I visited party city a few days ago to pick up some fun bridal shower decorations for a "virtual" bridal shower I was attending. I wanted the bride to have something fun and special in her home while we all zoomed in to chat with her! When I arrived, the store itself had a few other customers inside, but it was not too crowded. Everyone was wearing masks and they had signs on the floor directing traffic flow. I made my way to the bridal section and found some really pretty balloons and some other random silly gifts (champagne flute and sash). The balloons were about $20 but included a1 large mylar balloon as well as a few smaller mylar ones which were all so adorable for a bridal shower and they included free helium at the counter after purchase. I had to get them! Check out my photo(s) to see how adorable they are! I made my way to the counter and the girl helping me offered to pit helium in the balloons and even made sure to take special care of the champagne flute so that it wouldn't crack. It was a pleasant experience. Party City is my go to place for all fun party decorations and I always find what I am looking for! read more

Do NOT and whatever you do do NOT buy the number sparklers that are meant for CAKES because they are like FIREWORKS!! I lit one of these on my partner's bed on a little white cake from schnucks and suddenly embers were fallen on the bed and on myself and although it didn't harm me it did burn parts of the sheets. Definitely a safety hazard. read more

I ordered from the party city on LeMay ferry Road. The service was OK. Sales person seemed knowledgeable. However I ordered a delivery between 7-8 o'clock on a Saturday night for an 11 AM brunch on Sunday. By 7 AM all the balloons were already on the floor, and I had paid for the high float which is supposed to last 48 hours. Will never go back there. This is my second time with such bad product performance. read more

People are not lying when they say the employees here are rude. Literally I felt like I was committing a crime for asking a question and making them blow up a balloon. Also HOLD ON to your balloons they do not tie them tight and they will fly away as soon as you get outside. I think I've left 5 reviews total in my entire life, but I felt it was necessary to warn people away from this place. It's NOT a party. read more

So I searched today at Walmart, Big Lots, a Grocery Store AND Hallmark----no basic birthday party hats were to be found. I forgot this little party store was tucked up behind the one plaza ---This place has everything you need to put together a party from table clothes to decorations favors and even some outfits and costumes. I just wanted a party hat for my dog's 6th birthday so I could take some pictures. I found one for 2.00 and I even splurged and got him a little bling that said--It's my birthday. Two things I want to buy for later---Huge Gumballs in various colors....AND they have an entire display dedicated to the one and only Dr. Suess...I would really like to dress up as the cat-in-the hat....for whatever reason....ha.. read more

We ordered $30 worth of balloons for my son's 1st birthday. We had to reschedule twice due to sickness. When I called to reschedule the second time, they couldn't find my order. I offered to come in once we were healthy with my receipt to straighten it out and reorder- they agreed. When I showed up to sort it all out they claimed that I failed to pick up the balloons and were not willing to refund me. It took three employees, all with different stories to finally get one employee to rudely agree to fulfill my order. I will not be shopping at this location again. read more

The staff at this location of Party City are not friendly and they are unhelpful. From the other Yelp reviews, it seems I am not the only one with this opinion. Many of the items in this store are overpriced as well. One example is the Mini Brands toy, an item that is currently very popular and has a suggested retail price of $5.99. They are selling this item for $10. Yet other retail stores are selling them for $5.99. read more

Long story short. I messed up and lost (due to high winds!) a set of balloons for a 30th birthday party that was set to take place in 30 minutes. I explained my situation to the staff and even though I purchased the balloons from another party city, Carrigan and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and understanding of my situation and replaced the balloons as quickly as possible. Great people and wish other retail stores had the same level of customer service. Will absolutely be going back to that location for any future party needs. read more

They actually don't open until 10am Monday-Friday. Which is extremely annoying to show up with a toddler walk up to the door and find out they don't open for another 30 mins! Please change your online time info!! read more

Just left the store at 10/12/18 @ 7:20 PM it took us longer to check out than to shop. Melissa is the worst employee EVER. She needs to invest as much money into a personality as she does her 3 inch fake eyelashes and 4 inch fake nails. She did not greet us or say anything and moved as slow as a turtle swimming in peanut butter. She lacked all skills concerning customer service and maybe all skills concerning just being a person. read more

