I placed my order on April 12th for a May 1 birthday celebration for my 9 year old nephew because I was going to be out of the country. May 1 came and went and I didn't hear a thank you from his Mom who is always very prompt with replies. I even told her to expect a delivery on May 1 for his birthday. I reached out to her on May 3rd and asked her if she had gotten the delivery, which she replied "No". I called Balloons over Atlanta and they couldn't understand why they weren't delivered as they saw them on May 1 ready for a delivery. Well, so my 9 year old received his balloons on May 4 and the bigger disappointment was that they misspelled his name on the balloon. I am completely stunned. I placed our balloon order over two weeks ago and I called and confirmed the order Friday for a Saturday pick up at 2:00. They said everything was good to go. We drove a small fleet of cars to pick the balloons up Saturday because it was a big order, and the store was CLOSED. Completely empty- no one in sight. I called and emailed frenetically because we had dozens of family coming in for our event that started at 5:00. We NEVER heard from Balloons Over Atlanta. Not a PEEP. They completely ghosted us after we placed a large order and confirmed the day before. I am SHOCKED. Is this Ponzi scheme? I am honestly not sure. DO NOT use Balloons Over Atlanta. Truly best-in-class! My baby sister-in-law - who's getting married THIS EVENING - ordered balloons from another place for the reception, and I took them to a grocery store this morning to be inflated. Well wouldn't you know, the wind whisked some off the strings, and either a door frame or a thorny bush deflated some others. Not only were most of the other party stores in the city closed, but the few that were open couldn't replace the large silver Mylar ballon letters spelling out L-O-V-E that I lost. Enter Balloons & Events Over Atlanta. Not only did the owner say she could replace the large letter I lost, but she agreed to leave her family on a Sunday afternoon, while her shop was closed, and drive through a torrential downpour (complete with flash flooding) to arrive within the hour. On top of that, she arrived with the smile and calm, pleasant attitude that I would never be able to bring under the same circumstances. She had me in and out in 5 minutes, and even affixed a sturdy weight to each letter so it wouldn't carry away in the wind. Moreover, instead of taking the time to boot up her payment system, she took down my credit card info and agreed to process my transaction an email a receipt Monday, so I could get back to my hotel and get ready in time for the wedding. Goes without saying, and it's already in their name, but I'll go ahead and say it: I highly recommend Balloons & Events Over Atlanta for any balloon and event needs all over Atlanta. Ok....at the very last minute I needed 25 balloons for my daughter's 25th birthday and I wanted them delivered to Loews hotel in midtown. After calling Balloonacy and being told they only do orders over $200.00 and that they couldn't do it because they had just got back in town, I called Balloons Over Atlanta and was told not a problem, come on over! So I drove up and went inside, armed with a picture of the birthday cake that I wanted the balloons to match, and in less than twenty minutes I got not only 25 perfectly matched, beautiful balloons, but they gave me at no xtra cost, 3 additional balloons, just incase a few popped during transport! Now hold on, they didn't even stop there, they also gave my 2 yr old granddaughter a complimentary balloon as well! I got all this for $40.00 and they would have delivered them too for just $25.00, which I would have gladly paid; however, they were able to load them into my svu and I was off to the hotel without losing a single one! As for the life of the balloons? They lasted into the next day and this was without any special chemical treatments being added to extend their life! I reached out to this company the Friday of Memorial Day weekend to see if they could do a custom balloon delivery for Tuesday, in celebration of a huge event. Gayle in sales responded to me timely. She explained over the phone that was working on a larger order (or something along those lines) and to please bear with her as she would respond. Gayle did send a timely email with options to consider, to which I responded to immediately. I provided her my choice arrangement, questioning if they would be able to do the modifications I requested. This was all on Friday. The next time I heard from her was on Memorial Day at noon. I replied with a thank you but I went another route. I had not heard from her in 3 days! The reason I decided to post this is because of what she failed to do, once I told her I no longer needed her services because I had not heard back from her. A basic customer service skill of an apology would have gone a long way. I would have even considered using this company in the future. That will NOT happen! read more

Unfortunately, this business lost my business before we even really got started. When I first inquired about some decorations for my event, Sarah was incredibly responsive and enthusiastic. However, after a few email exchanges, I realized that I was having to email two or three times to get a response. Sarah twice promised me proposals "by the end of the week" and then "by next Monday," dates that came and went without proposals and without communication as to the reason for the delay. Clearly, such behavior shows disregard for potential new business and red flags as to whether they would have actually shown up on the date of the event. I chose this company to send balloons for my Father's 60th birthday during stupid COVID19 specifically because I wanted the bouquet to have a theme/color scheme and Balloons Over Atlanta seemed to be able to deliver that. I contacted the company with plenty of notice. I was very clear and Gayle was seemingly very clear in reflecting back to me via PHONE AND EMAIL what I was trying to accomplish. Well, whoever MADE the bouquet DID NOT get the memo. I had red white and blue balloons where I should have had only black green and metallic. I did not ask for a "patriotic" bouquet (if thats what you were going for). It ended up mismatched and pretty ugly. I chose what I thought was a more "sophisticated" bouquet option and somehow the end result still looks childish. Do not advertise the sleeker black and metallic HB balloons if you do not intend to use them when a customer selects option #7 on the menu. I am beyond disappointed that in a situation where I have to depend upon the help of others to make my loved ones feel celebrated that they would not heed all of my requests or at least send a proof of what I can expect before delivery. Oh and they also completely forgot the fatigue balloons I requested to honor my fathers military service, so yeah, thanks. read more

Same thing- they took my number and told me they would call me "right back." 1 day later. I call them again. Same result. After trying 6 times total, I got tired of the bad customer service. Balloons Over Atlanta was a huge help to our company Moxie when we requested a Friday afternoon balloon drop the Monday before (as in 4 days). After reaching out to several other companies Balloons Over Atlanta was the only group that could make the short turn around happen. They even had to order a lift as we did not have one on-site and our ceilings are 30 ft tall. We did run into some issues with getting the lift into the building however they made things right by crediting back some of the cost due to the lift issue. The actual Balloon drop went off very smoothly and was well received by our employees! We appreciate their helping in making this drop happen! read more
