I would have rated five, except that in the city of Orlando, where more than 1/3 of the population is Hispanic, there is a plethora of sweet sixteen party supplies and not one single solitary ballon or item for the Latin quinceañera celebration, which is even more elaborate than a regular American 16th birthday. When you call party city, like most businesses in Central Florida, it asks if you want to hear the message in English or Spanish. There's a reason for that. In a day and age where businesses get cancelled for less, this was shocking to me. Do better. read more

Biggest Party City with the greatest selection! We came to this store for some last minute pickups for decorating my son's Sip and See. If you didn't know what that is, it's another party between the baby shower and your child's first birthday where your friends can "meet" the baby. Also known as another excuse to eat and drink with your friends and family. Ours was themed bubbles as in champagne bubbles. This particular location had all the things we were looking for, plus other fun decor stuff that added to the theme! They had theme decorations that matched the gold/beige/white color palette we were looking for in all kinds of nice designs. We showed them a picture of balloons that my fiance found on pinterest and they nailed it upon pickup of our order the next day! No pinterest fail here! We also found other design items that we didn't even think of while perusing the aisles: food toothpick labels, chalkboard mini signage, mason jars, ping pong balls. They also have inflatable numbers and letters in their balloon section With its large size it is a bit harder to find an employee to help, but once you do, they seem engaged and friendly. We've visited other party city locations trying to find inspiration when we didn't have a theme yet, but now we know to go to this location first! I'll definitely scope this out for other future parties that this kiddo is gonna make us do as noob parents. This location is huge! They have a ton to offer and the aisles just seemed to keep going. Everything from costumes, to party supplies, to bachelor bachelorette party offerings, etc. We've been here a couple times to find miscellaneous costume pieces for outfits to wear to conventions and the parks. We've had 50 50 luck on finding exactly what were looking for however we usually find something that will work regardless. Staff is hard to find here if you need help while looking around through the store. However there always cashiers and if you don't mind waiting behind one or two people you can ask them your question and they are usually pretty knowledgeable about where to find things. This is a nice Party City location. A bit smaller than others I have been to before, but much more pleasant and organized, since its kinda far from the "touristsy" area of the city. I am currently taking time out of my work day to write a review about this location, in hopes that it saves people the time and hassle and disappointment of placing an order with party city online. I placed an order for a birthday balloon delivery on December 7th, for a delivery on December 31st between 5 and 6 pm. On December 31st as I was frantically putting together new years and birthday decorations around the house, 6 o'clock came and went, and still no balloons. I contacted this location asking about my balloon order, I was placed on hold the first time and then was hung up on. The second time I called, someone "attempted" to assist and verify what happened with my order, I was then placed on a 30 minute hold, then hung up on...again. My third time calling I was able to speak to another employee who informed me that my order was cancelled because of the availability of the balloons in stock. I ordered a number 3 and a 1, more than 3 weeks ago along with white and rose gold balloons. Now, I completely understand the date of my order was for New Years Eve and understand the high demand of balloon orders. What I cannot understand is how they can be out of the number 3, unless we entered 3021 and I was not aware, what I also can't understand is how more than 3 weeks before my order, I NEVER received a cancellation email, I was never contacted so I could make other plans. I even went through all of my emails to ensure it was not overlooked on my end. All the employee could tell me was, "Well the good news is your purchase has been credited back to you". I was absolutely livid and disappointed that I was not able to deliver the birthday surprise I wanted. There are so many things to call out here, the certain holiday it is, they have 2 huge rows of items, they have an isle to Halloween 24/7, they have TONS of candy to choose from (mix and match style, 15 pieces for $1) and talk about sports party favors and decor. I was blown away by all of the Christmas stuff that there is in this store. they have all of the party supplies you would ever need for a little birthday party for kids, a graduation, a baby shower, even bridal supplies. So, I don't know if you've heard, but this place is pretty giant. I took one walk around just to get my bearings (there's almost an overwhelming amount of awesomeness in this place) and then exchanged my hand basket for a cart. Oh yes- it was going to be one of those shopping trips! I had to look for an employee a time or two, but they were pretty helpful and knew exactly where I could find the obscure things I was looking for. Quick policy complaint: I found one item (a crazy, feathery headdress) that was glorious but also