UPDATE: a couple days News that All Party City stores will be closed permanently :( Now I feel bad for them I remember when Party City came out, how wildly popular they were, fully stocked! Both temporary Halloween store (that set up in closed down businesses) & huge party decor-supply store in one except open everyday. Lost track of when it started to die out. Except for Halloween & holidays, Thanksgiving/Christmas being major. And this is where my review starts. Still shocked as I went on Saturday & how almost dead it was. But get prices have gone up & keep going up. Selection, though shrunken, still has more than Walmart/Target. Plus, it appears this location is always out of stock. I went 2 weeks ago & Christmas was about gone! Almost empty aisle. Grabbed New Years stuff before it's gone & even then, they didn't have everything. I was disappointed. I guess this one's the bottom of the barrel (low stock) based on reviews. Young people at register were helpful & friendly, ton of parking. I guess Amazon, Dollar Tree & the Mexican candy/Party stores have the jump on them. read more

This review has nothing to do with Customer Service. The girls were kind, helpful, & attentive. The lack of stars are the insane prices. I bought one number three balloon and one zero balloon... 30$ on two balloons and I couldn't even get a balloon anchor ‍. I'm all for getting what you pay for but I was not expecting that. Party city must be having a rough time financially because 2 balloons should never go over 30$ unless they are Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade size. read more

I entered began to browse my options and then realized that the cost of the balloons I desired was going to be more than expected, and that the wait would be longer than expected, because the staff were in no hurry to assist anyone in the store. I proceeded to my local supermarket and purchased a bouquet of mylar balloons which I selected, the attendant inflated, along with a dozen roses and I was out the door in less than 10 minutes. This place is the worst party city I have visited, every time I am looking for selection , I either find the place completely out of everything. Today it looked like they cleaned out all the shelves from every single aisle except the outer ones. I couldn't even find a gift bag for a birthday and tissue paper. No offer of help , except side eyes from the employees. Looks like they cleared out the entire store to avoid working at all. They should have just closed the store for the day instead. Drove 1/2 hour to Temecula to purchase 12 of the pictured mason jar cups as my local store only had 4. As shown in the picture, it says Temecula store has enough in stock and they are currently 2 for $5. I put the cups in my cart along with other items. When I got to the register, I waited in line and when it was my turn, I inquired about the price to ensure that they were on sale. I was told repeatedly that this store does not participate in any of the promotional deals. I showed them this picture that says their store has the item and it shows the 2 for $5 price. They refused to honor this so I left without purchasing anything. I returned to the Menifee store and bought my other items and ordered the cups online from the Moreno Valley store. The Temecula store has lost my business forever. Sad for them as I am a regular Party City customer. read more

This is no fault on the employees of this establishment, but this has to be the most understaffed Party City on the planet. The foot traffic in this store isn't slow by any means, it's also like the only party city in this part of the area. Any time I've come here there's only 2 employees working. That's why it's not stocked, and that's why you have to wait so long to be helped. They either need to staff more people or close down. I am writing this one star review because I walked into this store for my sons birthday the total bill was $110 the next day I realized they charge my bank account four times the same amount, I went to my bank and they reversed the extra charges for 110 back to my account today I login to my account and I realized that party city has charge my account $110 again they are a total scam and this it's just not right for customers now I have to go out of my way ask permission at work to go fix this problem and not get paid for the hours that is going to take for me to go and resolve this issue with my bank once again. We saw quite a few things with no prices displayed at all. I bought a package of squirt guns for an upcoming family reunion. They were priced $9. When they charged me $10.50 instead, I questioned it. One cashier (female with reddish hair) walked over so I could show her the displayed price. She acknowledged that the price was, in fact, shown as $9, then kept shrugging her shoulders and repeating, "I don't know what to tell you." I told her that I should be given $1.50 refund, and she said they couldn't do that. She just kept shrugging and saying she didn't know what to tell me. Me, and all 7 family members that were with me, were shocked at the fact that she didn't seem to care and at the fact that they could not, according to her, give me a refund for the difference. I ended up walking out, but then realized that I should get a picture of the displayed price tags. I immediately (within seconds) went back in, but the cashier had already ripped the price tags down. The cashier who had rung up my purchase (female with multi-colored hair) saw me and basically scolded me for not coming to her about the issue - she was with other customers, though. ? When I walked back over to the counter, both female cashiers told me that things ring up the wrong price ALL THE TIME and there is nothing they can do. They said that the price stickers might have been from last year. It's not the $1.50 that is the issue. It is the COMPLETE LACK OF CARE of the employees that has me stunned. They did NOT care AT ALL. To them, it was just standard operating procedure. We will not be purchasing anything from Party City in the future. Franchise owned so this location does not accept online orders or pickup. They also charge their own prices which are about 60% more for balloons than the corporate locations. For example a 15 ct of balloons inflated online is approximately $50. This location wanted $80. read more

