Staff were plenty and helpful. It did get surprisingly busy after I arrived. It was a Friday after all, even though early in the day. So much to see, many types of decorations from children to adult, birthday, graduation, retirement and so on. It took a very long time to get my balloons. Although the store associates were nice and apologetic, it was way past the pickup time, and then two of the balloons were already deflating within a couple of hours. Not what I'm expecting after spending over $50 on balloons! Next time there's a birthday, I'll just head over to the Dollar Tree, since those seem to last a lot longer. read more

I stopped by mid-day and found the store to be virtually empty, except for a couple of patrons playing catch. I stood at the register for a few minutes looking for someone who worked there. A gal popped out from under the counter and saw me standing there. The phone rang, so she chose to tend to this task prior to telling me "hello" or "hold on." Instead, she gestured her finger in my direction, which I can only guest meant she would be with me in a jiffy. This place gets a 5 star because of the manager there m, I believe his name was Ben. We had this idea for a gender reveal that involved powder, lots of helium balloons and explosives. We told him our plan and he help us decide on how we were going to achieve it. He was very nice and helpful and when we return the second time he recognized us and even told us after we left he did some research of his own on how we can make our plan happen! Today was not a good day for Party city I think. Maybe a little too busy for the few employees they had. Day before the Super Bowl. Yah, maybe my fault for going there, but its still retail and Customer Service is the reason why you have business. First could not find the candles, couldn't get help because there was soooo many people there. Then we went to go and get our balloons filled, paid the extra dollar (whoopty doo) for there special helium that doesn't deflate for more then eight hours. Well four balloons didn't make it to the party. And they wanted to charge another dollar for the bif bag to put them in. Not really into complaining about that kind of stuff, but really an extra dollar for "special helium", and another dollar for a bag come on really. So again maybe just a bad day, but not a great first impression. read more

This will now be the TO-GO spot for Halloween costumes!!! You would think that Spirit would have a large selection since they cater to Halloween only but we never seem to find anything that is age appropriate or even a decent selection. Some may not like the set-up but I think it's pretty efficient! A wall of costumes, helpers near by to order the costume you want and dressings rooms to try on if you want. I would recommend a couple more dressing rooms but hey, atleast they allow you try them on...... They have a large selection of all things Party, hence the name!!! I just forget about this place since the location is a little far from us.... read more

I would give four stars but it's true that the customer service in this branch is actually not good. That' s the biggest weakness of this place. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it seems like a ghost town. Otherwise they usually have everything we need for birthday parties. Not having experiences with halloween costumes yet. read more

We came in to this party city because we were told from another party city in town square they can print out a banner for us in 25-30 minutes. When we got here it was busy so we got quoted 48 hours. However, Amanda was really busy and she totally tried to get us a banner done in 20 minutes. She was so polite even though we were in a rush. But that printer wasn't working. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a store. I ordered $130 worth of merchandise for delivery and planned my sons birthday party around the 9:00am-11:00 am scheduled delivery. Out of the $130 order, we only received the balloon bouquet. We called the store, and a second Uber driver was sent with the "rest" of the order. They arrived half way through the party with the decorations. We ordered a piñata set with a stick and bat. The piñata was delivered completely smashed and full of holes with no stick so it was unusable. We were also charged for merchandise we never received in either delivery. I called the store back immediately and the manager apologized and promised a refund. It is now 5 weeks later and I have called literally 12 times and have been promised a refund and a call back from the store each time. They have yet to call me back with an update and come up with a different excuse each time I call but still promise a refund. I've spoken to both managers, Jeremy and Casandra. They keep blaming corporate or the district manager for not responding to the refund request or closing the ticket without processing the refund. 5 weeks, 12 calls, still no refund for unusable and missing items. I paid $130 plus delivery driver tips for unusable items that showed up halfway through the party and can't even get a refund for the things I didn't get or came destroyed?! I will never shop there again. As the manager told me directly 2 weeks ago, it is ridiculous that I have not been refunded yet. And then they proceeded to do nothing to fix the situation or call me back as promised. I was completely ripped off after an already horrible experience. This whole thing is so inexcusable from a "reputable" company. read more

Went to this location to check out halloween costumes for our son. My son picked one off a huge board of pictures. The employee then used a walki-talki to relay that info. We were then told to follow the monster feet on the floor where we could pick up the costume. When we got to the table the bag was there. We picked it up and went to try it on in the changing room.. or box with black curtain. The costume looked great on the bag but it stopped there. The costume was very cheap feeling, and was already missing pieces. My son disliked it after it was on. We tried another and it was the same thing, very very poor quality. We passed on this store and their poor quality costumes. read more

I went into this Party City today looking for a few items for an upcoming event. I walked in with a few other people and as soon as we walked in there were a few employees talking against themselves. They seemed pretty oblivious that there were Customers waking in/out. They didn't even stop talking or look in our direction. Throughout my time in the store, I passed by several employees and yet none of them said anything to me (not "hello" or asked if I needed any help). When I was ready to pay for my purchases, there was no one in line so I walked right up to a register where an employee was. I believe she was a manager because she was counting something (didn't catch her name, she a short light brown hair), she never even looked up. I stood there waiting for her to say something but she didn't stop what she was doing. I was about to ask if she was open when an employee came running from our of nowhere and said she could help me at another register. Only then did the short haired employee look up in disgust and visibly annoyed. WORST customer service experience! I think everyone at this store needs a refresher course on what Customer Service is! I don't plan on visiting this store anytime soon! read more

If I could give a negative rating I would just for the customer service. Called and asked specifically if all Halloween items were out. Explains I was looking for a DC item that there was a hook for but no merchandise when I was there last. Was assured it was all out. Drove up from downtown and nope not out. When to counter to ask to find one employee checking out with a line of about 10 deep and two other employees standing there. Asked one of the standing around employees he referred us to the costume counter in the back tried to explain it was accessories not a costume but he cut me off and said to head back. Ok did that only to have them tell me that the area back there was for costumes only and that there was another shipment coming in tomorrow. Would be nice if the employees up front were smart enough to listen to my exact question rather than be lazy and rush me off to someone else. It was almost comical when I asked the question to then hear their answer I wanted to ask if they even listened to my question. Absolute wasted space with those that were up front. read more

Just went to the "new and improved" location in Sunrise Village...got there at 8 pm., looking for a banner and lettering. Had to find the associate, and when I inquired about banners, she must've assumed that I wanted the banners that you created on the machine. She immediately said, "oh our machine is broken and has been, and nobody's coming out to fix it, so I would recommend going to Kent or Lacey or Olympia for banners." She then said, "the same with the registers - they're pretty much broken too -actually everything in the store is breaking!" She was very smug and cynical. I asked about banners that I could peel and stick and she said, "go to Joannes for that." I proceeded to walk down the aisle and look to see what was available in the store. I found nearly 15 items that I was looking for. There were three other associates there and the only interaction they had with me was to remind me that they closed in 25 minutes. The customer service was terrible. These associates clearly hate their jobs. I'm not sure who the manager is, but there is a definite need for A complete overhaul on attitudes and employees! I will definitely never return to this "Party City" again!!! read more