coming apart pretty badly. I figured it was worth some time with my sewing kit since it was the last one they had. When I asked the gal at the register about a discount she called over a manager and proceeded to ring up the rest of my items without ever telling me what the discount had been. I asked and was pretty shocked that it was only $2 off from the price ($17 was now $15). It was pretty damaged, and that discount was a bit weak for my taste, so I ended up leaving that one behind! BUT, On the plus side, if you give then your email address you get an instant $5 off! Heck yeah! I ended up having to go to Balloon World to get gold foil letter balloons (PC only carries numbers in the store), but I'll admit I was looking for pretty specific balloons, so I can't fault them that much. The selection of themed items is enormous, dare I say unsurpassed? Waited almost double the time it said before I decided to call the store and figure out why the order wasn't ready. After their phone system cut out multiple times, finally got ahold of someone and asked about the order. They did they'd go and check on it, then promptly hung up. After repeating the cycle of cut off phone calls and hang ups, I finally got an employee who after keeping me on hold for 15 minutes, come back and says their online ordering system was down. I have frequented this place a few times in the last couple months. It's ginourmous and a bit overwhelming but has everything you could possibly need for any major life event/celebration/holiday you are planning! On the occasions that I have stopped by, there weren't any employees on the sales floor and I ended up walking around, browsing and reading the signs for the aisles to help guide me in my search. I was a little turned off when I had a question about balloons I wanted to order. I felt like I was an afterthought as employees were having a conversation behind the counter and took a few minutes to acknowledge me. And when I asked about their selection of balloons, they pointed at the display overhead with balloons taped against the wall and then pointed to the aisles and gave me the aisle numbers not even offering to show me where. Even with the aisle numbers I still had to browse through the entire aisle to find exactly what I was looking for. It would've been easier(and quicker) if someone walked back with me and showed me the specific section. Anyways I found the package of mylar balloons I wanted and they were affordable . They will also blow them up with helium for free and have them ready for pickup on the day and time you request. I've ordered balloons from here for various events over the years. The staff is pretty friendly and I've never had a problem picking up the balloons that I ordered over the phone. I do find the price tag of $1.00 per bag for the balloons annoying, as it is just a giant plastic shopping bag, but whatever. It's worth it to corral two dozen balloons to the car. I never go on the internet and write reviews but I felt compelled to share the absolute worst experience I have ever encountered with customer service. (Coming from someone who has worked her whole life in customer service and tries to give people the benefit of the doubt) I came a few days after Halloween to return some items with their original tags and receipt. I was informed I cannot return Halloween items after 10/24 per their return policy- ok that sounds fair i will just exchange them as it states on the receipt right? No. I was informed by the manager of the store named Leo that he will not accept exchanges either. I asked him why due to the fact that it is clearly stated on the receipt and his response was "we don't do that here" I was dumbfounded and confused and said maybe they need to look into changing their receipts and he said "i don't know what to tell you" so I left the store utterly shocked. He gave me no legitimate reason as to why he wouldn't allow an exchange and so I then proceeded to call customer service to confirm their exchange policy. The woman on the phone confirmed to me that I should have been able to exchange these items. She then proceeded to call leo the store manager and he said he will not honor the exchange and HANGS UP ON HER! She even went as far to say she would file a complaint on her behalf and mine due to how incredibly rude he was to her on the phone. She then called a different store and spoke with a manager who said he would honor my exchange so I had to drive clear across town for something that should have been honored at the place I originally purchased the items at. Needless to say, I have never experienced such blatant disregard for company policy and by such a rude individual. I never engaged with him in a disrespectful way and I truly don't understand what warranted his ugly behavior. be careful doing business with this location! read more

