I would rate this store an absolute zero. Do not advertise services you can not always provide. I arrived at the store to get 24 balloons blown up on a slow Sunday afternoon and I instantly was told "their only is a little helium in the tank and the business is deciding to save the rest for tomorrow." I come here because it is near my job and it's the perfect place to get balloons for those special occasions when we celebrate. There is always a slight wait for assistance when I come in. There is never anyone to help when I need to find items that are not balloons up front. On the last time I went, it seemed as if the cashier was high on some type of drug. She did not display normal behavior. I will continue to return because the location is perfect but do not expect the best customer service from this location. At work we celebrate EVERYTHING! Birthdays, Promotions, Baby showers etc. so I come here quite often for some sort of decorations. I love the variety they offer along with how organized the store is. They do offer coupons when you provide your email at check out. They also fill balloons that aren't purchased from Party City, just call in advance for pricing. I was definitely impressed with the decorations my coworkers used for my 27th Birthday! We come here almost every month, if not twice a month and I can't see that changing anytime soon! read more

I recently stopped in to get some balloons that I'd ordered from Amazon filled. It was right when the store opened on a Saturday, and there were 2 employees working the balloon station. One took a look at the balloon sizes and quoted me $4ish for the large balloons and $1.19 for the small balloons. I said thanks and went browsing for other items. I grabbed the glow sticks and table cloth that I needed, and headed back to the front. One of my balloons had a whole in it, so she replaced it, even taking the time to carefully move the confetti over. She'd checked every balloon to make sure that it wasn't leaking. I placed an order online to get 3 bags of 48 flip flop key chains. Once I got to the store, we were informed that employees were searching for the remainder flip flop key chains. They also said that it can take 2-3 hours to fill orders with stock that is supposed to be in the store. The key chains weren't in bags. They were single. After about 15 min of bad customer service and disappointment I was informed the only solution was to refund a portion of my money. The manger walked away and was casually chatting with other employees. I was eventually refunded but I recommend to call party city before ordering online because they do not keep accurate counts of stock. read more

I've been living in dunwoody for quite a while, and I'm very familiar with the perimeter/ashford dunwoody area...but I have never noticed this party city! I used to frequently visit the walmart, hobby lobby, petland, ulta, and every other store in this shopping center...but how can such a huge store, with big letters be so hidden? maybe that's why no one as even written a review for this place. anywayss~~ nothing special about this location. then again, I haven't been to a party city since I was 16 and that was too long ago. nothing's really changed. everything at this location is pretty organized. you got your party decor in the front section of the store. there are diff. themes that separate each aisle from one another. then there's the back section -- halloween heaven. there's several choices of costumes, with more options when it comes to props. this area only has 2 changing stalls w/ curtains. customer service can be a hit or miss. there's also this section of the store (to the left when you walk in), that I totally missed. if I hadn't decided to keep exploring the store, I wouldn't never seen it. the whole wall is plastered with pictures of 200+ costumes. starting from the left, you'll see kids' costumes (both boys & girls), then...the men costumes, and then.. you'll end up with women costumes. the guy that was appointed to work that section of the store told me all the costumes displayed on the wall are in their back room. if you like a certain costume, they'll grab it for you to try on. interesting~~ never knew that. read more

I came in today to do an exchange on a Halloween accessory. I was told numerous times I couldn't do an exchange or return. After reading the receipt to the cashier and to her Manager (the Cashier called the manager over), they both were extremely rude in accepting my exchange. I asked several times did they read the receipt. They do not.... They actually made up their own policy that wasn't even on the policy in the store. Very rude.... Horrible customer service. Beware if you need to do an exchange or return. They won't read it and is not knowledgeable on their policy. read more

It's sad that I have to rate a party store anything less than a 4. I'm normally pretty good at navigating my way through these stores but the staff at this store..... There was an item that was not on the shelf and I was wondering if they may have had any in the back stockroom so I decided to look for someone. First I went to the registers up front because I knew they had radios and they could call someone, no one there. I then walked the front of the store looking down all the aisles and no staff. This was just crazy. Finally the second to last aisle had an associate on a ladder near the end doing what looked like inventory. She didn't look happy or approachable, she kept working and did not say anything to me until I spoke. I asked her for assistance and she helped but it was kind of obvious she didn't want to do it. Not totally sure how you can be a party store with a HUGE selection of balloons but never have helium. I wasn't a business major in college but party store without helium for balloons sounds like a poor business move. But this has been the trend for the last 2 months and I have to go to Publix for less than fun balloons for employee recognition events. If items are purchased with credit card, yes money should go back on card. Most importantly, there is no written policy stating "no cash back" and was told stores do not have to provide policy. I like that there is a Party City location in Perimeter. It's always clean, with a good selection, well laid out and clean and neat. If you call ahead they will always answer and can look for specific items ahead of time. They can even put it on hold for you up front, making your trips WAY faster. The register seems to always be just a bit understaffed, but they get the job done. read more

The worst service ever. They had 3 people working in the entire store. I got lots of Sass while trying to get balloons blown up. I decided to cut my 10 minutes of wait time and go next door to Walmart to buy a tank and proceeded to blow up my own balloons!! Customer service is all any business has to offer. Spent 15 minutes in line. Got to front of line with cups that had sign over them saying buy one get one free "any cup" right over the cups I picked up. "These cups aren't buy one get one free" - cashier. "Let me show you the sign." - clearly shows it. Manager is a complete jerk and does nothing to honor it. "Sorry ma'am it just isn't those cups." I'm hosting a family reunion in July and have been looking for the combo paper/plastic tablecloths all over - Dollar Tree, Walmart, Target, etc. Took a chance and dropped in this store, but didn't see them. On my way out, an employee (actually the manager, Meagan) asked if she could help me. When I explained what I needed, she led me right back to the tablecloths, got up on a ladder and opened a bag to make sure it was what I wanted. When they didn't have the amount I needed, she promised to order them. Three days later, I get a phone call - they are in and being held in her office until I get a chance to pick them up. Not only that, she asked about the theme for the reunion and made several helpful suggestions to carry it out. As enthusiastic and helpful as Meagan, this store is now my go-to place! read more

Incredibly rude and unhelpful staff. All staff appeared to be in the balloon area, even when the store had just opened. No one acknowledged me at all...even when I was standing in front of the register, ready to pay (after finding merchandise on my own because there was nobody walking the floor offering to assist). When one of the three employees in the balloon station finally appeared behind the counter, she was too busy handling her own tasks to pay attention, even when I was standing there (with other customers in line behind me) for at least 3 minutes. I finally gave up waiting for her to say "May I help you over here?" and stepped up to the lighted register to pay. She looked at me, and moved to an unlighted register four slots down, without saying a word. She (and the other three non-helpful clerks) had unpleasant looks on their faces and body language that said they simply could not be bothered with us pesky customers. I was not greeted or even spoken to the ENTIRE time. Geez! I get it that Party City has a monopoly on the party business, so there is little incentive for employees to have to try to make customers happy. But I won't be going back. I am sure Target or Walmart has the paper-ware I need, and I don't really need crabby Millennials with crummy attitudes to blow up my balloons. I'll do it myself. thank you! read more
