A great place to purchase items for any type of party. Not to mention, a large selection and sizes of balloons. As well as, a large variety of Pinata's. Of course, they have the most current popular TV show items such as BLUEY and Disney characters. We found a Bluey pinata and a 46 inch Bluey Balloon. They offered to blow the balloon up. We chose not to. But they informed us if we could bring it back changed our mind. I can't believe how large some of the balloons are nowadays. How fun. Pinatas are reasonably priced. If you are looking for party favors, bags, candy and the like this is the place for you. The employee was super kind and friendly. Great selection of last minute party supplies! Can always find what I need when I need to go in. Most recently threw a gender reveal and was able to get a wide array of decorations which was great because hobby lobby, Michael's and target all didn't have any. Balloons are expensive but I think that seems pretty standard across the board in general. Does seem understaffed everytime I go in but luckily I've never been in a hurry. Went in for some Valentine's Day supplies over a week before Valentine's Day and they were cleared out so you gotta be less of a procrastinator than me to get the best stuff for an upcoming holiday! read more

Party City haa long been a go to for me. They can almost always solve my last minute party or event needs and so they've become the first place I turn. This time I needed some balloons inflated. I had the balloons, strings and weights, and I needed helium in them for an event. I've done this in other cities and found it beyond helpful. The staff would inflate the balloons, bag them up so they were easy to load in the car, and save me a lot of time. That's what I was expecting here, especially for the price ($1.60 per balloon), but it's not exactly what went down. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They quickly got my needs assessed, took the balloons and had me at the register paying. I came back to pick up the balloons and they had them beautifully inflated with string and ribbons ready to go. Sadly they weren't bagged, and it was super windy, which made loading them incredibly hard. I asked about bags to cover each bundle individually and they said they didn't do it because they'd get all tangled together. Even when I explained individually again, they still couldn't help. Ironically the very thing they didn't want to happen did in my car because there was nothing keeping them balloons apart. For the cost I expected a bit more but they did come through quickly and happily as in the past so I'll keep coming back. read more

Needed some Hawaiian décor for a tropical party at my convention at Grand Sierra Resort. I took an Uber over to this Party City, Unfortunately all the Hawaiian stuff has been packed up in storage since it's Halloween season right now. I desperately needed those decorations so the store manager helped me scrounge around the whole store, looking for anything remotely tropical. We found some colorful tissue garlands, coconut bra and leis in the costume section, paper umbrellas for the drinks, colorful candies and plastic sunglasses to decorate the tables, colorful plastic tablecloths. The store itself was not that great, but the manager that helped me find items and come up with ideas was terrific. read more

Sal, one of the managers, was super helpful. I did an online pick up for balloons for my kids birthday shoots. He called to explain they didn't have a balloon but told me I could pick a new one upon arrival. I picked a larger one and he discounted it the price I had paid for the previous balloon and made sure my balloons were ready to rock. I ordered 9 balloons of various colors, shapes and sizes and it ran me about $50. My order was ready a little later then promised but the store was super busy so I understood. read more

Working hard to convey my wishes, I expected the bouquet to have a big 16 at the top after the representative read back to me my order as requested which stated the number 16 would be included for an extra charge. This place had exactly what I needed and exactly what was listed in their site. The staff was helpful and kind. Navigating the aisles I was struck by how disorganized everything is. The quality of the items is to be expected for the price point offered. I was surprised to see comic / pop culture tees and hats. I assume to go with the themed birthdays/events. The empty shelves were also surprising. Large areas of the store were empty. I don't know if they were in the middle of bringing in holiday themed items or these are typically vacant. The cleanliness and lack of items would cause a downgrade another star but the kind and helpful customer service cashier brings it up a star. The cashier was eager to help me find what I needed and ensure that if it didn't work as I needed it to she offered up an at home option to achieve the same result. If available elsewhere I wouldn't chose to go this store. It worked in a pinch however. read more

We were in Reno for a 1950s gangster themed event and I wanted one more item to complete my outfit, a boa. I called Party City and lucky for me they had them in stock in multiple colors. When I entered, I noticed the store was pretty empty and there wasn't anyone working up front. I walked around a bit trying to figure out where the boas would be. I found them along the back wall with all the Mardi Gras stuff. Everything was organized by color. Wondering if they had anything more to add to costumes I asked the guy who was unpacking stuff if they had any 1950s gangster stuff. He, "you mean the 20s?" I said, "sure." But I was pretty sure it was the 50s. Anyway, he directed me to two aisles but I didn't really see anything related so I proceeded to the front, paid and that was that. This Party City is located a few exits outside of Downtown Reno. I guess if you are looking for specific party stuff they might be one of the only places to visit. If they do not have it, you probably do not need it. This store is located in the northtowne shopping center near winco. This store is huge. It has pretty much everything you need for your event. It is like Costco, you go I with two to three items and end up with a shopping cart full. Part City carries balloons, both helium and regular. They carry pinatas, all the the candy and toys to stuff the pinata and even a plastic bag to whack it with. They carry table decorations, napkins,cups. If your kid wants a super hero themed party, they have all the matching cups,plates and napkins. They even have costumes to dress up the birthday boy or girl and costumes for the parents. The worst experience ever!! It started when I called to see if they had a gold Mylar number 1 and number zero. We wanted to use the balloons for our 10 year anniversary photo shoot. The girl who answered the phone was SO rude. She told me they had the numbers. I tried to place the order over the phone so they would be ready for pick-up. After everything she says sorry, you can't place an order over the phone, you have to pay for them first. I go to the store an hour later on our way to the photo shoot, I ask for the same thing, and guess what? They have no number 1's in gold. I was livid because the snotty girl on the phone just assured me that they did. I begrudgingly decide on silver because I have no other choice. She hands me the balloons in the package and tells me I need to pay for them before they will blow them up. I head to check out. The girl at the register asked me if I found everything okay, I said no, and explained the situation to her. Her response: dead silence! Finally get the silver balloons and head out. Arrive to photo shoot, get the balloons out of the car...and both balloons promptly detach where they were obviously not securely tied to the string, and I literally watch $20 fly away right before my eyes.... I cannot explain I livid I was/am. The worst costumer service I have ever received, and now the photo shoot idea was ruined. Calling corporate. Will NEVER step foot in a party city again!! read more

