If I could give a negative 10, I certainly would. Went on July 11th at 3:30 pm - three girls behind balloon counter. I stood waiting for help while they played on the phone. Finally asked if anyone was going to help me. Was told they were all on break. Told them to get someone who wasn't - then was told they could help. I'm a disabled vet so I asked for help getting balloons from bottom shelf and was told they can't leave from behind the counter. Asked for manager and was told she (Shannon) was on break too. They caused the business at least $600, since I was going to purchase nearly everything I wanted from this store. NO WAY would I EVER consider this place again. My reach is far, so I will tell everyone I know in this area to not go there. I just looked at reviews and realized there's an obvious issue with the lack of service. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. This place is disgusting dust everywhere, mold inside, and dirty all around. The staff don't help at all; they just stand around talking while customers are ignored. The manager was useless and didn't do anything. To top it off, they overcharged us and everything is already way overpriced. I'd rather drive a few extra miles to Party City, where at least it's clean, fair, and professional. It works although I find it less optimal than Party City. On a plus note both are close to each other. You might save some money comparing. If I had to guess, this has less inventory than its competitor. Yet my opinion is it's probably cheaper. That alone is a good thing, as inflation is hitting all of our wallets. Here you'll find most of what you're looking for too. A clean store and very well organized. Checkout can take some time, but I do like the employees here. They've been great when in a rush looking for items. Their candies are quite reasonable too. Is this the greatest store in the world? Nope yet it's a decent option if in the area. Just found this location, I normally go to the ashburn store, found a few items that I needed. Needed a costume for a party in January, knew it was out of season but I got some great ideas on what is available. FYI, they don't close at 9 (or, they don't choose to). I walked in at 8:28 only to be told I had two minutes to shop. I asked why they were closing at 8:30 when it says 9 online -- the only response was just "We close at 8:30." I asked if I could still get some quick balloons? "We're out of helium." Hmm. Grabbed a fraction of what I needed in under a minute, and was ushered out of the store as two more cars of people tried to enter/were locked out. At the very least, change your hours online or post a sign on the door saying that you're closing early. read more

This place looks a bit rundown from the outside. But the inside has a lot to offer. The store is organized by occasions/ holidays. It is pretty easy to navigate. The staff is usually available to assist with finding stuff in the store. They also have a balloon center. They have those giant numbers & letter balloons. I bought 2 numbers balloons for my friend's birthday. Sadly, one of the balloons didn't get seal properly, it started to leak within an hour! read more

Dark and dingy interior. Staff not very nice. They want you to wait to get balloons inflated behind orders that weren't scheduled to be picked up until later in the day. This makes no sense. Prices were extremely high and the selection looked old and dated. A package of 12 paper plates was about $5. I can get treated better somewhere else and pay a lot less for balloons. I will never go back to this store again. Good luck trying to find someone to help you if you need it. There was no one available to help me with retrieving a Halloween costume that was stored in their back room, nor was there a sign directing me where to go (a salesperson or a cashier) to ask for assistance. I purchased a Mylar character balloon and several latex balloons for an event that day, and the Mylar balloon popped while tied to a weight before I could get to the party. When I called to see if it would be possible to get a refund, the manager said I would have to bring the balloon in that day since it popped that day, as if the day I brought it back would make a difference for a completely deflated balloon. From now on, I will just drive a few extra miles to Party City where they have better quality products and more customer friendly staff. read more

I was shopping for some items for an upcoming birthday party and I was able to find what I needed here. This store is located in a really busy shopping center but parking isn't too bad. I was greeted when I walked in and the cashier was friendly when ringing me up. The lighting inside the store is a little dark and depressing. Also, the store can get a little confusing because they don't have the aisles labeled (happy birthday items, wedding, baby showers, etc). With all that being said, they probably have all your party needs here. I saw a lot of different party themed items, so it's worth checking out. Everything was reasonably priced as well. read more

Staffing is so bad Manager Shuw walked away in a middle of the conversations. My cousin ordered decorations for a her baby shower and the ribbons were not properly attached to the decoration. I received poor customer service from the manager on duty on 02/26/2019 around 1:30 pm. The slender African American gentleman was on his cellphone when I entered the store. He did not give the greeting of the day or nothing. I approached him as asked him did they have some cake boxes. He said Nawl, but we have boxes over there on aisle 9. I started to walk down aisle 9 then I changed my mind. I thought why spend my money here and the manager could not show me the merchandise they have for sale. As I was about to leave the store, the manage on the duty asked me did I find the boxes. I told him no. I will spend my money where they have better customer service other than pointing where something is. I called the 1-877 number for them. The senior manager of the store called me today at 11:54 am. I shared with him what happened and he told me f*ck you and hung up. I called back and he refused to answer the phone. This is the best place to go if you need dated party supplies. It literally feels like you're waking into the 90's. I needed to buy Pride related things for a work party - needless to say there was nothing. I purchased some latex balloons in a variety of colors. Customer service was sparse. Man, the two previous reviews for this place are harrrrsh! I thought that Party Depot was perfectly fine for what it is: a party supply store! It's nestled into the Springfield shopping center on Old Keene Mill Road (the one with the David's Bridal) and is pretty enormous. It's logically laid out and while one employee didn't seem to know too much about their inventory, the guy who checked me out was very nice and pointed me in the right direction without incident. I think A-OK sums this place up pretty perfectly, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back the next time I'm in need of a helium tank and balloon clips and ribbon and ring pops that I totally impulse bought at the register. read more

This place is AH-mazing..they have everything you can imagine. In my feeble search for disposable shot cups, I not only found two different sizes that I needed, but they had options of various colors, shapes AND sizes! They have some really great holiday stuff, different types of themes, etc... Staff is friendly and they try to check out quickly..so lines are kept to a minimum. Went there and bought bags of candy for a piniata the next day I was filling it up and realized that the candy was over a year expired! OH MY GOD. Then I went back to exchange it the manager looked like he didn't give a F... any way I went to the back and turns out there about 4 BINS FULL OF EXPIRED CANDY. What's even worse is that I've realized that they had those bins on sale so they can still sell and get rid of it quick! That's just NASTY! Party Depot provides a one stop shop for all your party needs. The goods that the party depot sells are relatively inexpensive and most are meant to be disposable or at least not for long term usage. They sell numerous party goods that are appropriate for weddings, birthdays, and seasonal occasions. They are renowned for their selection of Halloween costumes (adult and children) and accouterments. Additionally, they sell balloons of all shapes, colors and sizes -- mylar, latex, etc. -- you name it and they have the perfect size and color at a very affordable price. A national helium shortage brought me here, after trying Party City. Party Depot had helium however from the beavis and butthead of employees I now know who inhaled all the helium. Try shopping elsewhere if possible or just visit for your amusement. read more