One Rotten Apple: In preparation for my grandmother's joyous 95 birthday I came to Party City for balloons. I was in good spirits. I ordered my balloons then did some shopping while waiting. I was impressed with the customer service when I walked in. There was a nice lady greeing people and we joked with each other. Then, it was time to check out. Dun, dun, dun.... A sales associate starts yelling at all the customers who had organized themselves in lines. We all apparently missed a tiny sign saying "line starts here". We were forced to scramble for space in a line that extended halfway the length of the store. She yelled "Aisle 5! THE LINE STARTS IN AISLE 5!" at all of us. She was rude and nasty. I was not the only person offended by her unprofessionalism. Many of us were discussing it and felt she dealt with the situation in the worst possible way. Has shouting at people ever yielded a positive response? She was a true "kill joy". I left pist off and shaken. Definately not a party in Party City! The next morning we were going out of town & I was in a rush to leave so I shoved the balloons I got into my car & accidentally popped one. I called party city & on the other end was such a sweetie pie named Mikayla answer & reassured me that she could totally help me out & fix the balloon. I was back and forth at this place just about every day a few weeks before my daughter's birthday. Her theme was Dora the Explorer so I had to follow that theme with the decor, color schemes, etc. I was making the goodie bags and I came here to find so many Dora themes, for Diego, not so much. Oh well. The goodie bag stuffers were a little pricey, but I didn't mind it, it's for kids. My husband came here the day before my daughter's birthday to get the balloons blown up (if you bring the receipt, they blow the balloons up for free). We got the 4 ft Dora balloon and she blew away as soon as my husband tried to put her in the car. He went back in and they gave her a new balloon with weights on her feet so she would be a gliding balloon instead. I thought that was very cool of them! This place was so disappointing! We walked in, were passed by a handful of employees and were never once greeted or asked if we needed any help. Sadly, shelves and aisles were empty and the store was just lacking. There was ONE regular register open (beside the balloon counter where a couple people were already waiting)...and they let the line build up until it ran into the aisle before opening up a second register. Instead of asking for the next person in line, they just let other people (who weren't even originally in line) just cut in. RUDE! The line I waited in was having technical difficulties where a manager was called to assist. They finally took that customer to another register while the manager (silently) continued to fix the problem. Instead of informing everyone in line that she was having issues, she just let us continue standing there like idiots. We finally jumped over to the only other register that was open, everyone irate and complaining. I know what you're thinking, "Nino, Halloween just happened, why didn't you buy your mustache then?" Good point, allow me to retort: I didn't receive the invitation until AFTER Halloween. So this seriously cuts down my choices and comparisons. Stores that specialize in costumes and gag-gifts aren't usually open out of season. I am so impressed with how hard the employee was working when I curbside pick up recently. I think his name was Cody (maybe Chad?). He was slammed with tons of cars picking up at the same time and it looked like he was the only one working, but he hustled from car to car jogging back and forth with every order. It would be so easy for him to just take his time and make everyone wait, but he really cared about getting everyone their orders quickly.
