Pretty much all of the Hallmarks are Gold Crown, so this was a no-brainer, or so I thought. While in-shop, I was informed they haven't had them for years, so this was frustrating after going by what their own website said. I even reached out to corporate to correct them in their mistake, but received a canned, generic response, lacking customer service completely. On the flip side, fast forward to Norman's Hallmark in Pottstown. We had some errands to run within this shopping center, so we made this our first stop. Walking in took me back where people actually bought cards, and it was actually somewhat busy since it was Christmas Eve day. After breezing by the counter, I did see the datebooks in a couple different places. I picked one up in addition to purchasing a glitter-bomb pen in rose gold (I'll never lose it due to the extreme sparkle). Associates were very nice and helpful! It felt good being back in Hallmark; sure they had the datebook I've been searching for so I won't have to buy one on ebay, but seeing the ornaments and other gifts took me to a time when this was the place to visit before Christmas, birthdays, on any special occasion. I think I'm the only person who still actually enjoys giving cards (more than receiving nowadays) since this is a lost 'art' now. In contrast to the CA shop and the reply from corporate, this particular store has a welcoming and helpful environment, and I would like to keep my memory of Hallmark this way.

He called Phoebe directly and worked with someone to get the colors he wanted and describe his vision. He said the woman helping him was very nice and helpful. I sent him a photo when the flowers arrived. They were very pretty, but he felt they were not at all what he ordered based on the price he'd paid. In addition, he ordered 12 truffles and only a box of six arrived. He called Phoebe and they were extremely apologetic. They promised a new bouquet would be delivered the next day, along with more truffles. The new bouquet was smaller but pretty. Having said that, we are still disappointed that the bodacious, beautiful bouquet that he ordered did not arrive on Valentine's Day. He paid extra for the "wow" factor and did not get it. Only four red roses came with the initial bouquet. It was large, but mostly greens. A box of twelve truffles would have had more unique flavors, so even that is disappointing. The initial bouquet barely lasted six days. Also disappointing. Good thing I could send him a picture, otherwise he would have never known he did not get what he paid for. You could get what they sent at a grocery store for a fraction of the price. While Phoebe tried to compensate and they were professional on the phone, we are both disappointed and unhappy with the size and quality of the arrangement. If you pay for something, you should get what you paid for; they should have sent a full box of twelve truffles to make up for their mistake.
