The Party City website indicated that this store had the New Year's items I wanted. I went to the store on 12/17. They said they wouldn't have their new year's items until "later". I placed an order for store delivery on 12/22. Minutes later, I received a generic email saying my order was cancelled for some unknown reason and I should place it again in a few minutes. I followed those instructions and placed an order again about an hour later. Again, I got a generic cancelled notice. Later I received a call from the store manager saying the items were not actually in the store until after Christmas. Here I am two day beyond Christmas and the items I wanted do not even show up as available at this store. This is a nice Party City. It is larger than I expected, especially for the location. Nicely organized, great selection of party favors. I found a special tablecloth there (a vinyl/lined tablecloth that is printed in a way to look like it is grass, perfect for a football, golf or any sports themed party) for a full $5 less than at Party @ Display & Costume in Issaquah. We had contact with 3 employees and all were friendly and helpful. When we asked about the location of an item, two times employees stopped what they were doing and walked us to the correct aisle and pointed out what we were looking for - good job! read more

The store was clean and the staff was nice & fairly helpful (they were very busy) but the pricing was a bit outrageous. They charged for so many "add-on" items I felt should've been included - I did just spend $75 on balloons; who knew helium was so expensive! Want to keep all the balloons together? Walked in to look around and shop, they have a lot of variety, and they are quite cheap. Though things such as candy, all look expired to me. The place is not populated, feels more like a candy warehouse to me. Most of the time I find myself shopping along in the store, with three workers, at the busiest shopping time of the day in the mall. Went in recently and saw a worker slamming things down on shelves, you know it's loud when you can hear him aisles away, and he walks away when he realize that you have noticed and been staring for quite some time; never buying here again. Just called there to see if they could put together a balloon bouquet for a party next weekend. We will be coming in from out of town. Told I have to order in person because "corporate is really cracking down." Seriously? If that is the policy, ok--but seems ridiculous that I can't order and pay over the phone so they will be ready when I need them next week. Asked if I arrived when they first opened that day if could be ready in time--was not encouraging. "Maybe" was best I could get -- plus suggestion that I find someone who lives in that town to come order for me in person. The people that I know in that town would be the ones I am getting the balloons for, so no, won't be asking them. This review is based on their in-store pick up service (or lack their of!) I placed an order on a Tuesday for items that were in stock at this location. I called the store the next day wondering what was going on since it should not have taken over 24 hours...I ended up hanging up because no one there could give me an answer. I called again on Friday, same scenario so I gave up and got items elsewhere. On the following Wednesday (over a week later) I received the email that my items were ready for pick up!!! I went in looking for fun balloons for my daughters party. They have a huge wall of them but were out of stock on all the ones that I asked about. They should mark the ones that are out of stock so customers know. Also, they absolutely did not care that they were out of stock. I was told that they might get more in eventually but they didn't know. I settled on some solid color mylar. By the time I got home with them, 2 of the 6 were partially deflated. read more

The average rating I'd personally make is 3 stars which is a shame considering some of the other aspects of the stores that didn't tick me off. THIS REVIEW IS BASED OFF OF NOVEMBER-NOW Recently moving from New York at the end of 2013, I moved right as the holidays began and was grateful enough to find such a store that had nearly everything I needed. ***SERVICE*** First off, I'd like to give 5 stars to MOST of the sales associates. It seems like after Halloween ended, they've cut off most of their good employees and hired dunces. I go here frequently as a mom, and a member of booster clubs for a few schools and I've always experienced something different. On the weekends I would either get a good experience with this man with black curly hair or this idiot of a girl with quite a short height and short blond hair. On weekdays, the service doesn't seem to be as bad. Again, it's mostly the females that work at this Party City that has horrible customer service. WEEKEND EXPERIENCE The man greets me politely and quickly gets a move on with my transaction. He also helps me locate items and always gives me excellent customer service during balloon orders. The girl would have noticed me about 10 seconds after she finally looks up from her phone. I'm honestly baffled at how this girl has kept her job for 3 months. She is always on her phone even in between customers. Quite frankly, she is not that knowledgeable on the store either. The other girl who always seem to wear a hat was very polite, nothing like the other girl with short blond hair. Although I can barely understand her at times, she gets the job done. WEEKDAY EXPERIENCE Most of the weekdays, I find myself going through a pleasurable shopping experience. The only problems I've ever had was another lady, quite short with short hair as well. She seems to be the main cashier whenever she