Excellent customer service.... We asked the cashier about a pinata on their website. She barely even let us finish before saying "well if it's not in the store and you don't see it it's not here." So, since the website said it was in the store, we went out and called. They picked up after 25 or so rings, just so a female worker could nastily tell us she was with a customer and place us on hold without waiting for a response. Since we were still curious, and the piñata we wanted wasn't available online for shipping, we waited on hold. Two stars is only because at least they are still doing business in Reno. It is a nice place to go for party supplies but store is unorganized, Employees are not friendly and polite. The older lady who did balloons for us was rude. After she popped a few by putting too much air, she got frustrated. It was a pleasure watching her doing it. Another time, we were going to get balloons, three employees were standing behind the counter, only a couple of customers in the store but we were told that nobody can do it that day. I hate this store. And I have to come here somewhat regularly for my job. Usually the employees are really not helpful. The store is huge and unorganized and usually messy. But yesterday I went in looking for what I thought was a specialty item so I was sure it would be a nightmare to find. But surprisingly I was lucky enough to run into Michelle who I came to understand was the new manager and she asked what I was looking for. She did have to ask her employee where it was but then she actually walked me over to the item and showed me where it was. She rang me up and as we chatted I actually forget how much I used to hate this store. I was in and out. And the store is cleaner and overall just a happier place to shop. Thanks Michelle! My first one star review... Sorry but this place is a wreck. I have been to this place several times over the years and nothing seems to change. On a recent visit, looking at Santa suits, I was amazed at what a mess the store was. There were things scattered everywhere. Boxes of stuff completely blocked the hats in the back of the store. There were several of the holiday themed items on the wrong racks which made it difficult to check the prices. I wandered around the store and looked at birthday party items (themed plates, utensils, ext...) and was surprised to see how expensive everything was. I didn't remember them being THAT expensive last time I was in. Not once was I acknowledged the whole 15-20 minutes I was in the store. There were at least two employees, possibly three that could have cared less if I purchased something! read more

Staff is friendly, but very unorganized. I came here to pick up a online order they looked through every order behind the counter then seemed lost when they couldn't find it. I ordered the items the night before and when the manger went in the back to find it on the computer he said he had 30 min left before it was considered late. I had to watch him go to the isles pick up the items then ring them up at the register. I told him I paid online by entering my card and he said their system can't actually take payment yet online. I'm not from around here, and it's hard to imagine the amount of effort it takes for a Party City to earn an overall rating of one-and-a-half stars, but WOW! I'm genuinely amazed that a place meant to sell the concept of happiness, family, and community can hire such rude, careless, egocentric zombies for employees. Literally the worst place on Earth. The people working there aren't very nice, customer service is non existent. If I could give zero stars I would. I continually have terrible experiences every time I go. Honestly I don't know why I keep coming back, maybe in hopes they have new employees and they've turned themselves around...nope! Wow what a disaster! I haven't been in this store in over a year but stopped in today because I was looking for something specific for a birthday party. When I walked in the first I noticed were boxes stacked five tall and shopping carts full of merchandise. The isles were crowded with boxes and the shelves were almost empty. What a disappointment. There was no on the floor to ask for help. I went to check out area to ask a question about balloons and was told they had no helium so no balloons. The clerk then went on to tell me that there was a helium shortage and no one in town had any. I later learned that wasn't true at all. This store is poorly managed and I will not go back nor will I recommend it to anyone. It's a mess and even though they normally would have an item you are looking for chances are this store is such a mess no one could fine it! This store needs serious help!! read more

Seriously would give 0 stars if i could. I paid for an order of balloons for pick up today. I'm at the store right now. Doors are locked. Lights are off. I expect a full refund. And you have lost a customer. No one bothered to call me and say they were leaving early or anything. It's 5:00 in the afternoon! What was the point of providing a phone number if I didn't even get the courtesy of a phone call. Seriously. Worst employees ever. My 4 year old is extremely disappointed the balloons he was promised for his birthday won't be able to be picked up. This is my second bad experience with this location. I ordered eight items online and planned to pick them up at the store. I waited patiently for the email telling me my order was ready for pickup. After about 4 hours I went to the store only to find out they hadn't even started getting my order ready for pickup. While standing in line I had been watching a couple of staff members stocking and moving inventory in the store and wondered why that took precedence over working on my order. To top it off, of course there were a couple of items that were not in stock that I had wanted. I was told by the clerk that what shows available online often differs from what they actually do have in stock. After spending another 20 minutes trying to reconcile what I had ordered and what I was actually purchasing, I left more frustrated than I needed to be.
