I was going to start out with my typical 4-star rating for a good place I've only been to once, but after experiencing the festive majesty of this place, it really is as good as it gets (for a party super-store). Beyond the shear vastness of the variety, a couple of other things pushed this into the 5-star rating. First, was the amazing selection of 99-cent cards (see photo). A whole wall of them. Probably the biggest selection I've ever seen. Second was the friendly & helpful staff. In fact, I learned something cool. Now if you are a Party City regular, you may know this, but they "rent" tanks of helium. I learned this while gazing at those small, disposable, tanks of helium you can buy. For about the same price (and a deposit), you can get a BIG tank that fills MANY more balloons. However, I was also told, you need to reserve one, as they are not held in the store. This makes me think you might also get it on your own somewhere else, but this is very convenient and, they sell balloons. A TON of balloon! Well not a ton if they are filled with helium, because then they are lighter than air, but you get the idea. Anyway, great place to browse, and eat a few pieces of 7-cent candy (which I did pay for). Walked in and (short, orange/red hair) manager followed my family around the whole store and even behind us as we made our way to the register. Considering we spent over $100 on Halloween costumes, we expected to be treated a little better. She even made sure to follow us as our children viewed the outdoor Halloween decorations. There weren't many people of color in the store so it was pretty obvious that she was keeping a close proximity to us while never even asking if we needed any assistance. I took us aback when we heard her ask another family how they were and if they needed anything. Ladies at the checkout lane were great and even gave the children a balloon however being followed through every section made our experience 1 star. read more

I had a good experience with ordering a bunch of birthday balloons on a Thursday and then easy pickup on a Friday. Everything was ready right on time and prepaid by CC, so no lines. :-) They even sent a reminder email that the order was ready for pickup; so about as good as it gets. read more

Good grief would y'all hire some extra help on Saturday morning? There was only one employee working the counter when they opened and obviously a huge line formed with people picking up items for their parties later that day. A second employee finally shuffled in carrying fast food and yawning. If you order online you still have to wait in the line to pick up your balloons. Was in here two Saturdays in a row and believe me, you don't want to go through what I did! They have 0 plan in place as to getting customers in and out in a timely way. The girl blowing up the balloons was so friendly so did want to mention how much I appreciated her. I'll drive to another location from now on. Cashier Raul was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He overcharged me and did not give me a receipt. When he said he could refund me the difference for what he overcharged i told him he had the receipt. He said he did not. When he realized he did he didn't apologize he said "okay sheesh sorry" and acted like he was irritated. They also popped one of my balloons and didn't return the extra ones from my pack. Raul claims he is the manager. I hope that is not true because then not only does their customer service suck but their management is terrible as well. read more

It's a dang shame that you have a great selection of party supplies, but your employees don't care! If I was the CEO I would do a "undercover boss episode". Yes, I know it's Super Bowl weekend but maybe instead of employees stocking candy which clearly won't be sold today, you can open up a couple registers. I had to get my balloons aired up and didn't mind coming back but since I forgot a number 7 candle I asked if the employee working the online pick up could ring it up and she said no but that 30 customers in line can! I should of just walked out with the $3.00 candle but I'm raised a little better than the ways these employees treat customers. If I was the manager I would "manage" these kids a lot better! Let me be honest. I come here for Balloons. They have an amazing selection and have the right balloon for every occasion. However, you will need to plan WAY ahead if you want balloons. Don't think you'll walk into this store and pick out a balloon and get it oh, in 10-15 mins. They make you wait hours and tell you to come back. They are not staffed for weekend balloon rush! They have a couple of team members filling balloons, and the rest of the store working the registers for the lines of people trying to pay for balloons they have to come pick up hours from now! Went in for 1 balloon for my daughter's birthday party. There was a long line, which I expected because it is also graduation weekend. There were 5 people behind the balloon counter but none of them were with customers. One was on her phone and they were all talking amongst themselves. When it was my turn I was told to go pay for the balloon and then she would fill it. Irritating but ok. At the register, the woman ignored me while she was ringing us up. I told her that I didn't need a bag because I was going right back over to the balloon counter. She ripped my items back out of the bag and slammed them down on the counter in front of me and glared at me while wadding up the bag. I hope to never have to go back to this location. read more

I came to Party City to pick up all essentials for my son's 10th birthday party. As I was trying to pick out balloons the front lady tells me they are out of helium. What! How is a party store out of helium!?!?! It's like saying a dentist office is out of Novocain. It just doesn't happen. Poor business practice. Party City is where you I go to find last minute items, but I would never suggest making it a "quick in and out" visit. Even if you find the items you need right away, the staff at the registers are very slow paced, therefore the lines pile up. read more

Cindy who informed me that she's the manager is extremely rude. Give her a name to pick up an order and immediately get asked for a receipt. I didn't have one so said I would call my girlfriend. While on phone I state that they apparently don't have the orders categorized by name and she interrupts saying "oh yes we do" then she miraculously find my order by name nonetheless. Anyhow she gives me my balloons with the dirtiest look ever for some reason then when I'm just trying to keep my mouth shut while walking out she gives me the most sarcastic "have a nice day" I've ever heard then when I ask why she would do that she does the crap eating grin like "oh sir I just want you to have a nice day". She knew exactly what she was doing and trying her best to anger me. I have never in my 42 years had someone so obviously try to irritate me. If you go to this store avoid Cindy. Horrible!! I called to get a balloon filled for a photo session they told me no problem, and got my name.. I got there which is 30 min drive from my house and waited by the balloons when it was my turn, the rude lady asked me to step into the check out line to have my balloon filled.. no problem I get into line with my one balloon and when it was my turn the cashier informed me it will be a hour wait.. I said called yesterday and said I would be in this morning to have my one balloon filled. She said no sorry I don't know who you spoke with but Saturday is a busy day.. hence I knew that, that's why I called in to make sure my 30 min drive would be worth it! Extremely rude and unprofessional!!! I will not be back and I will take my business else where! Oh not to mention as I was leaving the lady behind me with five balloons to fill was helped and got her balloons then and there.. I was shocked.