This Party City is located off Colonial Dr/SR 50 near the Fashion Square Mall. This new store is spacious and well stocked with seasonal, holiday and general party supplies. This store used to be a few miles down in a smaller, older space so it's always nice to visit the newer diggs. My most recent trip had me in search of chili pepper items and they did not let me down. Bowls, table covers, beads, scoops, garlands and I was on my way! It was nice to see items I had shopped for online, in the store so I could gauge if I needed more stuff. Most party city stores are pretty much the same. I especially find them the most useful when it comes to Halloween time and most favorite for me when it comes to the amount of costumes they have or at least costume pieces. We were at this location because we were wasting time before dinner with friends in the colonial area and were also out on the hunt for items to use for decor pieces for our baby shower coming up the following weekend. We are having a little girl whom I am naming Ariel, and so that she is named after the little mermaid we are trying to find decor for an under the sea or mermaid themed baby shower the frustrating part was the only under the sea sets they had were for boys! Either way this store is big and very well organized and always a great place to search if you need invitations, catering boxes for cakes, halloween or just any time costume pieces. I always come to this store normally to pick up boxes for when I do cakes or cupcakes for friends to deliver them in which makes it easier for a pastry chef who needs boxes or piping tips or some themed cake decor that you don't have on hand! read more

I have been around to multiple stores in the area since the Helium Shortage has become a problem back in, Around August? This has not been the only Party City or store in the area that has been Out of Stock of Helium since the shortage began. They do what they can to make sure all of their Customers are able to receive balloons, and do whats fair, and I for one appreciate the limitations so that one person does not order 100 balloons leaving nothing left for the next twenty customers who have birthdays they want to celebrate as well. I have been in a couple times since I learned about the Shortage. Sometimes they have just received a shipment, while other times they have ran out of their inventory for the month. The Party City staff have been quick to offer me Substitutions, such as filling a balloon with regular air and hanging it from the ceiling or suggesting their air filled balloon letters to string up as a "Happy Birthday" message or "Welcome home". While it may not have been what I came in for, they are the only store who has given me a suggestion unlike others who supply helium for balloons. For every other reviewer who has given this party city ( or any other store!) a bad review simply because of something that is out of their control (I.E. Helium Shortage) perhaps you should evaluate how unnecessarily angry you are over a piece of floating latex. Helium is used not only for Balloons, but also for much more important things such as Radiation Monitors, MRIS, Rockets, and in the production of things such as your very own cellphone! Helium is extracted from the earth and not created, and takes thousands of years to develop. Perhaps do a simple research on Google first before accusing the working employees behind the counter of poor customer service and having it out against a perfect stranger. read more

I went to party city tonight to see if I could purchase some decorations for Cinco de Mayo. When I walked into the store they had a small table at the front with some random decorations. They were nice but, I wanted to see where the rest of them were so I could have a better choice. I stood there for a few minutes looking around to try to find somebody to help me. I was hoping that somewhere on the table there might be a sign that says "more items in Aisle X" or something like that. There was not. I walked around for a little bit and finally found someone working the floor. I asked him if there were more decorations than were on the table and he immediately took me to the aisle where I could find some more decorations. There weren't many but I was able to find some really good stuff. I have to say, party city is one of the best places to find just about anything you need for your celebration. I gave it three stars because of the situation I encountered tonight and their lack of customer service by not having some kind of a sign letting people know where the rest of the goods were. This is a great company and an even better location! The staff is very friendly and helpful. It almost seemed like a well oiled machine they way everything ran. Everyone was being a team player from the staff on the floor to the cashiers. The store was clean and organized and the only problem wasn't really staff related it was people staying to long in the dressing room and the staff took care of it in a great manor even gave kudos to the manager Marc on the initiative of the staff member who took care of this issue. I used this store for decor for my daughter's 18th birthday. I had pre-ordered 18 pink and white balloons to hang photos from as the focal point of the party. When my husband came home with the 18 helium filled balloons they were the size of 2 softballs and some of them would not even float in the air. Mind you, we paid $32 for these balloons. I had to stop getting the decorations/food prep completed at home and go to the store myself. Kyle the store manager said they were running low on helium and would replace the balloons. Never an apology. I also ordered a large clear balloon that we were putting $1 bills in as her present. I planned this because I had previously spoken to another employee who said it would work. Kyle wanted to charge me for an extra balloon to hold up the balloon with the cash in it. I had to take time away from the precious day to go back a second time to get what I paid for. I asked for the area or district managers name and phone number and he refused to provide that information. I had been going to that store for years and now I will never go back. read more