is there. She gives me horrible customer service and always redirects me in the direction of another associate. Meanwhile, the men of the establishment succeeds the expectations and are able to help me every time. Whether it's the two boys out on the floor restocking the shelves or the sales associate up front behind the registers. They go above and beyond, checking above as well as on their systems for items whenever I am unable to get the right quantity I need. They are prompt and polite in their service and I hope that the manager will be smart to keep all four of these gentlemen. However, I must not give credit to all the men. There does seem to be these two women who knows what they're doing. They exceed my expectations as well and never give up on me, not even when I'm ready to give up myself. It would be an extremely regretful decision if these people were to be let go. Five stars to the men and MOST of the women during the weekday. Five stars to the man working during the weekends. Three stars to the woman in the hat all the time. As for the little girl with blond hair, I wouldn't rate her at all as she is as good as being fired. ***STORE AESTHETICS*** I would unfortunately have to give 2 stars to this but it is understandable. Being located in a mall that is surrounded by residencies, it's hard to manage a store like this. Especially with little kids coming in all the time. How they manage to keep the aisles clean for the most part is beyond me. The very middle aisle however is a mess. Although very understandable, you'd think they'd clean it up once in a while what with a man there that is messing around with the candy all the time. ***STORE QUANTITY & QUALITY*** I'd have to give this a definite 4 stars. Although they do seem to run out most of the time, there is; for the most part, someone who is willing to go out of their way to make you happy. They will look in the secluded top shelves, in the back and even in unopened boxes. Not the mention the selections of balloons they have as well as the way they turn out once blown up. ***STORE MANAGEMENT*** Definitely 3 stars for this. I'd give a higher rating if the management was smart enough to hire people that is competent for the job. All in all, it rounds out to about 3 stars. I do enjoy shopping here but sometimes, the customer service I receive is not nearly as good as what I should be getting. SO frustrated last night! Came in at 8:50 and they were already closed! We desperately needed something and they refused to open their gate back up, saying they'd already closed down the registers. Stores around them were all open and when I asked those stores for the same item, they suggested the party store instead and then were shocked that they had closed already. This is the worst store at Crossroads mall. It was always a "meh" store but in the last year, this store took a turn for the worst. Customer service sucks! Its so upsetting to come here, so i've stopped going altogether. I use to throw Halloween parties and during October, the store is always a mess. But i've been coming in here because of birthday parties and other events in the past several months. Whenever asking a question to a worker, they act really snobbish and i get this feeling like im wasting their time. Most of the workers are young adults that act so very immature. When i asked for a manager, even she seemed unhappy but i finally got my questions answered. Its always a bad experience there for me. The store is lacking in alot of major areas and mainly its customer service. Prices are decent but i can never find what im looking for because its always out of stock. The front counter most of the time is busy and there's never enough people checking. Its always a problem for me when im trying to beat traffic home. So i've been shopping in the morning recently but not too recently. Even in the morning, i have problems. I was waiting for help and the front counter was calling someone from the back to come help me but the guy never showed up. This was a couple months ago. I just gave up and walked away. Until management changes, i don't see this store as being professional and friendly. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I placed an order and I got the feeling that it was taken correctly and that my balloons will be ready -- just the way I ordered them -- when I get there to pick them up. They need to go out of business. Absolutely horrible; if I could give "0" stars I would. Total incompetence regarding items in stock or not. Complete lack of customer service -- a line 6+ people and one guy at the register answering phones and checking people out while 5 (count them FIVE) workers walking lazily about the store not doing anything. One I overhear flat out refused to come behind the counter to help because "he didn't want to." The balloons are confusing -- how to select, some you help yourself to, some you ask them to help you. They shorted me a balloon on top of the entire fiasco and forgot to give me my bag of things; we were too busy discussing how to put together a simple balloon group of 10 balloons. I complained; they didn't care at all. Absolutely will never go here again. Total idiots working here who don't care at all. I have no idea why they get paid. I went in to buy a card, and at the check out this guy asks me if I want a big or little bag. I say big because I intended to do more shopping later and I see no reason to get two bags when all I need is one big bag, and this being my first stop of course I'm going to get the big bag. Well the guy who was checking me out at register 1 (time 6:32 pm) decides to start complaining under his breath about how I'm getting a big bag for my card. As if he doesn't think I can hear him.
