3/24/26: I wanted to update my review after hearing back from the owners. They personally reached out to explain that they recently received guidance from the health department not to accept outside cups due to cross-contamination concerns, and I really appreciated them taking the time to explain that. They also shared that the employee helping me was in her first week, which gave helpful context to the situation. As a kind gesture, they sent me a $10 gift card, which I thought was very thoughtful. When I came back in to use it, they recognized my name from the situation and took the time to talk with me in person and explain everything again. That really meant a lot and showed how much they care about their customers. Customer service and communication go a long way, and I'm grateful for the way they handled everything. I'm looking forward to continuing to support them. Old review: Melby's has really great drinks and the atmosphere is honestly one of the reasons I keep going back. It's a cozy spot and the coffee itself is consistently good. That said, the customer service can be hit or miss. The employees often come across as a bit unpleasant, which takes away from the experience. One thing that's especially frustrating is their refusal to allow personal cups. Almost every other coffee shop I visit is happy to accommodate this, and it doesn't require much effort, many places simply set the cup on the counter and pour the drink without even touching it. It's a small thing, but it makes a difference for customers who are trying to reduce waste or just prefer using their own cup. I really do like Melby's drinks and vibe, but improving the customer service and being a little more flexible with simple requests like personal cups would make the experience much better. read more

Second-best chai tea latte we have found in DFW. I love that it is packed with flavor but not overly sweet. Melby's serves an enormous variety of teas, coffees, smoothies, and other drinks iced and hot. Whether you need to warm up or cool off, there's something for everyone (even a babyccino). I plan to try the frozen lemonade once the summer heat comes. They always have creative holiday specials, too. For me it's a bummer there isn't much in the way of baked goods other than macarons, but it is a coffeehouse, not a cafe. I've been coming here for years and the quality of food and customer service has been consistent. The atmosphere of Melby's is calm and inviting. Melby's is my go-to spot for matcha lattes. I highly recommend if you're in the area. The service is speedy and the staff are friendly. Only downside is they are a little on the pricey side. Inside the shop they have plenty of seating. It's fairly quiet and many people are often working with their laptops out. They also have some pretty tasty sweet treats available. Absolutely, I have to say, this is hands-down the most incredible Matcha I've ever experienced! I've sampled various places, but this one absolutely tops them all. The coffee shop vibe is just perfect I'm totally in love with the beautiful flowers and the warm, natural light that fills the space. And don't get me started on the staff! This space is pretty cute and since it's located in a shopping complex there's plenty of parking! It was pretty busy when we got there with people reading or catching up! The drink options all sounded really good be we opted for the Vietnamese coffee and the Ube Matcha Latte. The Vietnamese coffee was the right brew strength and not overly sweetened. I met someone for coffee here based on ChatGPT suggestion. I was looking for a place that was handicap accessible, good coffee and kid friendly snacks. The coffee was just coffee. Such excellent drinks! I had an iced Vietnamese coffee with ube crema (limited summer topping) and boba. The hubbs had a caramel frappucino and said it was better than "you know where." LOL! My drink was amazing. The coffee was not too sweet and the ube crema was purple creamy perfection on top. (Ube is a delicious purple yam.) I also would have gotten pastries, but it was well after noon and they were pretty wiped out -- something that probably means the pastries here are good. The inside is a welcoming and pretty space for hanging out. The ladies working were very nice. The shop is in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking. The coffee was interesting, I ordered regular coffee but their coffee machine wasn't working ( not a strong start). The employee tells me that she can do an americano which is "basically the same thing" per the barista, I did come for coffee so I agree the americano in leu of a regular brew since that option didn't exist. It may sound as if they problem solved and substituted for the customer but they didn't charge me for the coffee I wanted, they charged me for the more expensive expresso drink they recommended- that's just bad business. I also ordered a Pistachio cold brew and disappointingly they put ice in it as if it's an ice coffee. Perhaps some people enjoy ice in their chilled brew but that should be conveyed to the customer upon ordering as I did not appreciate paying for a beverage filled with ice and then the subsequent diluted flavor. Recommended all patrons ask a lot of questions to ensure they are getting what they pay for and if you like cream in your coffee be prepared that's a .15 cent surcharge. read more

Cute little coffee shop, with a modern vibe. Didn't look like much from the outside but was pleasantly surprised upon stepping inside. It's small inside, so wouldn't recommend for a big group to gather, but it seems to be a great place to meet up with a few friends or get some work done. I stopped by to grab something to go though, got the Honey Lavender Matcha. The barista was super nice and helpful when I was trying to decide between a few different drink options. The drink itself wasn't bad, would've liked to have experienced more of the honey lavender throughout the drink not just at the top. Came here for an event. I got the iced gingerbread latte with almond milk. It was very delicious. Not overly sweet. And has a good ginger spice to it. I would enjoy trying this hot but today was a little warm outside. This cafe is so cute inside ! I love plants and this place was filled and so healthy! Such a cute interior, lovely baristas, and delicious coffee! My best friend/fellow Yelp Elite and I came in around 10 AM (from Dallas!) as we were running errands in the area. They had cute posters outside advertising seasonal drinks and such and as we walked in, we saw a big group of people crocheting/knitting/etc. (called a stich and bitch, fun fact). Immediately loved the vibe. My friend got a cold brew with pistachio foam and I ordered coffee beans. We also got the cutest stickers (I'll try to remember to add a photo) - they have some really cute merch! Oh.My.Goodness! Such a great visit. I stopped in today for an Iced Gingerbread Latte with oatmilk and WOWOWOW. It was incredibly delicious! The ladies who made it were so friendly and fast too. The Gingerbread Latte has two shots of espresso with brown sugar syrup and cinnamon with your milk choice. I've had a few gingerbread drinks this season and this one, by far, is the BEST. I used to come over here 3x (at least!) a week when I had a membership with Fitness Connection. As, I was walking in someone was mentioning to the person he was with from a neighboring spot in the strip that he liked Melby's and they should go ahead and get something there. Inside is a cute coffee shop, with plenty of spots to sit and drink or eat if you need to stay there. Staff was extremely kind and helpful during my visit. My fave hidden gem! This boba spot is in Watauga, Tx. I stumbled upon it when trying to find a study spot and I'm glad I did.
