ignoring us without any apologies. She finally apologized after we bagged out food up. I then called the restaurant back to speak with a manager and in literally typing this while holding for one. The hold time is now 15 min and no one has come back to the phone as a courtesy. They no longer sanitize table tops. The place is crowded with seating set up with tables as close together as possible. They have done away with hand sanitizer stations. And the Restrooms are dirty. This was my first time here, and was greeted by a sign asking to wait to be seated. Employees walk by, but no one attempted to seat us. Finally, someone waved at a table and said, "Sit there." 10 minutes later a different person brings us menus. 10 minutes later someone takes our drink orders. 10 minutes later the same girl that took our drink orders yells across the room at the bartender to make our drinks, then tries to pass it off as if the bartender was at fault. There were literally 4 tables occupied in this massive space, and it was 3:30 in the afternoon. This review is from a retirement party. I cannot comment on the menu or meal wait service. We had about 100 people for a happy hour -type of event. - the location is perfect for anyone between the rivers. - planning was a no-brainer. The manager makes valid suggestions and guides you easily through the plan. There are several rooms to chose from and deposit and payment is fair and easy. The price seems very fair. She'll apply your deposit toward the minimum purchase. The purchase is for food and drink, no charge for the staff or room. - 10 stars for staff. There really wasn't much preparation to be done, but when we arrived, an army came to my beck and call. They hooked up the huge TV for vid presentation, the cooking fella and waitress helped me decide where I wanted the presentation, the MC and the food. We hauled tables and chairs around, they made one of the pool tables into a display table. Just above and beyond to keep me from being anxious about the event. We did have to bring our own hdmi cable (extra long). The manager had the presence of mind to let me know about this ahead of time. - More on staff - food cooking guy made suggestions about when and how to bring chow out. He made sure that there was fresh food brought out throughout the entire party. I was unable to thank him at the time, but I want him to know that we appreciate his efforts. The food was fresh, well prepared and fairly priced. I cant comment on the taste and quality of the food, it was just bar appetizers, no Michelin rating there. - More on wait staff - we were assigned a single bar maid. She was excellent. She circulated constantly and I'm sure she did not take a break. Huge kudos to her. When she brought the bill, she was kind enough to remind us that the gratuity was already covered. 10 stars for honesty. The drinks were well-poured and the bar selection was just grand. STAR DELETED for cleanliness. Its clear that the bathroom has never been professionally cleaned. The carpets are stained and have never been cleaned. Apparently, the waitress was charged with vacuum ing before she could leave which forced stragglers out of the room. Bad form, management. This place, including carpets, should be professionally cleaned periodically. The lack of care in the front of the house causes me to worry about the cleanliness of the kitchen and bar. read more

Just passing through town on the way to AZ. This place was awesome. Cheap, cheap drinks and the friendliest most competent bartender, Leanna. We ordered a pork chop dinner and a Cobb salad. We expected a thin, tasteless pork chop but it was the best chop we've ever had and we eat out a lot. It was thick and juicy and flavorful. The Cobb salad was huge and was full of everything, lettuce was the smallest quantity where, usually, places give you more lettuce than anything. The chicken on the salad was warm and moist.