I visited the Fenton location today to purchase decorations for a bachelorette trip and the staff members made what was supposed to be a fun experience terrible. The middle aged/older man working was extremely rude and spoke to me as if I were incompetent. Meanwhile, he couldn't figure out how to use his computer system, didn't know where I could find the majority of items I asked about, and couldn't answer my question on whether or not they accept visa gift cards. He answered all of my questions with a sly smirk on his face saying, "yep, don't know what to tell ya." I had over $350 worth of items that I was going to purchase along with 3 balloon arches for pickup in July, but his unprofessional, discourteous, and careless behavior led me to reconsider. This experience reminded me of why I shop with smaller locally owned businesses; I will NEVER shop at a Party City again and advise anyone reading this to not waste their time shopping here. read more

I enjoy this location of Party City! Every time I have gone into this location its organized, clean and the staff is always friendly and very eager to help. They have endless items so I am pretty much if you need something for a party (theme, cups, etc) you can find it here! I like the fact that I can call in a balloon order and they talk me through my options and I am able to pick it up on the day I need it, no hassles! Typical cheap, overpriced, and corny decorations. Was hoping for buffalo plaid items for a 1st birthday party but none to be found. I asked the cashier if there were any buffalo plaid balloons... not right now. When I inquired further, his answer was confusing, telling me they have that print in the summer but pack it away after summer. Hmmmm... I asked if there was any "packed away" in the back. "Not right now". I could tell by his voice he had no idea and from his demeanor, was not going to look. Gave me the wrong color balloon weights, got annoyed at me for asking to change them. Whatever. Love the variety at this store. I gave it a one star for one reason poor customer service. I have been multiple times and it never gets better. I always feel like I'm bothering then if I ask a question or even am checking out. I don't think I've seen more than 3 people work in the store and they all seem like the left their personality at the door when they walked in. I know it's Friday night and you would rather be out with friends, but at least you have a job. If the customer service improved I would give more stars. read more

A month ago I called the Fenton location to ask if they had Rose Gold number balloons and they said no. I have to order my balloons off another website. When I went up to the store yesterday the guy said it would be one price. Then come today when I went to get my balloons filled the price magically went up!!! When I said something about it the worker got rude!!! I left my balloons with them to fill and when I got back they had popped two of my custom order balloons and tried to switch it out with theirs!!! No No No!!!! No we are sorry for that would you like different ones! I will never go back there!!!! read more

Not a good experience by any stretch of the imagination. The staff seemed like they were "put out" when I asked them for help ordering balloons. They did not offer any advice-told me to select my balloons and then bring them to the counter. I thoroughly explained to them that I needed them for an 8am event the next morning....so (after they told me they only guarantee them to stay floating for 6-8 hours) I made the time late evening to pick them up. I also paid for something extra to help them stay floating through the next morning's event. My issue with them is this: I said I will be there to get them at 6:30pm punctually and not a minute before. So what did they do....filled them up EARLY and sent me an email at 5:35pm telling me they were ready for pickup!!!!! That is a whole hour earlier and a whole hour they were floating in their store. No option to cancel order because they make a person pre-pay!!! I will NEVER do business with an establishment that asks what time they should be ready and then fills them whenever they want anyway. I will NEVER patronize this store again. First and last time at this Party City. RUDE staff. The only one that was half-way decent was the girl at the front counter, but she was extremely slow. Took forever to wait on two customers ahead of me. I then noticed a sign that said if you had a pick-up order go to the back counter. So, I left there and went to the other counter, and these two women back there acted like I should not have walked up there. They then proceeded to tell me to go back to the other counter and they would come up and help me. Only, they stayed at the other counter, and let me wait longer. Finally, one sauntered up like she had all the time in the world to wait on me. First, she tells me that there is no order after I showed it to her on my phone, then she said there was no order number to go by, and AGAIN I had to show her that it was on there. She goes back and gets my item, then tries to charge me around $5.00 more than what my receipt said. USELESS,RUDE, workers at this store. I think next time, I will just go to Walmart!!!! read more
